If you're looking for an amazing deal on video games, action figures, comic books, DVDs, magic cards or the like this is not the place for you. The owner talks the talk and walks the walk - extremely well I might add. When I was in there I mentioned a handful of things the average video game player has absolutely no clue of and he didn't skip a beat. That said the prices are extremely reasonable and I would not say anything is overpriced but is indeed worth what the asking price is of the item in question. Prices are even adjusted for the condition of the cartridge and labels too. The video game selection is quite varied with very little in the way of sports game garbage you used to see at GameStop and Hollywood Video. Final Fantasy II, III for the SNES, Super Mario RPG as a cartridge alone AND CIB. The console selection is a bit lacking but I'm not surprised given the lack of demand for 3DOs, CD-Is and the like. The game selection is limited to a handful of consoles with nothing too unusual around (no Atari Jaguar games or Colecovision that I saw) but mostly that of mainstream consoles such as the NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, 360 and such. read more

Depending on which stoner bro is working this place has very friendly customer service. They have an incredible amount in stock, though their standards for condition aren't the highest. Dont come here expecting a deal. Prices are consistently "Ebay + 20%" which is fine in the grand scheme of things. I dont mind paying a surcharge to support local businesses. It can be hard to justify on new products ($155 for a Retron 5???) or for disc only games when I can get mint complete in box for less but overall this is a perfectly fine little local store. read more

Called them and asked them to put two items on hold for me and I'd be on my way. Went straight there and I show up and they are closed.. 25 minutes early. If you were going to close early why would you not let me that on the phone instead of letting me drive out here. And what business closes nearly a half hour early anyways. This place is a nerdy kid's dream. At least it would be, if it was actually open when it was supposed to be. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable when they are actually there. Three weeks in a row I went there with my old roommate and they were just straight up closed, even though they were not supposed to be. Calling them on the phone doesn't help either, sometimes you call them and they close early for basically no reason. This store is a great place to go if you are into retro video games. Its the only place in town that still sells old 8-bit and 16-bit era stuff. They also have comics, 80s and 90s action figures, and posters and collectibles that I've literally never seen anywhere else. I honestly don't know if this place is still in business, as it been hit or miss. Not a very effective way to run a business. read more

This place is phenomenal, no other term for it. They get in retro games frequently and have prices that tend to match the lowest going price I can find on the internet. The selection is fantastic, staff knows what's up and are extremely friendly. I don't really understand what happened here. About 10 years ago, I came in here, around 2009, so retro collecting was still a big deal, and prices haven't fluctuated too much since then, and has stayed at a general plateau to this day. There was an awesome dude working that day who I guess had just gotten some nonworking stuff in, and sold me a Nomad with a broken screen for $15. $5 later, and I had a $20 nomad with a vibrant new screen! Awesome deal. Also bought a bunch of Star Wars action fleet ships for 6 bucks each complete in box. Awesome! So, I go in this week after being out of the area for years and its DEAD SILENT inside. I've been in libraries with more noise. Why aren't you guys playing music or something? It's a god damn Video Game and toy collectors store. Take pride in that! Also, what the HELL happened to your prices? Why is KOTOR, one of the most sold games on the original xbox with millions of copies out there being sold for $25??? I just checked Ebay right now, and I can buy a copy for $10 after shipping. I get you guys need to pay rent and all that, but overcharging for games isn't gonna help, because no one is gonna buy KOTOR for $25, and if you do, god, I'd hope you'd at least feel bad for tricking someone clearly uninformed. I'll come back... as much as I'd rather not, it's at least fun to look at stuff, but can you guys please just play some music or something? Very cool selection of gaming items. This store has so much to offer. It's just too bad that I didn't receive very good customer service. The cashier didn't make eye contact with me, and his answers to my questions were very short and disinterested. I think this store has a great atmosphere, and I'd love to shop here again, but I'd hate to see other people be turned away by the unenthusiastic behavior of the staff. read more

I really enjoy this place!! They have a fantastic selection of retro games, as well as a bunch of rad, 80s action figures. Every time I swing by the shop, they have new inventory. This is awesome because most places around me (Sacramento) always have the same lame stuff. Also, the prices are fantastic, they are always willing to give me a deal when I buy multiple items. Great place to find video games if your sick of GameStop or other big box stores. They have a nice inventory ranging from sega Saturn to playstation 2 to Xbox 360. If you like older games then this is your store. It also has comics, Legos and magic cards for the person who might not be into gaming. My wife was looking up places with video games when she came across this gem. I've lived up here for a couple years now, and as my final semester approaches, we come across one of the greatest stores in existence. The place is packed with video games from the Atari to this last generation of consoles (didn't see PS4, X1, or Wii U, but there's no reason for that as nothing is hard to find yet). I can't remember the last time I saw Sega Saturn games in a store. The closest place to this I had growing up was Dimple Records, and while they had the occasional gem, the majority of titles would be sports games that people didn't want. You come here and you'll find stuff you've been searching for over the past twenty years (assuming you don't just emulate), and they're sold at fair prices. When I say fair, I mean look at the internet pricing of whatever game, and if they have it, it'll be considerably less in most cases. In the case that you aren't into games, they have other collectables for you to gawk at, and maybe purchase. Plenty of figurines, hot wheels, games, music, and movies. Are you into Lego? They've got a lot, from sets to custom mini-figures. This place is a wonderland, if not to just look at and reminisce. Take some time and check this place out if you're in the area and consider yourself a "nerd" of any sort. I'm sure they'll have something you can appreciate. read more
