Beware!! The short, heavyset woman with the nasty attitude that takes your order and runs the register is routinely ripping people off. She charged more than the menu price for our food and when I should have gotten $45 in change, she handed me $25 shoving it into my hand instead of counting it back to me and then quickly walked away even though there was a long line of people waiting to order. I waited for her to return and told her she shortchanged me and she just sighed and gave me my $20. We ordered salad rolls for an appetizer and they came out after our other food. There were 4 of us and our food came out one at a time, with half an hour between our first and last entree. In that half hour I watched the register woman trying to rip off 3 more customers. I wasn't expecting too much from Noodle Zone, but my mother has been dying for bubble tea, and this is the only place in the Tri Cities area that has it. Not only do they have it, but they have dozens of flavors... make sure to get the awesome tapioca pearls. "If it's too sweet or you don't like it, let me know, we'll remake it," we were told. The food wasn't necessarily the best I've ever had, but it was solid. They are totally willing to customize your dish, for example, I wanted the ginger vegetable dish, but after asking what vegetables were included, they told me I could add whatever vegetables I wanted, so I was able to add broccoli for no extra charge. I was also able to choose between steamed or fried tofu as well as my spiciness level. When I ordered the spiciest #5 level, they truly served a spicy dish instead of watering it down. My parents ordered the sweet n' sour chicken and cashew shrimp, and they both liked their dishes. You can also choose to have it served on top of white rice, noodles, or half and half. The owner even came out and brought me some of his homemade hot sauces when he heard I ordered the spiciest #5 level... the garlic chili sauce is amazing. Look for it on the side by the plastic silverware to the left of the cash register. If you eat in, they will give you the option of having a real glass of water and silverware. Noodle Zone makes some of the best Thai food in the Tri-Cities, in my opinion. I've been a fan of their food since back when they were just a little storefront at the mall. It figures that with food so delicious, they would eventually open up their own stand-alone restaurant to much success. My favorite dish is the pad kee mao, but my family and I have tried several other dishes, and everything we've gotten has almost always been a big hit for us. Just left this place. They had the same item on the menu for different prices. The owners kids were running around watching movies on their laptop at full volume and yelling on their cell phone. None of the staff would do anything about it and let it continue. There were two tables withe people, one table moved as far as possible from the kids and the other table left. One of the best kept Asian restaurants in the TC area. By far, the best pho I have had in this area and I've tried many. Their teriyaki is also good. I like this place. The chicken fresh rolls with peanut sauce is my favorite dish. We've also had shrimp and chicken pad thai, chicken pho, red curry with chicken, teriyaki shrimp. Over the past couple years, we (husband and kids) have been here probably 20 times. The food looks and tastes consistent and delicious. The owner (woman) is there most often. She runs a tight ship and works tirelessly! Cleaning tables, taking orders, prepping orders, running the register. She is over the top, but I like her style. She gets the job done! Finally find a place in tri-cities that makes real boba tea or milk tea. They don't have it on the menu but you can definitely ask them to make the boba tea in liquid form instead of ice shake form as liquid forms should be the most authentic ones. We have always loved coming to noodle zone. We would be here almost every week. Today was a huge disappointment. The register girl, with the glasses was extremely rude! We shrugged it off. Then when she came to bring our food out, we asked for chop sticks. She walked away without saying anything, we keep looking at her to see if she'll say something or bring them over. Instead she starts making someone else's food. When she finally notices us looking, she rudely says " the chopsticks are not the table"(near the register). Horrible service. The food was good though. We have gone to noodle since it first opened. At first we loved it. It is family owned and they seemed to really take their time to get to know their customers. However much has changed. The younger family member that take the orders are rude and don't care about being there. They have gone through many cooks and it has really gone down hill. We decided that we would spend our money elsewhere when we go out because we are family of 6 and it is expensive to go out. If they decide to change things up and start fresh with a new menu and clean up their place we might give them another try. But right now it's not worth your money try another Thai food place. read more

Some of the best Thai food I have have had. The Teriyaki plates are super loaded with food and for under $10. The Boba (Bubble) teas are my favorite in the tri cities by far. I've ordered a few times here and service is not that great. Often times it takes a long time. One time I ordered to go, went home and they made a mistake on my order. Today I came in fall in line and when it's my turn the lady started attending to the man next to me skipped and ignored me. The guy had to tell her I was first. Anyhow I ordered, then saw my teriyaki was already done and in the box but the other item took forever. So basically my teriyaki has been sitting cold waiting for the other item. Some may feel those are no biggie but then came home and saw my cilantro is dirty. I don't know if they washed them before chopping. It irritates me more. So ive been to noodle zone a few times. i return just because they are the only ones that have thai tea pho close by. but as for their grilling food, ill give them a two star. Dont order their shrimp as for the reason you will be given tiny nasty tasting salad shrimp. and one main thing you will notice is the big hispanic making the food behind the grill. somewhat made me question the authenticity of the asian cousine. Another thing i noticed was his grill. very dirty left over food all over his grill. he rarely scraped his food, and rarely i seen him dump the leftover food. his cleaning of the spot he used to grill on wasnt great. it was just a scrape and dump new food. i dont think thats a way to handle a grill or clean that spot. i dont recommend them to anyone. read more

I ordered their Thai Fried Rice with chicken because I've had it before at other Thai restaurants. It tastes like seafood, I'm assuming it's because they cook everything on the same grill. It wasn't that great in my opinion, it was bland and I couldn't get the seafood taste out even after adding siracha and soy sauce. I have to agree with Larry, I've been here twice now within the last two months hoping my first time was jut a fluke. But no, the teriyaki is, well; just not there. One can only swirl their noodles and flimsy beef around the bottom of the plate for any glimpse of sauce so many times before giving up. Have been coming here for years now and hooked my boyfriend on it as well. A lot of our date nights consisted of noodle zone but on one of these trips when I went to pay I signed the receipt and didn't add a tip or sign off the total amount I just left it blank not thinking much of it but later that night as I was on my bank account looking for something I noticed that I was charged $40 from noodle zone instead of the price on the receipt of $33. So they decided to use the fact that i left the receipt blank to fill in a tip of $7. They don't serve your food you pick it up at the counter, they aren't amazingly friendly or really any kind of deserving of a tip as they are not waiting on people or doing anything more than what someone at McDonald's does. Needless to say I was pissed but I decided against going back to demand for my money seeing as how they stole it from me but maybe they'll take those $7 and buy some class and stop stealing from their faithful clients that have been going for years. Stay away! I've tried Noodle Zone twice now - first time was awful but I thought I'd give it another try. First time I got the chicken pud see ew. Tasted like nothing, and the texture was terrible. So slimy and greasy. Chicken tasted old. Office wanted lunch so they chose to eat there, and obviously I can't say no to a free lunch. Went for the pud kee mao, which is traditionally spicer and more flavorful. Again, tasted like nothing and it was soooo greasy and disgusting. The Stars mean nothing other than how much red pepper flakes they put on top. They aren't cooked in with the noodles, as it should be.
