    Lamb Shank
    Brian V.

The ambiance along with the smell of mediterranean dish filled the air, I immediately knew the food was going to be sensational. I ordered the Lamb Shank along with the Kado it was Devine. I come here every other week for some drinks and Hooka along with ordering more delicious entrees.

    Kadu

Absolute standout of my visit to Nora's had to be the Kadu. The mix of the squash, meat sauce, and yogurt with herbs was just right and gave a wonderfully complex taste - the right amount of sweetness, savory, and fresh. My partner and I also got the lamb shank - the accompanying rice was well cooked and the lamb was very tender and the right temperature. I had the signature Nora's cocktail - very hibiscus-y and it is on the sweet side. We had a great service, the waiter was quite attentive and thoughtfully checked to see if our dishes had nuts before placing our order (one of us has an allergy. I loved the decorations and warm blue being the main color in the interior, though the inside was smaller than I thought it would be. It was raining outside but it would've been nice to try out the patio. The patio is parking lot level so it's not that scenic imo, but they have ample seating/decorations. Seating seems evenly split between inside/outside. Personally, I'd love to come back to try more of the appetizers (in particular the mantoo).

    Lamb Kabob

10/10 As soon as I walked up the owner Matt was outside and greeted us very nice and served us some really delicious food ! The lamb kabob was amazing!

    Great Afghani food!

Incredible food, drinks, and service!! I would eat here every day! Every plate from the appetizers, bread, and main course was so delicious.

Stumbled here as I was looking for one place and couldn't find it and opted for this spot. We walked in and wasn't greeted, caught the bartenders attention and was told to take a seat any place we like. Took a spot on the patio and waited for someone to bring us a menu much less a drink. Finally got the menu and asked if we could start with water and she dropped the water off and kept it moving although we knew what we wanted. Got our drinks ordered and food ordered and waited and waited and waited as we watched the people next to us who came in after us get their drinks & food. Finally got our drinks and food. The table was too small to accommodate all the plates to which I had to ask if the plant on the table can be removed. The apricot sour was okay, the potato & leek appetizer didn't meet my expectation. It looked pan fried however it wasn't hot nor warm like maybe it had been sitting in the window forgotten about. The sauce that came with it was thin, even for dipping sauce. The hummus was FANTASTIC! It has chick peas in the it that added texture to the hummus. It had a great flavor and the naan was a great vessel for the hummus. My friend has a salad which was a nice size hand she said tasted good. It was a task to get the servers attention to get the check and I don't recall her once asking how things were. Overall, I would come back for the hummus but I would sit at the bar so I'm not overlooked and forgotten about.

Just one photo of the chicken korma. Lamp shank was great as well.

Went here for a date night. Loved the Interiors but I liked their patio seating especially when the weather is good. Food and service were exceptional too. We tried their tiramisu martini, Texas sagebrush and Nora 75 which were all good. Then we ordered spicy chicken meatballs, lamb tikka taco, chicken with yogurt and chicken from the grill which came with vegetables and saffron rice. Meatballs were good but the lamb was a little dry for me but great flavor. Chicken was really juice and tender and was well seasoned as well. For desserts we ordered firnee and baklava out of which baklava was our favorite. They also serve hookah.

Location Mid town Bishop Arts, Dallas, TX Parking Street or pay lot Atmosphere Very classy/ upscale-middle eastern Service- "Are you part of the wine walk?" Response-"No but we can be" At that we were sold! Outstanding friendly and personable service!!! Seating Outside patio, porch, inside the ables, bar Menu Wide selection of starters, salads, entrees-middle eastern theme although we were told it may change soon. We had the meatballs that I spied another customer eating and really craved-did not disappoint! So good! Delicious sauce! Also had a basic salad that was AMAZING!! Large squares of feta, tomatoes, cucumbers-fantastic feta!! With a balsamic and olive oil! So tum! The house wine-cab and pinot grig-so good! Summary Why wait for a table across the street when this fantastic restaurant has outstanding service, great food, and beautiful atmosphere-?! This place is outstanding!

