4.5! Let me start by saying--I cannot wait to go back . One thing that always draws me into a new restaurant is the appetizers, especially when they're unique... and this place absolutely delivered. We stopped in for Happy Hour , and our waitress--I believe her name was Tanisha (hope I got that right!)--was fantastic . We kicked things off with the ribeye cigars, truffle mushrooms, and Brussels sprouts. Oh. My. Goodness. The ribeye cigars were incredible--so good we just wished we had more. The Brussels sprouts were flavorful and cooked perfectly as well. For dinner, we had the Korean fried chicken and the Wagyu meatloaf --both were well-seasoned, packed with flavor, and extremely satisfying. Dessert sealed the deal : the croissant bread pudding was chef's kiss. You get two on a plate, which makes it perfect for a date night . The ambiance was on point with great background music , creating a relaxed but elevated vibe. Take-home message: we will absolutely be back for more

After reading the reviews, I was really expecting more from this place. I didn't have a bad experience, but nothing stood out to me either. The service was just okay; nothing above and beyond. We ordered a few entrees (Wagyu Meatloaf, Falafel Burger, Korean Fried Chicken, Cacio E Pepe) and none of them blew our minds. For the KFC to be as popular as it is, I was a bit underwhelmed. It was something about the Korean sauces that didn't hit home for me. The Toffee Bread Pudding we ordered for dessert was also mediocre and I was disappointed that there were more chocolate chips than there were toffee pieces (maybe 2). The caramel ice cream was a nice touch, however. I would have been a okay with just the two scoops of that. I'm happy to say that I have tried it, but I do not plan on coming back.

Celebration dinner!! This place was very good and the atmosphere and staff are spot on. From the TM that seated us to our server who held a conversation about life was so engaging. Worth the visit. The food. We had the Brussel sprouts and hey are a little salty but I would order again! The small snack of Palenta was incredible but very small. The meatloaf and Wagyu burger are amazing. The flavor was huge. Portions are very good as well. The bread pudding was a twist and flavorful. You need to stop here and enjoy it all.

I took my wife here for her birthday... now my mistake, she's more of a taco and burgers kind of girl.. but this place.. will be my "I need a glass of wine and good company" type of place. The service.. TOP NOTCH. Nash, I LOVE YOU FOR LIFE. Our server was delightful and super knowledgeable. Everyone greeted us with a smile. They were quick and seemed to pop up as soon as we needed them..I couldn't ask for more. Guys. Get the specials. Whatever it is, try it. We got the deviled egg, the fritter and the burrata. Listen, I could curl up in bed and just eat the focaccia until I die. Everything was beautiful seasoned, so flavorful and absolutely beautiful. I could just keep ordering and ordering. I will be back! Immediately. Oh and get a cocktail! The drinks were well balanced, not overly sweet and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Our son even enjoyed it! They made him is own fries with no seasoning. He finally got hip to ketchup and it was a win. Overall it was a delightful time. Wonderful food and great people

One of the Michelin star restaurants in Bishop Arts, Dallas. Best meatloaf I've had ever. Loved the laid back vibe and holiday music. The manager checked on us, and the chef brought the food out. I'm guessing it takes an hour to serve amazing food, but it was so good I didn't care. I'll be back for sure!

Really great place. Three money symbol quality food but just two money symbol pricing. This place has quietly been winning Michelin stars! Ya, it's that high end (but not priced like it) The service was excellent. Matt was our waiter and he was a consummate professional. Even the lady that came out to help with the space heaters was cool and had her own dynamic energy. Main character energy, if you will. The foie gras was an absolute banger! We got two it was so good! I had the high end shrimp and grits for my main. Really tasty. These were both specials. My fiancé got the Korean fried chicken and that was awesome. My sister got the salmon and salad and that also looked great. The only thing I didn't like were the deviled eggs. Way too salty. Overall, this a very nice place for special occasions. Cheers

Absolutely loved our experience at Stock and Barrel. Our server, Matt, was accommodating, attentive, and provided excellent recommendations. Our girl group of 4 decided to order 4 small bites, 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, and a dessert to share. The amount of food was perfect. We could not stop raving about the ribeye cigars and wagyu meatloaf. We had two sets of the small bites from the specials menu and they were fun 1-2 bites packed with flavor. Simple, modern and elevated vibe carried throughout the restaurant and as soon as you enter starting with the sleek facade and giant door.

Stock & Barrel's approach to offering exquisite cuisine options is unmatched. Our server Neisha was very knowledgeable on the menu and pairings. She helped us try something new, Nigiri, and made incredible recommendations. Leave room for the bread pudding, it's a buttery masterpiece worth the indulgence. I also highly recommend the Korean fried chicken!

    A burger

Avoid this place. The service is beyond slow, it was to the point they we thought our waiter left for the night. The food is horrible and that is being nice. The burger was the closest thing to edible and it had huge chunks of what tasted like cheap bacon on it.

ONE OF THE BEST DINNING EXPERIENCES EVER. Our server, Julio set the tone for an amazing night right away. The way he described all the specials was perfect. He was knowledgeable on everything. The food was delicious. My husband and I were celebrating my 30th birthday. This dinner set the tone for an amazing new decade for me! Such a memorable experience. Thank you so much Julio !!!

The bartenders were knowledgeable and fun to hang with because they clearly enjoy talking about their craft. Nothing worse than a bartender that is too important to chat it up with their customers. I had a delicious signature recipe called Dreaming of Suze (pic 2). It immediately caught my eye because Suze is a staple in our bar. It's a yellow French bitter liqueur you don't regularly find out at restaurants. I've never seen anyone infuse it. They complemented Mezcal with strawberry-infused Suze, sage syrup, lime and strawberry puree served in a tall glass over ice. It was a nice summer recipe and one I will definitely try to recreate at home. My second was a classic old fashioned made with Basil Hayden bourbon (pic 4) It was delicious and well-balanced. We let our server know that upfront, and while we were seated in the dining room without issue, the experience quickly went downhill. From the moment we mentioned happy hour, the tone shifted. The server spoke down to us for the remainder of the visit. As an interracial couple, it was especially uncomfortable that when discussing happy hour and pricing, he directed everything toward me (the Black partner), but when it came time to pay, the check was brought to my partner. That inconsistency didn't go unnoticed and felt like profiling...plain and simple. Service timing was also rough. Our old fashioned took about 20 minutes to arrive, and the food took 45 minutes to an hour...despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Throughout the meal, staff repeatedly tried to clear our plates when we were nowhere near finished, which made the whole experience feel rushed and unwelcome. Food-wise...credit where it's due. The Bolognese was fantastic. The fried chicken sandwich was just okay...no real seasoning or noticeable brine, though the hot honey it was tossed in was great. The old fashioned tasted watered down, even though I know it likely wasn't...just poorly balanced. We both work in the service industry, so we're understanding of small hiccups. But this wasn't that. This was poor service layered with uncomfortable behavior. If happy hour is offered, it shouldn't come with judgment...train your staff accordingly. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we'd return to. Being made to feel profiled and unwelcome on what was supposed to be a celebratory night isn't something we're interested in experiencing again.

Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K
