Our home has 29 windows and 2 sliding glass doors that were in need of a serious cleaning. Nor-Cal was able to get us scheduled quickly and arrived promptly on time. Dave was pleasant when he showed up for an estimate and I felt that the situation was promising. He wrote up an estimate that seemed thorough and scheduled me for Aug. 18th. I then received an email with the estimate typed. Here is my mistake I guess- I assumed the appointment he scheduled was an actual appointment (it was written on the estimate) and I did not verify. On the 15th I texted Dave to ask if his team could come earlier than the scheduled time and received a text back that I had cancelled my appointment. Weirdly, he was actually referring to my original estimate appointment so I got super confused. I reminded him that we had already had the original appointment and that he had scheduled me for the 18th. I sent him a copy of the hand written estimate via text. He had no record of this or recollection it seemed. He then asked me to send him the invoice # of the estimate so he could look it up at his office. I thought," why are you asking me to do your work for you?" but I sent it to him. He attempted to reschedule but I decided not to go forward with this company. Obviously, there was a break down somewhere that shows a lack of professionalism. Sadly for me, I wasted time, lost money for not working that day and I still don't have the repairs done! read more

Called and left a detailed voicemail 3 weeks ago, spelled out the request (gutter cleaning), details of the house (number of stories, square footage, last time cleaned) and waited another week to finally just get a spammy text message asking for the exact things I told him and trying to sell me gutter covers! I really think Dave is an amazing guy. He came out did the work it was incredible. The only reason I gave them four stars supposed to five is because they spent less than an hour and it was about $900 which we thought was a little high. However they did an amazing job they were on time and Dave even spoke to me afterwards about a discount because I just lost my father. I would recommend Norcal maintenance if you have a very good budget to do the work needed. Service is a A+.Special consideration for circumstances A+. I would have to read to C for price. Their crew leader was very detail oriented and an excellant communicator. The team did a very good job of eliminating some sagging gutter sections and carefully re-sealing every seam and joint. Dave promised that we would be happy with the results and he did not disappoint. We're in an area of high risk for wildfires and CalFire warns people that gutters full of dried leaves and pine needles are a big risk so if you are at all worried about fire, give them a call. When in the house, it was full white glove service wearing masks and booties over their shoes they systematically got to each window moving furniture as needed and putting everything back exactly as they found it. They did a wonderful job washing all of our windows and replacing nearly all of the screens by building new ones on the fly. What a surprise to be awed by my gutter installation. Dave was most professional with his estimate and preparedness to have all the parts cut exactly to fit His workers were first rate. Arrived as scheduled and completed work as scheduled, taking due diligence to be sure i approved each step of the drain spouts location so as not to block my great Sausalito view. With the rainy season about to begin you may be considering having your rain gutters cleaned. I strongly advise that you avoid David Stankas and NorCal Maintenance. Hired him to do a job on my homes drainage/gutters which turned into a complete fiasco. It was so bad I had to take him to Small Claims Court where the Judge agreed he should make a refund. Nor-Cal Maintenance recently cleaned the moss off my roof, power washed my house, cleaned my windows. The owner, Dave, is very professional and courteous, as was his crew. They showed up on time on the scheduled day and got straight to work. An added bonus was that they noticed I had several badly worn out screens on my windows. I didn't realize they do screen repair.
