My husband and I got in to town late evening and were trying to find somewhere to have dinner that was open past 8pm. Stumbled upon Tomi Sushi and so glad I did! We arrived at Tomi right before 9pm after checking into our hotel. Restaurant was clean and has cute decor and art work. We stood at the front for a few minutes waiting for someone to greet/seat us. So many workers/sushi chefs saw us but no one acknowledged us or said a word to us. Finally after standing there and looking around, someone came up and asked if we'd been helped and was shocked to hear that no one helped us. The restaurant didn't seem too busy, as there was only 3 other tables they had guests at them. He seated us and got us menus and waters right away. We ordered 3 sushi rolls and ramen. The food came out fairly quick. We ordered ramen, the sunset roll, the fire roll and a salmon skin roll. Our favorite roll out of the 3 was the fire roll. The flavor of the protein and the sauce on it was refreshing and delicious. Our waiter was so friendly and great to talk to. Hands down the best sushi in Tri-Cities. The sushi is of excellent taste and quality 100% of the time, and my partner and I are frequent visitors of this place. Great gluten free options and they are super careful with cross contamination. Other sushi places in town have gotten my partner sick with gluten, but Tomi has never done this. Food comes out very quick, service is efficient, and staff is very friendly. Our favorites are the crunch roll, crab puffs, spider roll, GF Tomi Roll, and GF Tasty roll. Tomi is a great sushi and ramen place. Truthfully one of the best Tri-cities has to offer. The staff are friendly and check in with customers frequently. The ambiance is a little loud but not overly so. It's a family place, overall a nice and comfortable spot to go with friends or family. Now to the food, for apps we had the yam tempura and tokoyaki, both nicely fried on the outside and hot and soft in the inside. The yam was seasoned perfectly and the tokoyaki didn't have a slimey texture when bitten into. For sushi roll we have a simple yam tempura and shrimp tempura, they were fried well, well put together, and seasoned fine. I will say that some rolls were hard to pull apart and when it finally was it fell apart so difficult to eat with chopsticks but this was a minor thing. Overall the sushi rolls were great! The chicken teriyaki was flavorful and perfectly tender. The miso soup had a light flavor and no so overpowering. As for the ramen, that was one of the most delicious ramens I've had. Every bite was different and the portion they give is a nice big bowl, I couldn't finish it all. Overall for a first time coming me and my family were so satisfied, we will be coming here again. read more

I ordered the Nigiri Lunch with a salad (+$2) and it was so delicious! I also tasted their excellent sencha green tea (IYKYK) and the hot sake on special ($4.50). The lunch comes with miso soup.
