There was only a handfull of cheese thrown in the center of the bowel. Bland and tasteless.

2nd time ordering the Wisconsin mac n cheese, never again. Dry, barely any cheese on the noodles. I've had better from the box. I thought the first time the chef was just in a hurry, but no. This is what they serve. And then have the nerve to charge you $6.00 for it. Ridiculous.

Great food especially if you are looking for vegetarian. It has quality but good when you are in a hurry. I will be back soon.

The food was delicious. We ordered the salmon entree and the chicken parm. The Salmon was just okay but the chicken parm was one of the best I've had. The sauce made the meal. Each meal came with soup or salad, potatoes or pasta, dessert and coffee. The salad was yummy, particularly the house dressing. The bread was fresh and soft. We both made a mistake and asked for a baked potato instead of pasta. The potato was fine but both our meals paired better with pasta. The ice cream with coffee was a nice touch. The coffee was really good, like wedding coffee. lol. Each meal was approximately $25 ounces which was well worth it considering what came with it.

We got our own little room that was just big enough for our booth for 5. Complimentary Bread was delicious Special salad that came with the meals was good- the little pieces of Italian sausage & slices of egg made it better. I had 1/2 lasagna & 1/2 mostaccioli- lasagna was large & delicious. Mostaccioli was just cheap pasta with red sauce dumped on it. Wife had a nice steak w/ a side of fettuccine Alfredo instead of potato that looked very good. Son had just lasagna & his full large portion was enormous but he ate it all. Another son had a fish dinner w side of Alfredo. The last son just ordered the fettuccine Alfredo & added 2 meatballs that weirdly came in a red sauce, he didn't care just dumped it right on top of his Alfredo. A nice touch was-Everybody gets a scoops of ice cream after dinner, they had 5-6 choices. Everything was good-very good I'd recommend the lasagna or fettuccine Alfredo definitely the salad & bread. Negatives would be the only phone reservations & the price is high for just noodles & sauce. Bill was $160 for 5 dinners & 3 lemonades. So after tip around $200

We…read moredecided to try the restaurant downstairs, Velvet Buffalo, since we had already tried the restaurant Merrill and Houston's Steak Joint across the street (which we absolutely loved and I did a review on that restaurant as well). We ordered burrata appetizer, which I forgot to take a photo of since we were so hungry, while he ordered the farmer's trio for himself and I ordered the Short Rib for myself. Burrata and the table bread are actually fantastic. The entrees we received are very generous portions which makes it good value for the money, but at the same time, it was very heavy and a little too rich in flavor. Presentation was already great. Halfway through dinner, I was really debating between 3 or 4 stars. Because of all the positives, I was going to give it 4 stars even though the food didn't really impress me that much. Desert unfortunately tipped that scale to 3 stars. We ordered Tiramisu. It was the saddest looking tiramisu. We could tell the bottom was watery and soggy. The cake part was dried out. It does look like either it was too old or it was refrigeration issues. We took a bite regardless to be sure and we could tell by the taste that it was an older cake. As someone who's been in the restaurant industry for 30+ years, that actually could be a health violation. We did send it back and they said they'd bring a new freshly made one... which I declined. They should have done that first rather than offering that after the fact. However, the service is great overall. Just could use some work on certain things. And regardless of the restaurant, the hotel is actually very nice. If I was to be back in the area again, I'd stay at this hotel again but eat at the steak joint across the street at Ironworks hotel instead.

Our server, Zachary was top notch, attentive, very knowledgeable throughout and did not miss a beat. I made reservations online just in case, in their dining area. Which is upstairs and considered more intimate, or romantic. It was a nice area for a date night or a elcia gathering. The other option for reservations was downstairs in their cellar room. Which I believe is better for a party of 4+. They also have a bar with plenty of seating upstairs! We were given something complimentary of the chef that was good. It had a citrus taste, which some subtle hint of salt from the parmesan chip. The eggplant appetizer was ok, but tasted sour for my liking. I believe I got the Cavatappi? Which the noodles resemblance kind of threw me off, but it was good overall. Drinks were also very tasty. I had their own version of their espresso martini. I would go here just for drinks and a quick shareable meal. It was a much needed night for the 3 of us that have been friend's for over 2 decades. I will be planning to return with hubby.

The plate was huge. The one dish that is really healthy is the AHI Tuna appetizer. Actually, it is enough for a dinner and is reasonably priced. We tried the AHI Tuna appetizer apiece and added on order of the Bang Bang Shrimp and it was almost too much for two. The next time, we just ordered the AHI Tuna- one apiece. Not many places around here offer AHI Tuna - they should. A healthy alternative to a Prime Rib or Steak. Drinks are excellent. Half the bartenders in WI can't make a Manhattan right. This place makes them right - 2/3s bourbon, 1/3 sweet vermouth, NOT a "Dash" or a Drop of Vermouth - 1/3. A "dash" of bitters - yes. They also use the antique cherries in them. A quality bourbon (George Dickel 8 yr.old) Manhattan was $10 (very reasonable) Great ambiance. We get there before 5PM to avoid the crowds. Probably best to call to make reservations for four or more - especially if you're going after 5PM. Next time, I will try the Italian dishes. ALSO- desserts are top rate and $10.

Well, no wonder. The portion size ended up to be two dinners and a lunch for me. I'm stuck at home for a while and will be ordering again. It was so nice to get a call back from Joel who also told me about his brunch! YUM. Can't wait to get in there soon! Better and faster and hotter than any delivery I've had in the last year!
