Hands down the best sushi in Tri-Cities. The sushi is of excellent taste and quality 100% of the time, and my partner and I are frequent visitors of this place. Great gluten free options and they are super careful with cross contamination. Other sushi places in town have gotten my partner sick with gluten, but Tomi has never done this. Food comes out very quick, service is efficient, and staff is very friendly. Our favorites are the crunch roll, crab puffs, spider roll, GF Tomi Roll, and GF Tasty roll. My husband and I got in to town late evening and were trying to find somewhere to have dinner that was open past 8pm. Stumbled upon Tomi Sushi and so glad I did! We arrived at Tomi right before 9pm after checking into our hotel. So many workers/sushi chefs saw us but no one acknowledged us or said a word to us. Finally after standing there and looking around, someone came up and asked if we'd been helped and was shocked to hear that no one helped us. The restaurant didn't seem too busy, as there was only 3 other tables they had guests at them. He seated us and got us menus and waters right away. We ordered 3 sushi rolls and ramen. The food came out fairly quick. We ordered ramen, the sunset roll, the fire roll and a salmon skin roll. Our favorite roll out of the 3 was the fire roll. The flavor of the protein and the sauce on it was refreshing and delicious. Our waiter was so friendly and great to talk to. If you think this is good ramen, you've never tasted actual ramen. It's not horrible but far from good. Been there twice. I swear they used spaghetti for noodles. Broth is ok but far from authentic or even "pretty good". Not sure how this place rates 4+ stars. read more

A few similarities indicate this could be a sister restaurant to Aki ~ faux brick wall, wall bench seating, the physical menu style, house specials. The dead giveaway was the sushi rolls. Tomi is a great sushi and ramen place. Truthfully one of the best Tri-cities has to offer. The staff are friendly and check in with customers frequently. The yam was seasoned perfectly and the tokoyaki didn't have a slimey texture when bitten into. For sushi roll we have a simple yam tempura and shrimp tempura, they were fried well, well put together, and seasoned fine. I will say that some rolls were hard to pull apart and when it finally was it fell apart so difficult to eat with chopsticks but this was a minor thing. Overall the sushi rolls were great! The chicken teriyaki was flavorful and perfectly tender. The miso soup had a light flavor and no so overpowering. As for the ramen, that was one of the most delicious ramens I've had. Every bite was different and the portion they give is a nice big bowl, I couldn't finish it all. Service: 1/5; this was the real problem... salad and soup came quickly, that was great. Ramen came out about 10 mins as expected. The hibachi combo came another 10 mins, or more, later. Server said checked on it, and still nowhere to be seeing for quite awhile. Was delivered by a different server and didn't see any server again until flagged down. Hibachi combo lacked a savory flavor and finally covered it in a sauce I had them bring out. Was better with a bit sauce. Timing of food coming out and the general dismissive attitude made the service a 1. Was not an o early busy nights several servers had plenty of time to chat it up with their tables. This is the best sushi place in the Tri-Cities!! My family recently moved to the area from Southern California so you could imagine our hunt for comparable sushi to the coast. This was the best sushi we have tried here and the service was also a 10/10. We were taken care of by May, who was so nice and such a friendly server who made our experience so much better.
