Made to order ramen in the middle of the mall?! Yes, please! We've been to the Kaimuki location numerous times but we had no idea they had a location in the middle of the Windward Mall food court. This is one of my husband's favorite ramen shops on Oahu so of course he had to get it! The menu was pretty extensive for a little kiosk but my husband got his tried and true Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen. It came with a soft boiled egg, tons of garlic, a thick piece of pork, green onions, and nori. Service was quick and your ramen comes on a tray. There was tons of seating right in front. There was also a sign stating they do offer takeout as well. But, I think it's best to eat there! Overall, such a convenient and quick quality meal when you need a break from shopping. read more

I remember my first noods, and because the foods so good, I know I won't forget how good it is. If you didn't know, the first noods location is actually in Kaimuki, which is the first time I tried their ramen. So of course, I was in the area and I am a biiiig ramen lover, I had to try this location. I've tried an abundant of ramen from Noods, but my go-to is their vegan ramens because they have so many options and I could use a little vegan meal in my life every now and then (because of my acne). The ambiance may not be a restaurant, but it's ramen, you can't be asking for much, just good food and good place to enjoy. Since this location is in a food court, it's gotta have fast service, which it did. Service is also a lot more simple than the restaurant because over here you order in one area and then you have to pick it up at the other end when it's ready. The food court provides ample seating, but I suggest grabbing a seat first before ordering so that you get a table near the ramen bar and you don't have to walk far with a large bowl of ramen across a busy food court. Overall, the ramen(s) I've eaten here have lived up to the standard I expect from Noods, which is great. This means you don't have to go all the way to Kaimuki to get some good, quality ramen. read more

Noods always hit the spot when I'm craving ramen! My most recent visit was during lunch (around 12:30pm) on a Friday. It was not busy so we got seated right away and our food was brought to us fairly quickly. They currently have lunch deals (dine-in only) where bowls of ramen are a reduced price! This review is for the fried rice only. And I don't know if the other locations have the same recipe but this was the worst garlic fried rice I have ever had at a Ramen spot. As soon as I saw it I knew it would be tasteless. It looked like brown rice that was sautéed in oil and black sesame seeds sprinkled on top. I took one scoop and that was enough. We were planning to have lunch here after walking around Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden with a friend, but she couldn't make the lunch part, so it was just me and my husband. I got the vegan truffle shoyu ramen (I'm vegetarian with an egg allergy) and my omnivore husband chose the vegan yuzu shoyu ramen, and they were both delicious! They do a really good broth (both of the ones we got), and the bowl is a good size! They also use shiitake mushrooms, which I love (but my husband is not as crazy about), instead of regular button or cremini mushrooms. The location itself is inside of a mall food court (which we figured would be advantageous if our friend had come, since parking is fairly plentiful and we could stroll around the mall a bit after if we wanted). Seating was actually a bit difficult to find, probably because we were there on a weekend around lunch time, and food courts can be pretty noisy places compared to standalone restaurants, but it seems like a pretty good setup and the service was timely when we were there. Excellent customer service! The cashier was super nice and patient with my daughter and I as we ordered our food. My go to ramen is typically shoyu ramen so I ordered that, along with fried gyoza, garlic fried rice and a black garlic miso ramen. However, after glancing at the menu, my daughter noticed that they had a black garlic tonkatsu ramen and asked if she could get that instead. It sounded absolutely delicious so I asked if I could change my ramen to that also. The cashier was really nice and understanding, and said it was no problem. Our food was ready a couple of minutes later and it came out nice and hot. The ramen had a really nice garlic flavor which was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The tan tan ramen broth is flavorful for ramen at a food court. It was very tasty, the egg was delicious. Only downside that slipped my mind when reading the description of it on the menu is that it came with ground pork instead of the typical charsiu meat. Tonkotsu ramen was tasty, broth is flavorful and came with charsiu. The garlic chilli oil gyoza was alright, the gyoza was cold and the garlic was hard not crispy. This Noods Ramen Bar at Windward Mall in the food court is just as good as the brick and mortar location on Waialae. They do not give out stamp cards at this location though. If you already have one from the Waialae location they will stamp it. We ordered a bowl of Black Garlic Miso Ramen $14 (miso broth, green onions, chashu, aji tamago, menma, garlic chips, nori, sesame, black garlic oil), Spicy Thai Curry Ramen $15 (spicy yellow coconut curry broth, green onion, chashu, aji tamago, menma, cilantro, nori, sesame chili strands) and Ginger Scallion Gyoza $7 (5 pcs pan fried gyoza in ginger scallion sauce). All three items were excellent. The broths were savory and tasty. The noodles were cooked just right and the toppings were meshed well together. My favorite ramen topping is the ajitama and this one was perfect. I haven't seen the Ginger Scallion Gyoza offered at too many other places. I had to try it and it didn't disappoint. Was feeling under the weather and wanted something warm. I do not like ramen I didn't even eat it when I went to Japan and hardly eat saimin, unless I'm sick. Lunch in Kāne'ohe, O'ahu, Hawaii... A long time ago, there were four of us "non-traditional students", lined up alphabetically (by last name) at the University of Hawai'i's School of Nursing. That's how we became friends - no joke - and remained friends to this day. One of us kept in touch with everyone and brought us back together after maybe 19 years. We agreed to meet at the Food Court of Windward Mall because one gal wanted Korean food, one wanted vegan, and I wanted to try Noods Ramen Bar. I had been to the Kaimuki location of Noods where the parking is challenging. The ramen was good, but the parking situation (plus the driving distance) was almost traumatizing for me. Haha! This Kāne'ohe location is so easy! No reservations needed! The free shared parking at the mall is plentiful! The spacious Food Court seating is adjustable - if you have a large party, just move the chairs around! The air conditioning and muted lighting is wonderful! We didn't feel rushed to leave! I ordered the Black Garlic Miso Ramen and my classmate ordered the vegan version. She had choy sum, mushrooms, and corn instead of the Cha siu (pork) that I had. We both liked the thin, chewy noodles and delicious broth. The garlic chips and garlic broth made me feel healthier... Because I know that garlic has many health benefits. While I waited for my order, I walked over to Starbucks and brought my drink back. The worker at Noods was really friendly and asked about my refreshing-looking beverage! LOL! She was very efficient and observant! This is a self-service operation. We took our trays to our table and returned our used dishes to this vendor when we were done. Everything is labeled: trays in one stack; garbage goes in the trash can; and spoons and bowls get placed in the bin. It was such a great experience! I'm looking forward to another visit! read more

