I'm updating my review based on the last so many visits! Their food has been very inconsistent! Their excuses are they don't have their chef anymore. The new Chef can't cook like the old chef, they went back to Thailand. Or the day we would dine in or pick up their good chef is not there?? We have complained on occasion because the food was not the same and we work hard for our money! There were a few times we went where it was so good it was amazing, but when it's not and your paying the same money it's very disappointing. Tonight we ordered extra noodle in two of our dishes and I made it very clear that we wanted extra sauce. Not only was our dishes bland but they did not give us the peanuts for the pad thai. When I called to tell them about our pickup order, she says don't you have peanuts at home. I said they are in shells we would have to crack them and then crush them. So she said do it?? I didn't just pay $104 for 4 dishes to have to crack peanut shells and crush them to put it on a dish that it should have came with. If they don't want to deal with asking for extra noodles, then they should not take it in the order. Very rude... then she said I have to come in person to get the cash for the Pad Thai dish, we paid by credit card and they are not willing to credit us just for the one dish. They said they don't care about our business, they have plenty of customers, they've been there a long time! That's not how you treat a customer!! First time here. It's tucked in the back corner of the parking lot between Shakey's and Sharky's. The inside is clean and has classic Thai decor. Service was prompt and friendly and the Thai tea was huge and not crazy sweet. We shared the drunken noodles with chicken and Thai beef salad I think. The noodles hit the spot but the beef in the salad wasn't that great to me. I won't comment on the price because it isn't fair to hate on a restaurant trying to make it in this economy.. everything in our world is expensive. I guess some could say I'm a little spoiled. Being exposed to some so much of it in the Los Angeles area has caused me to be a little critical at times. Thai food has a certain flavor that I feel needs to be preserved. Things like super hot chilies and fish sauce are usually absent from the less authentic places. However, I have to say this one definitely fit the bill and gets an easy seven for presentation flavor and value. They have good budget meals for lunch so definitely make sure you catch that. It will allow you to try different dishes while being friendly on the wallet. Unfortunately, I didn't get names this time, but I have to say that the waiter and staff were kind, came to check on us to see if we needed anything and once our order was placed, there was a steady stream of items being brought to the table. If you're feeling adventures, give their Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee a try. I have never seen such a large cup be used for these drink drinks and I definitely appreciated the generous portions. Not only for the drinks, but the food as well. I like the flexibility of the floor plan to be able to make adjustments on the fly to accommodate groups. Disappointing overall. Date with the wife ended in regret. Lunch specials barely resembled Thai Food and seemed more like mass-produced Southeast Asian prison slop which unfortunately all items (except the egg rolls) had an odor warning both of us to "eat at our own risk." Egg rolls and Orange Chicken were closest to "tolerable" but wouldn't bring us back. I kept a positive attitude through the experience and we communicated our concerns. A kind lady offered the truth about the friend rice being overcooked and she was happy to replace that item at no cost, but by then the bad taste in our mouths destroyed any desire for more. They still charged us which is fine since their prices are fair. We packed up the remaining pile hoping our English Mastiff wouldn't have such picky standards. This place is very family-friendly! They have a great lunch special for $13.99 that is honestly such a good deal. It comes with soup, an egg roll, chow mein, and orange chicken, and everything tasted really good. I was also very impressed with the service. Our waiter was incredibly fast and attentive--she kept checking on us the whole time to make sure everything was good. What surprised me the most was that she was doing all of this while wearing heels! That takes skill and dedication. I actually love this place and the people that work there. I also recommend it over any Thai place around! However I don't like my time wasted. Their own website, Apple Maps, and Yelp all say the same operating hours. So don't close early unless you're gonna change the hours online. I don't appreciate driving across town getting to the restaurant with 45 min left and you say "sorry we're closed" No you're not actually. Read your own website. How about some gas money for me now? Don't listen to the haters. They're either talking about the location on Ave S or are rude themselves. This place is amazing and their service depends on how you treat the staff. Vibes are reciprocated, as they should be. I've been going here for 15 years and never once have had an issue with service nor food, but I also don't treat people poorly as I've seen while in the restaurant. We ordered the following: - 1 satay appetizer (chicken) = $13.99 - 1 fried noodles with crab = $15.99 - 1 seafood with chili curry = $19.99 (comes with shrimp, squid, fish, mussel in hot curry, garlic and ginger sauce) - 1 large rice = $4 TOTAL = $53.97 TAX = $5.53 OVERALL TOTAL = $59.50 Soooo good especially the seafood curry and chicken satay! Make sure to order rice so that you can balance off your entree dish sauces with the rice. The lady (who I presumably