My friend found this restaurant on Yelp. When we went, it was during a Bishop Bazaar so it was prime for people watching. We sat inside across from the bar and we had a nice view of outside. There was no parking right by the restaurant but thankfully we found some street parking that wasn't too far away. When we got in, we were seated immediately and our waitress brought our waters and took our drink order. If you are getting a lot to eat you may struggle because most of their tables are really small. I tried their old fashioned and my friend and I shared hummus and bulanee and I got the arugula salad. That's when our experience started to go sideways. It took about 10 -15 minutes to get our drinks (it wasn't that busy). Then it took almost another 20 minutes to get our food (only appetizers and a salad!) The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because the food and drink were good. The bulanee was lukewarm but still tasty. The hummus was amazing, honestly it was some of the best I've had. It had some whole chickpeas that added texture, it had a nice amount of lemon juice, and it had tomato and parsley that brightened it up, the naan was warm, everything about it was good. My salad was huge and the ingredients were fresh, and it had the perfect amount of vinaigrette. I really think the waitress was where the opportunity was. I don't know if she had too many tables or what, but the table next to us got their drinks and appetizers before we did and we were there before them. Would I go back yes, the food was good and it is a great place to people watch. Hopefully you don't have to wait as long to get your items but it may still be worth the wait.

Nora is a very cute afghan, Mediterranean restaurant with great hummus and pita, and a really delicious grilled shrimp ceviche. We didn't love the house red wine, but I'm sure their other drinks and signature cocktails would be great. It is well decorated and service was quick.

Beautiful restaurant in Bishop arts with delicate and deep flavors of the Afghan culture. Cute spot for a date or a group outting- cozy and unique. Great setting- nestled in Bishop arts with a parking lots across the street- $6.75 or so for marking through the app. Pretty good prices for these days- Good good with lots of flavor and seasoned so well. We were very impressed. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking- ha. Go check them out. I'm glad I finally Got to try them out- always had my eye on them while they were on Greenville. Delicious.

Get More-a at Nora. This place is the first I've been to in Bishop Arts that gives decent portion sizes, which is a welcome change of pace to the equally expensive but petit dishes served at Paradiso, Casablanca, or Eno's. And what's ON those big plates is top notch-- my lamb was perfect, the rice was seasoned perfectly, and it was overall a 10/10 taste. My Girlfriend's dish was as, if not more, amazing. I've never been to Afghanistan so can't vouch for what "authentic" Afghan food tastes like, but if it tastes like this than a trip to Kabul is in high order, Taliban or no Taliban. Our server was super friendly as well, and we chatted about topics far removed from saffron, tekkas, and kabobs. We're new to the neighborhood so the friendliness was much appreciated! Will definitely be back.

Being the only one here right at noon was very quiet haha. This was my first time trying Afghani cuisine so it was for sure different. Nonetheless, the food was good, shareable dishes. Our server was friendly. It's also a hookah lounge so nice decor and furniture.

We came around 4:30ish and were promptly seated. I will say the service was awesome, until it started to feel like our server was constantly coming to the table trying to box our food up, take something away, or sell us something. I had an Old Fashioned, which was terrible, so I opted for a Sidecar instead. The Sidecar was good. I ordered the Hawaiian steak and the chili shrimp. The steak was cooked great, and the shrimp was really good, although the potatoes tasted overcooked. My friend also had the wings, which were overcooked, along with the Hawaiian steak. Overall, our total came up to almost $300. My biggest issue was after we finished eating. We were sitting there talking when someone came over and told us that the booth we were seated at was reserved. Now, I looked around, and there were plenty, and I mean PLENTY, of seats available. We came on a Tuesday, so it was not packed at all. We had already finished eating and paid, so we left, but the whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way. For almost $300, I definitely didn't expect to feel like we were being rushed out of an otherwise pretty empty restaurant. Overall, I'd give it an eh. Some of the food was good and the service started off great, but I don't think I'd be back.
