It's a big store. It used to be the old Lord & Taylor. Two floor and the day I was there the second floor air conditioning was out so definitely cut my visit very short considering it was already 90 degrees outside. I'm not sure what I was expecting. With the pricing, and with what I've read, I expected it to be on the lines of a Roche Bobois... not even close. I know this is an outlet store but if this is what they sell... it's not for me. It had a really poor selection of damaged items that are still way over priced. I was honestly expecting to see much better prices on pieces especially ones with obvious flaws and I was surprised to see brands that come from China. I know RH has membership pricing and a strong following. IMO...there are so many better options and you can probably find brand new and factory fresh for the same price or even less than the used pieces they have. Personally I will go elsewhere. - [ ]

They knew the problem before he came out. I video the problem. Ok he ordered the parts. I had to wait til we returned to florida and set up a new appt date. It was supposed to be last week between 8 and noon. The tech did not call. I called him at noon and asked what was happening. Oh his car broke down and he would be here between 3 and 5. At 5 he showed up and then told me he ordered the wrong part. Duh? Now what? I have talked to Jennifer at Baer and she keeps telling me that she reports these issues. However, nothing gets resolved. She has asked me several times to write another review. Well here it is another failure. I would definitely tell people not go buy from Baer. They pass the buck. Jennifer told me that this is a problem with the warranty people.. I tell her that since I am a customer of Baer then Baer is responsible to m.e. I have read a numer of similar poor reviews. Sounds like mine is part of a trend. Too bad. they have nice furniture. However, they are not the only furniture store in the boca area.

If walk-in customers are such an inconvenience, just put a sign on the door. I guess they don't need people who show up ready to spend money. They've grown from basically a light bulb store with some light fixtures to a lighting fixture store three times its original size (that also sells light bulbs) and for good reason; they sell major designer brands and they treat their customers with respect. Birch Lane is much more conventional and boring and because of size constraints, they don't have much inventory on the floor. Unfortunately, we left empty-handed, but not for a lack of trying. The staff did offer us the option of looking for other options online and having them ship it to us. However if I wanted to order something from Birch Lane or Wayfair, I could just do that in the comfort of my home. I don't need a salesperson to act as a middleman and browse the website with me.
