This place is nothing special. We sat at the bar but no one really wanted to wait on anyone. They rather talk to each other then wait on you. They weren't even that busy for a Friday night. We ordered a couple drinks that weren't bad. We decided to try their bang bang shrimp appetizer for ordering dinner. We were both very disappointed. Stopped at Stone Grill & Tap House on our way to Baltimore and had a solid, overall decent experience. The location is in a business district attached to other shops, and when we visited it was pretty quiet just a handful of other people inside. The space itself is much larger than it looks from the outside. We sat at the bar, which was comfortable and easy. We ordered drinks, shared a crab pretzel, and each had a Caesar salad. My margarita was very tequila-forward not subtle, but honestly fine if you like tequila (I do). The crab pretzel was good, though the crab dip could've used more Old Bay to really bring it home. That said, the Caesar salad was the standout absolutely delicious and easily the best thing we ordered. Pricing felt fair. My bill was $55.01 for two side Caesar salads, a shared crab pretzel, and two drinks. For two people, that's pretty average and reasonable for the area. We were coming weekly up until about two months ago. We were hopeful for the potential with the new owner, Sean. The last visit we sat for 25 minutes and no one came to our table for a drink order or to even acknowledge us. The wait staff were to busy talking to each other. Finally, my husband had enough, saw Christian at the host station cutting out what looked like bingo cards and told him we were leaving and he needed to check on the staff as we were not even approached at all. Christian said, "Ok. Sorry about that." We left. We went elsewhere after this discouragement until tonight we decided to give it one last shot. We were seated, acknowledged with a drink order. 10-15 minutes went by, no drinks. No sign of Amos, our waiter. I feel it is important to say that we are very patient people and the restaurant was not busy at all. No one was in the dining room. He finally brought our drinks and said there was an issue he had to deal with. We asked him if everything was OK and he said yes. He took our food order, and the food came out appropriately and tasted delicious. Then we waited and waited, and waited for another beer. He came back again and asked us if we wanted boxes. We waited and waited. By this time we were frustrated. We saw him bringing drinks to another table and walking toward us, stopping to ask if we needed anything. We said, "Did you forget about us?" He replied, "No. I was letting you eat a little more." my husband was irritated and said, "Boxes and the check too! This is ridiculous." The bar tender called over to us to ask politely if we wanted a bag for our boxes and told us to have a good evening. We are truly disappointed. The food and drinks are good, but the service continues to be less than par and this is big for us. We unfortunately will not be back. Sad, because this started off being such a great place when the new owner took over, but it is quickly failing at service. read more

The chicken dinner was amazing- I don't like dry chicken but this was totally juicy and taste delicious. Mash potatoes and the grilled broccoli top notch. Service was excellent and it's Memorial Day weekend and the wife was just coming here for dinner. Great all around.... Food service and atmosphere was cool. Low key and chill. My wife and I visited the Stone Grille and Taphouse today. My wife ordered a crab cake, crab soup with mashed potatoes, and asparagus. I ordered the Caesar salad and cream of crab soup. The soups were delicious. However, the crab cake was not done enough, and the asparagus looked pretty sad. I believe it was frozen asparagus because they were very small and skinny. The crab cake was cold and definitely not a Maryland crab cake. read more

Food and service under new owners has gone downhill. veggie pizza was awful. Few veggies & sun dried tomatoes. 3 of us got the veggie pizza and NONE of us enjoyed it. We got the green apple pecan salad. It was silly. 3 extremely thin slices of apple. A few bits of chopped pecans. Horrible overpowering pesto dressing. And white rubs of romaine lettuce. No greens. $18! All around food was lousy. Service was VERY slow despite few customers. Will not return. MOD pizza has FANTASTIC salads for less $. Go to MOD. read more

