Unfortunately, I was not impressed with this place. The food was just okay. My margarita was not good, and the prices were high for the quality of food. Our server was nice and prompt. There was plenty of parking and there is a patio with a bar and plenty of tables.

New French Dip and Cole slaw and poutine fries

Cole slaw should have been throw away days ago. Sandwich was lacking any flavor. Fries were brown like they were soaked in gravy for days. Let the picture speak for it self.

Perfect patty melt paired with onion rings. Mmm!

I had a wonderful lunchtime experience here on Sunday afternoon. The beer selection was very nice, but the thing that caught my eye was mimosa flights. Flavored mimosas are such a nice addition to a menu and five at 5 ounces each is a decent sampling. I ended up getting a Troeg's Nugget Nectar on draft b/c that's my favorite and it just came back out for the season. My friend ordered a beer flight which offered 4 beer samples for $11. I ordered a Patty melt and opted for the onion rings as a side---which was not an upcharge! The patty melt was amazing. It was cooked medium-rare as I requested, the onions were nicely cooked, and the rye bread was fresh and had really nice flavor. The onion rings were a little thinner and crunchier than I'm used to, but they were still good. Our server was very friendly and we enjoyed the laid-back ambiance.

Food was great. Beers on tap were delicious, we tried several. We ate at the bar and the server was a pleasure. Clean, inviting atmosphere.

We got the chicken corn soup and hunter stew soup and a turnover. The food is amazing. The soups were sooooo good. The sandwiches look amazing and they even have this awesome fresh cannoli setup! I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. The bad - I am deaf and depend on my hubby to help me in unfamiliar surroundings. I was standing by the food display and said to him out loud "Where do I stand to get service?" as I was reading his lips across the room. The next thing I know a lady behind the counter is chastising me very loudly about how she is with a customer and "WHEN SOMEONE CAN GET TO YOU THEY WILL." It was embarrassing for me, to say the least. I was asking my husband a question and here she is literally chastising me in front of everyone. My husband steps in to say "She's deaf and was asking me" and that's when I went and hid in the last table in the back. I was hoping that I found a place I could go during the week on my own when my husband travels for work. But I doubt I would go there alone after this.

The sample food was incredible and the employees there were wonderful to talk to. Fast forward to the wedding on May 22nd at Drumore Mill. The staff was friendly and did a great job getting food out to everyone, but the food was abysmal. It was the worst I've ever encountered at an event. The beef was supposed to be smoked brisket. It was a not even close. Fatty, barely warm and flavorless. It felt like something you'd get in a budget frozen dinner. The chicken? Over-cooked and the coating, whatever it was so thick and salty, it was inedible. The vegetables were actually okay and the mashed potatoes were meh but at least we could eat them without worrying about being bombarded with salt. In fact, they could have used some seasoning. What was presented to the bride and groom on their tasting plate was absolutely not what The Festive Board delivered on the wedding day. This company should refund them their money. Be warned, what you see when they're trying to get a contract is not what you get on the day of your wedding.

The prices were also higher than other restaurants. And it tasted like it had a lot of MSG in the dishes. They forcibly charged a 20% service fee without any prior notice, and then shamelessly claimed that three people constituted a "large group." I've attached our receipt. This is the cost for two adults and one child! We paid in cash, and the menu even stated that paying with a credit card would incur an additional 3% fee! Absolutely a rip-off! They were warm and welcoming, acknowledging my friend who they know from her previous experiences. My friend got a bowl of pho, Il got the beef stew and two spring rolls. They were served our drinks immediately, and our food came out in under five minutes. The chef came out and explained how to add the sauces and extras, (bamboo shoots, basil, jalapeños) for the best taste. I thought that was a nice touch for those who weren't familiar with eating pho or various Vietnamese dishes. Food was absolutely delicious. Portion size was incredible. Would definitely come back, price for the amount of food you get was on point. Located in a small strip mall in Queensgate shopping center, there is plenty of parking.

While waiting in front of the window, we saw the guy that takes your money tearing apart the long baguettes into portions without using gloves. When he brought the bag to the window, I asked why he wasn't wearing gloves to handle the baguettes, and he replied that he didn't really have to! After an awkward pause, he told me that if I wished, he'd give me new baguettes and wear gloves when tearing them, an offer I accepted. The you-pick-two salads did not totally fill up the plastic containers, and my Fronteta Chicken sandwich was slattered with a huge amount of the chipolte aioli, which I has to try to scrape off. I had to discard the tomatoes that were soaked with the aioli. The also did not have the focaccia, and I had to choose another bread for the sandwich. All in all, between the lack of using gloves, the small portions and high cost, as well as the gross 1/2 sandwich soaked in too much chipolte aioli, I'll pass on this restaurant.

The French onion soup did not have cheese. One salad was missing the protein for which we paid extra. This first time, I thought it was a simple mistake. Today we spent $80 dollars on soups and salads. We called the store and went back in to have the order corrected. They offered the missing ingredients rather remaking the items. So the soups got cold during our second trip. He did not apologize for the errors until we told the manager how disappointed we were. The manager's reaction was dismissive and unconcerned. I doubt that we will be back. I should have consulted the review for this store, this seems like a common issue that does not get addressed.
