The walk takes about 15 minutes and is a great way to start your day each morning. There are also kayaks, board games, tennis courts, corn hole boards, a pool and hot tub available for hotel guests. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfy and are well appointed with bath robes, a small refrigerator/freezer, seating area and outdoor balcony for upgraded rooms with a lake view. A basic continental breakfast is offered in the lobby every morning with coffee and tea available throughout the day. This family run resort is a family favorite for a reason! Kids 12 and over are welcome.

The variety of breakfast is a little lacking, but it is a small operation. Our suite was a bit funky, as you walked in through one king bedroom to get to the Living area. There was another king bedroom that was lofted and both have their own en suite bathrooms with a fabulous shower, set up, with a regular head, range, showerhead, and three body sprays. There was an issue one night, where there was a constant clicking, and being a musician. I measured it with my metronome, it clicked 42 time per minute. The manager and this person went on the roof themselves to try to discover the problem, along with her HVAC service, and found the issue, comping us one entire day. We will definitely try to stay at the same resort on our next trip, and will try to book far enough in advance to get the penthouse suites!

Church Hill Inn - Bed and jacuzzi

There's plenty of parking in the lot in front, complete with a fountain and foliage. The inn is the perfect blend between inn and B&B. The owner checked me in with a warm welcome but was blessedly brief. He told me what I needed to know but unlike most B&Bs he didn't tell me his life story. I appreciated the ability to get to my room faster. I initially found this place because I came with my sister a decade ago and needed a place with two beds which this inn had. My room this time was on the second floor. There are no elevators so if you don't do stairs be sure to book a first floor room. Both levels have two cozy sitting places with comfy chairs. The first floor has a side porch with a comfy couch. First floor also has an honor bar with wine, soda, beer (spotted cow of course!) and a few little snacks. And a 24 hour coffee machine. The rooms are all nice. This time I had a ridiculously large suite because I booked last minute and it's all that was available. But wow! It was impressive. The sitting area has two sumptuous chairs thick enough to cozy my full body into with legs curled up, and arms wide enough to rest books on. There's a wet bar and the fridge works great. My ice packs even stayed solid in the little freezer element. The balcony has two chairs and is quite lovely. The shower is remarkably refreshing with nicely scented bath products. The sink is separate from the toilet and shower. Strangely the jacuzzi is out of the bathroom altogether and next to the bed which for me is a bizarre juxtaposition. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough that I slept quite soundly. The breakfast on the weekdays I was there was from 8-10a. The coffee was good although a little weaker than I make it at home. There's a menu and you can order as much as you want, all included in the room charge. Every morning included options of: orange or grapefruit, house made granola, variety of breads, vanilla yogurt, and a bakery item such as a muffin or slice of coffee cake. Then there were always three hot items such as scrambled eggs, ham, waffles with cherry. I loved the variety of choices and everything was delicious. I missed more fruit and would have like a banana or some in season fruit since it was summer. Everything was wonderful and this will continue to be where I stay whenever I visit door county.

The amenities were nice - I loved the fire pit in the front and back, the board games and books available to guests and also the variety of beer, wine, snacks and frozen pizza for guests to enjoy. First time I stayed was Christmas travel. Called direct to make a reservation. It was Christmas so, He was so nice and waved the pet fee for my two large dogs. We arrived and checked in quite easily. He was helpful, answered all of our questions and gave recommendations. Very nice. On arrival. We went hiking and cove park and White dunes state park and it was cold! Snow storm. Even still, there was a really nice fenced dog area. Quite large really. There was a nice basket for toys and extra leashes, dog bags of course. The dogs loved it! They ran around and jumped on the picnic table in the middle. The room. See pics. I was very surprised. It was quite large, lots of space. Bathroom large. Plenty of space for the dog bowls. Oh wait let me say that there was a basket for pets! Dog bowls, a bag of treats, a bed and a blanket and a beloved tennis ball. So sweet. The bed and bedding was comfy with plenty of pillows. Larger room than usual in my experience. Plenty of entrances and ways to the outdoors, front desk and dog park. It is very welcoming, even during a snowy storm and cold. there are areas with comfy chairs outside with a gas fire pit that is toasty. I was surprised but it was quite nice and warm! We stayed again in January for some ice fishing and the dogs knew right what to do and where their treats and ball were. Throughout the whole hotel, there were pet decorations and just really cozy. Very clean and upkeep was amazing. The property is beautiful. They do have a small amount of wine and beer at the desk, pizza that they can make you if you're stuck in and snacks. Prices are very reasonable and convenient. Oh yeah, there is a really cute, nice pool area. We didn't use it but I would recommend it! Highly recommended! I'm not sure what it'l like in season but I would definitely recommend it in off season! They do everything right at this place. What great planning on a wonderful property!

We stayed in a corner room upstairs. The room was very clean. The room had windows facing the bay for a view of the water and the sunset, a fireplace (which we didn't use), king-sized bed, a couch and an easy chair. We had plenty of room to relax. The inn has two gazebos with comfortable outdoor furniture and yard games. There's also a well-appointed great room with a huge fireplace, comfortable leather furniture and board games for gathering inside with friends. A continental breakfast was served each morning in a dining room where guests have separate tables. The breakfast was not your average continental breakfast. They had several types of delicious pastries that changed each day, fruit, juices, good coffee, hard-boiled eggs, toast, bagels and a meat/cheese plate and a fresh berry yogurt parfait on request. My husband especially liked the pecan pie bars and I enjoyed the blueberry coffee cake, rhubarb muffins and chocolate croissants. We overate daily! We had a minor issue with our AC on day two of our visit. The staff called a technician out immediately and the issue was resolved while we went about our day. The only suggestions I have for improvement is that the internet is painfully slow and the mattress in our room needed replacing--you can only get so far on a foam pad on top an old mattress.
