I brought my wife's 2008 Honda Fit in here in the afternoon of a Friday. I brought my laptop and was ready to "camp" here for an hour or so, as my previous experience with getting a smog done for the same car was. I did scan the reviews before I came in...bc the last time, not only I had to wait a long time, there was no cool place to sit and wait. So I was happy to find one with a waiting lobby. To be completely honest, I was a little taken back when I was told where the lobby was and when I first got into it. I will not disclose why...I think you'll know what I mean if you see it! I was happy and grateful to receive an ice-cold bottle of water. I sat down and proceeded to open my laptop and start doing my usual thing. And then, what seems like mere minutes, I was handed the copy of smog certificate, told that the electronic information was transmitted to DMV, etc...and I was done!!! I walked out and saw my car ready to go! It was so fast that I was walking out forgetting to pay! LOL! Oh, be sure to bring your phone and check in (you'll get a $10 discount!). I have been in the area for quite a few years and used several different smog test locations. One just a short distance away, which shall remain nameless (Ace Smog! Oopsie!) has charged me extra just because the vehicle is a truck. None of that going on here at Norco Smog. Francisco greeted me as soon as I walked in and quoted $50 for the test. Went out here to find out my smog required a STAR Certified station. This place is not Star certified. I wish I would have known. I arrived and the place told me they were sorry. I just want people to double check their smog renewal check. It will say STAR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Also if your insurance company didn't mail in the insurance info it will say proof of insurance required on your certificate. Bring your proof of insurance to the Smog station if the certificate says proof required. The difference according to the STAR station I went to is they can work on some cars that non certified stations can work on and its a special certification. This place does have a YELP coupon for 10.00 off so take advantage of it and Elm Street really isn't a street it looks more like a driveway. The employee was a nice guy. This place is a no smog no pay station, which is good to know. I would recommend for a non certified shop. I didn't give it five stars only because I would have appreciated if they would have told me about the STAR certification. read more

I was surprised when Zack responded immediately, and answered any questions. I Arrived at 3 pm, was immediately greeted, checked in etc. I mentioned to the gentleman assisting- if they also do other services as my tires were low on air. First off I want to say thank you to Zak. Great guy. I went in about a month or so ago when I got my reg and realized I needed a smog check. Unfortunately when I got there my fuel pump decided to die as I was pulling in and truck was dead. Without missing a beat or complaining Zak immediately grabbed his Land Rover and tow strap and pulled me to where I could call for a tow. It was hot as hell and when I tried to tip him he said no thank you and just come back when truck gets running. He then bugged me to get out of the heat and offered me cold water and AC while I waited for the tow truck. Over the past month I have been trying to drive cycle the truck since battery was pulled and fuel tank and pump were both pulled to get it running again, Zak not only answered my questions, gave me a link to drive cycle process, but even ran a scan tool a few times to see if it was ready, again never taking a dime. So today I was finally able to get codes to clear and Zak was right there to get my truck smogged. Even in 100+ degree weather Zak was friendly, attentive, offered a cold beverage, and got me smogged and on my way quickly. I know some have said some not so great things about their experience, but my friends that have come to see Zak have had the same experience I have. To those that haven't I guess the only thing I can say is you must be getting what you put out. Zak is a great guy and goes out of his way to make his customers happy. Again, thank you Zak.