Previous visits the food has been OK, beer selection always good. Can't speak on the restaurant side renovation, as we went into the smaller side bar. That's a nice space. Slow service with two bartenders, one working the floor and one on the bar, but still it was slow even after some of the dinner rush cleared. Two meals- one salad where the greens had seen better days, and my partner did not even come close to finishing the plate due to the distaste. I got a burger, which was just sysco style and meh, small side of fries. This however was the main problem- about 4 hours later I had a violent gastrointestinal attack that lasted through the night. Giving 2 Stars is being generous. French Onion soup was horrible. Very bland and a tiny piece of bread. We requested extra crispy wings, and the inside was pink, and were rubbery on the outside. The steak and seared tuna wrap was "ok". The pulled pork was dry and flavorless and the burger was dry. Can't say I will be back. read more

I had a wonderful lunchtime experience here on Sunday afternoon. The beer selection was very nice, but the thing that caught my eye was mimosa flights. Flavored mimosas are such a nice addition to a menu and five at 5 ounces each is a decent sampling. I ended up getting a Troeg's Nugget Nectar on draft b/c that's my favorite and it just came back out for the season. My friend ordered a beer flight which offered 4 beer samples for $11. I ordered a Patty melt and opted for the onion rings as a side---which was not an upcharge! The patty melt was amazing. It was cooked medium-rare as I requested, the onions were nicely cooked, and the rye bread was fresh and had really nice flavor. The onion rings were a little thinner and crunchier than I'm used to, but they were still good. Our server was very friendly and we enjoyed the laid-back ambiance. read more

We were so excited to go back since Copper Crust bought this restaurant. We were disappointed. The menu had not changed much. The Maryland Crab Soup was WAY too peppery, and our entrees were just so-so at best. Service was not good. Best part about the meal was my Cosmo, which was one of the best drinks I've ever had. Hoping Copper Crust gets a better grip on making changes to improve the food and service. read more

Have been here multiple times, always good food and great portions. Good bit of drinks to choose from, pricey for drinks. Good service and always decently busy. Food is expensive here but everything is made with care and fresh ingredients. They have a nice outdoor section too. Great options to choose from all around, just pricey. read more

Attention New Owners! Please read these reviews- I wish I had before going. Our experience was much the same as many others. Overly long 40 minute wait for food- seared ahi tuna, tacos, a pizza, fries and a plain Caesar salad... not too time consuming, much of which was cold. Unapologetic staff, had to ask to see a manger and was offered a brownie for the trouble. Two tables next to us were seated after us, served, and had to-go boxes before WE approached the staff about the length of our wait. Waitress replied with, "someone said you needed me?"....Sat in eyesight of the kitchen watching 5 or so people hovering around the door, at any one time, chatting and hanging out. Probably will not be back. Very expensive for the quality of food and service. Sadly I thought new ownership would help, but unless things change soon, I don't see this group surviving. read more

This was our first visit today with the business being under new management. We always enjoyed our meals here, and recommended people try their food. Have been coming here for 9 years. Unfortunately, today's meal was not something I'd recommend to anyone. The fettuccine alfredo was dry and flavorless. The other two dishes (a sandwich and fish and chips) came out with cold fries. The service was very slow. If the food was excellent, as it used to be, the $72 bill (water and two ice teas) would have been easier to swallow. read more

This place was always a treat when driving south from Harrisburg. Perhaps it was wrong to stop in at 7:30 on a Sunday night? Seeing a suspiciously empty parking lot, I was curious why that was and ordered something pretty basic. When my French dip arrived, I got what seemed like a bunch of waaay overcooked steaks-umms with some weakly reheated onion rings that got cold two minutes after they arrived at the table. Very uncharacteristic of me, I only ate almost half of the sandwich. Couldn't finish the crunchy but cold onion rings. There was also a frenchy burger served with *very* tired fries. Would it be too much to fry up something fresh? Open in its current incarnation only a month, will practice make perfect? read more

