This place is a hit or miss for me. I got the New Mexican street corn salad. It was good, but it was just missing something and I don't know what it was. I did find a random elbow pasta in it. My husband got the Cauliflower Rosa rigatoni he states it was good, but could've been more saucy My daughter got the kids Mac and cheese. Which their Mac and cheese is always dry and tasteless. I took my food to-go so I didn't find it until I got home. Not necessarily deal breaker (I still ate it lol but when I went to pull the hair out, it was relatively long which grossed me out), but I would appreciate not finding hair in my food as this makes me nervous about the care taken when prepping food. This especially makes me cautious due to my celiac disease. They made me a new one - and it was not hot, either. The cashier explained they put cold toppings (cheese) on it. I explained that cold toppings on HOT pasta is fine, but cold toppings on COLD pasta is not. I asked for my money back. I passed the location several times while out and about, making a mental note that I wanted to try this chain since I like noodle dishes. I reviewed their menu on their website prior to going since my mother is not an adventurous eater. When I told her that they had a dish with Udon Noodles, she was all about it. When we got there, she ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles and I ordered the Thai Green Curry with Braised Pork. It was around 6:30 pm, so it was mildly crowded. When we chose our table, it was dirty. They seemed to have enough people working that someone could have been attending to the tables, service area, and trash cans. Our noodle dishes arrived quickly. My mother loved her dish. My dish wasn't spicy enough and was sparse on the meat, but still good for a noodle dish. The portions were big and aesthetically appealing. This place is definitely better than fast food and about the same price. I would recommend Noodles & Company to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat, in the South Queen Street area. What a disappointing night. The staff here are completely clueless. My brother and I were trying to grab food here before our movie at the theatre nearby but there was a huge line. Maybe about 9 people waiting in line and 8 people waiting for orders. We had some time till movie started, so we waited. 20-30 min went by and we were still in line and only one order went out. The staff were working incredibly slow with not even the slightest sense of urgency, orders were all backed up. It was a mess. We decided to leave and come back after the movie was over which was close to closing time, so hopefully less people. We go back (only myself this time since my brother basically just ate popcorn for dinner). I order my food, and wait patiently in the dining area. 15-20 min go by and I start to wonder what they are doing since I'm basically the only customer there. There was one couple there that finished eating but that's about it. 35-40 min go by and the staff are just standing around laughing and talking to each other. Finally I said something to them, and instantly they all look confused and one looks over at the one table in the back where they sit the cooked dishes to be bagged and saw my food. So my food was sitting there for how long and nobody said anything? I was the only one there, what did they think I was doing standing there waiting ? There's no way you can be that oblivious. It is really good. It has a unique setup. You go up and select one of their soups, salads, or noodle bowls. You can mix and match and create meals for under $10 in most cases. I have been to different locations and it's like a more industrialized look of a Panera. The food is good, just not mind blowing. The Mac & cheese and the Spicy Peanut Sauté were very dry. Noodles have sauces for moisture, the sauce should make the noodles easier to eat. It was difficult to chew and swallow these dishes. I love the friendly staff that I see when I go in there. I also like a lot of the stuff on the menu, but i would love it if they had more of asian styles dishes.
