This cozy wine bar was a fun stop for a PSU weekend, while getting out of the college town. The gentleman that took our order was kind, engaging, and very helpful when we were making our wine selections. We ended up finding wonderful conversation with other patrons inside and thoroughly enjoyed happening upon this place. While they do not serve coffee, there were cheese plate selections that I saw others order. All looked so good!

My wife and I enjoyed a flight tasting and opted to go with the larger pours (slightly more expensive). Let me just say, they aren't messing around with those larger offerings! They present the glasses in a unique and lovely spiral serving rack, and each sample was closer to a typical glass of wine. There's more than 40 unique offerings on the menu, so we went with a divide and conquer approach. My wife opted for whites and assorted sweet wines, I went with dry reds. As we worked our way down, sharing each other's flights, we found all the wine to be very good. Honestly, we could've bought a bottle of most everything we tasted. We particularly enjoyed the Pinot Noir (see attached label and don't mind the corners, I took the photo as I was removing the label for my wine journal). But what's nice about Seven Mountain is that most anyone can probably find a wine that fits their preferences (or multiple options for that matter). The Petite Sirah, Cab and Merlot are also good choices for dry reds. Plenty of good white choices as well - both the Riesling and the Dry Riesling are excellent, as are the Chardonnay, Vidal and Pinot Grigio. Dry, crisp, flavorful - perfect for pairing with cheeses or fish dishes. If you opt for the larger samples, my one piece of advice would be to budget enough time to drink responsibly. The tasting room is conveniently located near other shops and restaurants, so feel free to make an afternoon of it and support some local businesses.

A well-enjoyed bottle of the Pinot Noir. We purchased 4 bottles when we visited, but easily could've walked away with a dozen or more.

Very admirable and apparently they do this often to support other causes, as well. We were happy to dine at a restaurant that cares about the local community. That's what got me (& my wife) in the door. Now, for the brass tacks: Atmosphere: Very nice looking place. Clean. Lively. Loved the front window open on a warm day and the outdoor seating as we walked in. Service: Hostess and Server were both very friendly, attentive and helpful. Both checked in on us, often. Which, for us, is super important not to feel forgotten. No problem here. Food: Uncorkd Burger (sub grilled chicken), Vegetable Risotto w/Salmon, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Homemade Vanilla Bread Pudding Cake & Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. My wife said, convincingly, that the Grilled Chicken Burger was good. (and that's saying something. (She's super picky about chicken sandwiches) My Vegetable Salmon Risotto was terrific. Fresh, bright, creamy, & flavorful. The salmon may have been cooked slightly over, but only slightly. Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were very good. Not made in-house. The desserts were delicious. Bread pudding with Caramel Drizzle! Oh my! Light & Delicious. Stick Toffee Pudding Cake with a decadent dark chocolate sauce. Delightful. We took those desserts to go and had them at home. Delicious. Terrific experience, tonight. I would go back in a heartbeat. Certainly would recommend. 4.2

The building is an old church from the 19th century. The restaurant is beautiful, but there's really not much of a waiting area. When we checked in, we had to wait a few minutes right by the door. The front patio was busy and servers were hustling during the dinner rush so it felt like we were in the way. At one point, my friend's elderly mother was coming up the stairs outside to come in and one of the server's let the door close in her face. I don't think the server realized she was standing behind her, but it was very off putting. Once we were seated, the service improved. I started with the Basil Gimlet. It was really good and refreshing. I also had a Pear Martini which I enjoyed. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Piccata. It was delicious! I enjoyed the lemon butter sauce and capers. When I placed the order, I asked to sub the spaghetti with angel hair pasta. Our server said they didn't offer angel hair which I found a little strange. He then told me he wasn't even sure what angel hair was, but said that he's had other customers request it. The whole exchange was odd and funny. I didn't get a chance to go back to Victor's on my last trip, but I would certainly be open to dining there again if I have the opportunity.

The bar area seats about 7, I think. But that made visiting with the regulars so much more intimate. The staff there were absolutely amazing!! So yummy!! The drinks were fabulous as well! I will absolutely be back. I'm really enjoying the adventures.

This is a lovely destination and a great romantic spot. I like to describe Note as "small but mighty." The space isn't huge, but is immensely charming and eclectically decorated (and outdoor seating as weather permits). The wine list isn't extensive but is well curated and has a nice range of styles. Similarly, tge French-influenced menu is small, interesting, but accessible to varied tastes. Note clearly has a large neighborhood customer base and "regulars" but the atmosphere is welcoming to all. The venue is well-suited for conversation and interaction. Service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Note is a wonderful, classy part of the Harrisburg restaurant scene. I highly recommend!

A cute little wine and gift shop, hosting Friday and Saturday outdoor concerts…read more We love this little wine shop, both for it's offerings, but especially for the weekend concerts and the outdoor umbrellaed tables. We drove up on a Saturday late afternoon in Aug 2025 and found parking across Main Street. There are other free lots nearby and sometimes a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. While waiting for the music, we staked out a table among some that people had reserved ahead of time in front of the wine shop, with other tables just outside the lot and more across the quiet side-street. From the wine shop, we got a nice little pinot noir to take home. They offered plastic glasses and a bucket full of ice, so we could have had that during the concert. They also have beers and ciders, gourmet snacks, and many clever and original accessories and crafts. The wine shop's owner encouraged up to walk to nearby Joe's Deli, and across to the Patapsco Distillery where the band set up under a small canopy, and we also got some food and drink from them for our table. And there's a sweet little ice cream shop across Main Street too! The band played light rock and folk and people were relaxed in conversations and enjoyment of the music. The gentle breeze kept us cool under sun-shielding umbrellas. This is nicely done weekly pair of concert, and the welcoming hostess and cooperative nearby shops make this a pleasant way to visit Sykesville on a Friday or Saturday evening, continuing through Nov 8th.

Colorful clothing hang up in display, palm size houses tucked away behind rocks, and a cozy outdoor seating area are the first things to great you as you approach the store. Once inside, you'll find yourself in a claustrophobic den, filled with locally made goods such as clothing, foodstuffs, and art as well as wall to wall wines. Choices are plenty despite the small size of the store and at reasonable prices. For those living nearby, be sure to check out Vine on Main's wine club to get more wine at better values. The real highlight of Vine on Main is the owner, who is the sweetest woman you'll meet. She's highly knowledgeable about all the products in the shop, even the non-alcoholic ones and is more than happy to share information about them. Not only does she have excellent wine and booze recommendation, but she'll even offer some free samples if you ask her nicely. Plan on shopping around the area? She'll take your order, bag it, and leave it to the side so that you can pick it up when you're all done instead of lugging around heavy bottles. If you're in the area looking to buy some good wine or just want to spend some time with a fun and interesting woman, then check out the Vine on Main.