believe is the owner of the restaurant) was very nice and her customer service skills was excellent. She spoke to us for a bit and asked where I came from and if this was my first time here. She also asked if I was Chinese (and yes, I am) and she said she is also Chinese and to come back next time. The food was great. We had their house special roast pork, kang curry, crab fried rice, large steamed rice, and mango sticky rice for dessert. There was 4 of us and the bill was under $60 before the tip, which is pretty good. Service was timely until we ordered dessert. Someone tried to give us our bill but when we told him we hadn't received our mango sticky rice yet, he removed the bill from the table. We still waited another ten minutes for that dish. Came to Nopgow today for some dinner for the family to tell you the truth I was going to Popeyes, but I really didn't want to deal with Popeyes BS. If you know then you know. So I picked like 6 items I ordered some chow mein with veggies everyone liked it I thought it tasted a lil burnt tasting to me but they said I was wrong. The next noodle dish which I make and love one of my favorite Thai dishes of all time Drunken noodles man let me tell you I'm so happy that they make a decent one very very good would order again again. The Thai style orange chicken was different not all gloppy with sauce very good enjoyed it a lot didn't get to taste the curry the wife wasn't letting that go so I'm gonna assume it's an big for that dish. The potstickers which I'm a sucker for I get them everywhere and in my opinion can't be messed up unless they are undercooked I gave a . The chicken satay was not ok for me but everyone liked it to me it didn't have any flavor and not an pinch of salt thank God that they gave you some peanut sauce on the side, which was some of the best peanut sauce I've ever tasted. I don't know if it's bottled or they make it, but it was very good. It made the chicken satay have a lot of flavor. In the end, I would come back to this restaurant. I truly enjoyed the food that came from there. I'm intrigued to taste other items on their menu. The restaurant is not too big. It might hold 40 people. It's very small on the inside, the staff were very nice. I came here on Friday. It only took 25 minutes for them to make my food to go and it was between five and 630 on a Friday night. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time today. Super friendly waitress but she didn't explain how their ordering is done. You have to tell them what level of spicy you want from 1-10. I didn't find this out until my lunch came out and it was no spice. She brought me a container of chili oil and that took care of the spiciness. The lunch came with chop suey soup, an egg roll, chow mein, and fried rice. The soup was full of vegetables but very bland. The egg roll was nice and crispy. the rice was mushy and no fry on it. The main courses we ordered were the Chicken cashew nut and dried chili and Shrimp pepper garlic. Tried Nopgow Thai Restaurant 3 times. It's clearly a small family owned restaurant. I love supporting our local spots, however, the food doesn't do it for me here. The Tom Yum Soup is served with canned mushrooms and too sour. Most of their dishes seem to be missing quality ingredients and have more substitutions. Also, the curry dishes are usually served and brought together with a small side of plain white rice, however they charged extra and for the peanut sauce too without letting me know the cost in advance. I asked for a bit of peanut sauce because the Phat Thai noodles lacked flavor. It seems they are trying, but even the service wasn't great, because I felt unnoticed and had to ask for the basics, like napkins or more drinks, and it took more time usual to get . First time trying this spot that my boyfriend and his family has been going to for over 30 years, not your typical Thai food restaurant, it felt like very authentic home cooking, the ambiance inside felt very old school like you're traveling back in time, I'm sure it gives a very nostalgic feel. My favorite that stood out was the Garlic Steak with the Garlic vinegar sauce & the Mixed Seafood with Ginger. You can't go wrong with the Rad Na and the Thai fried rice! Definitely go off the menu from your typical Thai items because this is the place to do it! This restaurant has been here for more than 30 years, and it's a Palmdale staple at this point. love the one on avenue S. I moved so I started coming to the one on 10th st. Everytime I go the lady in heels has attitude. Seems bothered when I ask for extra napkins or chilli. This particular day. I found a hair in the empty bowls she passed out so I politely told her if we can get clean ones. She looked bothered. Mind you I said it quietly. After that I asked for chili sauce. And she seemed very bugged by me. The man usually is smiley and friendly passes it out with no hesitation. After I asked her for a straw and chile she didn't come back. The food is good but the SERVICE (or lack thereof) is TERRIBLE!! They charge 15% gratuity on parties of 4 or more! They probably started this because people weren't tipping due to bad service, but that's not the solution. Fix the bad service!! Have tried this place for take out a few times over the last couple years usually just out of default not wanting the typical fast food dribble you would find in such a town. Most recent experience was the "knock-out" punch for us. Placed take-out order for coconut soup and pad-see-ew. After getting home found the soup to be horribly watery with a few pieces of chicken floating in bottom of container and not much else in it. The noodle dish was just as disappointing, the entire order was a dried, flavorless klump of noodles with hardly any beef pieces to speak of.