I had been to their location in Kaimuki during Covid and got their black garlic tonkotsu ramen to go, and I was not impressed at all. I thought it was due to the fact that I had gotten my ramen to go, and figured it'd probably be much better if eaten at their restaurant. Fast forward to a couple years later, I happened to be in Kaneohe and saw that they have a new location inside the Windward mall. I thought this was the perfect time to try their ramen again. They're located inside the food court, smack dab in the center. You can't miss their big sign! Basically you order with the cashier and they call your name when it's ready. Mine only took 5 minutes! I got the Black Garlic Miso for $13, which came with miso broth, green onion, chashu, aj tamago, menma, garlic chips, nori sesame & black garlic oil. I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was! The first thing I noticed was how thin the broth looked. I thought maybe they gave me the black garlic tonkotsu instead of the black garlic miso. One sip of the broth made me think that I was correct. The noods itself were nice and chewy but the overall ramen bowl was just average tasting at best. There was certainly a lot of garlic chips so don't plan on kissing anyone soon after. I probably wouldn't return in the future since there are better ramen places on Oahu IMO. read more

I dropped off my car in Kaneohe for transmission repair early this morning, so I walked to Windward Mall to kill time after having breakfast at Zippy's. I started getting hungry around 11:30 and saw a "new" Ramen place in the food court called Noods. They were in the same spot as the former Manichi Ramen that closed during Covid, so when I was ordering, I had to ask if they were affiliated and was told, "No." They're a locally owned company while the former was Japanese owned. This is Noods second location; the first one located in Kaimuki. Being a Ramen shop, the menu is very similar with traditional Miso, Shoyu, Tonkotsu (pork bone broth), black garlic flavor, and gyoza offerings but they also have Miso pesto flavor, Yu,u shio flavor, fried rice in a variety of flavors, edamame, and a lemon ricotta with spicy garlic naan bread. Wow, what a variety! I ordered the black garlic ramen, which was fairly good. The flavor of the broth was not as "deep" or "porky" as the former place but still had a good miso flavor. They use a thinner noodle too, but it does still have a nice chew to it. They do not sell any juice or soda, only bottled water. This location has been open for about two months so it must have opened after the last time I was here in October with family. The counter service is very friendly and I love Ramen and to support local businesses, so I will most likely come back to try their other flavors and items. read more

My wife and I were so happy to see that Noods opened up in the mall. Why, you ask? The crazy assortment of vegetarian and vegan options. Of course, the real reason is because this place makes kick ass ramen. They are located in the food court near Dairy Queen. Menus are available as QR codes or printed. My wife and I got the crispy garlic miso vegan ramen and the shoyu vegan ramen. A side of tofu and potstickers. Note: they do not have the bao or the tempura. All were beautifully presented, but when that broth hit, oooo, it was all about the flavor and texture. Potstickers were great as the tofu. The latter was so sliky smooth it could almost be soft serve. Both were also well seasoned and well presented. Bonus points because it was a to-go order and still looked great.