We absolutely loved the fish and chips. My fried chicken was good and I was pleased that they were able to substitute the brussels sprouts for broccoli for me. The mac & cheese was more milk than cheese. I got the apple tart with a puff pastry that was totally undercooked. The pastry was gooey. I just skimmed it off and ate what I could of the apples. Average atmosphere wouldn't recommend. Food was mediocre French fries soggy Onion rings were bland if it didn't come with a sauce they would have been intolerable. Waitress was snarky and frankly condescending she made a point in telling us where to read signs that shouldn't have needed posted Out of date menus Sincerely overpriced for what was purchased. Love the BangBang shrimp taco. A bit spicy and lots of blended flavor. The chicken on the Buffalo Mac and cheese was cold. Would have been better if it was blended in with the Mac and cheese. The waitress was wonderful. The food was mediocre. The bar service stunk. The drink my daughter ordered was not to her taste so we swapped. It was way too sweet so I asked for a replacement of the drink I ordered. The drink they brought was not my original drink order and there most definitely was something slimy and stringy in it with the added carbonation. The ambiance could be so much better if it wasn't decorated like a diner. They could do so much more with that space. read more

Have I really never reviewed this spot before? My husband and I dine here probably once a month or so because we love their covered patio. It was a great option during lockdown, when outdoor dining was the only option. Their space is huge, covered, and also has the potential to close the garage style doors and close it off. On this most recent outing, I had their beer cheese soup. I was hoping it would be a little stonger in cheese flavor. It wasn't, but it was tasty and had a lot of bacon in it, which I liked. My husband had their Maryland Crab soup and liked it. We both had the Crab Cake entree. It was a decent crab cake, without too much filler, flavorful without being overwhelming. The sweetness of the crab still came through. I had mine with steamed broccoli that was kind of boring... like it wasn't really steamed enough and hadn't even really been salted. I would have liked butter or something, anything, on it. My second side was grilled asparagus. (I was trying to avoid a lot of carbs.) They were great- cooked thoroughly, with flavor, but I think there were only 5 stalks. It didn't seem like enough, when they were the skinny ones. Shrug. I enjoyed them anyway. We shared a piece of peanut butter pie for dessert. I don't believe it is made onsite. It was tasty and seemed like a packaged, Sweet Street dessert. Let me start off by saying, our server was amazing, this young man had all the odds against him and almost every meal had some kind of an issue, however he was still did a great job. We had a party of 8, lets start with my fiancé, "Chicken" salad... Oh my goodness, it was like canned chicken that sat out for hours. The chicken fell apart when you touched it and was so dry it became inedible and the salad seemed so basic, it was mostly lettuce. They replaced the chicken which resolved the main issue. :-) Now my salad, had very little of the "house" dressing so I asked for more, and it took about a half an hour for them to "make a fresh batch" just to find out they messed up the recipe and they didn't want to serve it to me. No biggie, I just mixed my dressing with another. After finishing half my salad, my niece and I were both blessed with a 4 inch long jet black hair in our food. The carbonation of the sodas was an easy resolve and we were mildly disappointed they were out of Budlite however, it's Sunday so I'm sure they had a busy weekend or something. We had a great time, we are only writing this review because we know they can do better and we fear the place is heading down hill. I hope this review helps the establishment because, we've been here before and it was amazing!!! It would be a shame to lose such an awesome restaurant. This is just constructive criticism. Enjoyed the Shrimp Alfredo and a Troegs Perpetual IPA. They have nice craft beer selection. Sadly, the Pastrami Reuben is no longer on the menu. My server (Mitch) was prompt and friendly. My order came out quickly and was delicious. No negatives to post like some have had recently. I'll go back again for another good meal. read more

Had dinner here on 1/15/21. Must say the food was mediocre. I had the New York strip ordered medium rare. Steak had very little taste at all. Had to drown it in A1 to be able to get it down. My brother had a burger. It was prepared about medium rare and looked kind of raw. He said it wasn't very good at all. Our wives had a pasta dish and the other had ribs that they said were pretty decent. I can only speak for my steak which was as best as I can describe as just any other piece of meat. If the saloon down the road is open just go there. Much more highly recommended. Oh and be prepared to be accosted by the mask police, never asked me about my medical condition that makes it impossible to wear a mask, simply stated, mask up or you need to leave.
