I loved this store until the recent change. Clearance items are not returnable both in store and online. I used to shop for my husband and felt safe if he didn't like what I selected because i could return it. No more. I sadly won't shop here anymore. read more

The prices weren't that great. The quality of clothes were slightly better quality than TJ Maxx but much expensive. The quality and selection just keeps getting worse. read more

Terrible customer service. Our cashier Suleyman T was unhelpful and unkind, and the manager of the store took her sweet time trying to find a tag for a pair of pants they didn't have labeled- there was a huge line of people and I kept mentioning that their slow service was holding up the line and the manager walked back even slower. Suleyman threw our receipt in the bag rudely and when we reported the bad service they both acted like they could care less. It's christmas eve, people are trying to get to their families- and Suleyman T and his floor manager were a poor representation of Nordstrom Rack customer service. I will not be shopping here again especially because of their lack of awareness that there are many people shopping and their lack of care and concern at fixing the problem held up a line of 20 some people. read more

I haven't been to a Nordstrom rack in quite a long time. I forgot that they also carry some home goods. So I did enjoy browsing that section. I came specifically to look for a couple cocktail dresses for an upcoming anniversary trip to Vegas. I was surprised they didn't have a bigger selection of skimpy, fun dresses. Lol. But I managed to find two. Both were your basic fitted mini dress. One was even on clearance for only $12. I was also keeping my eyes open for an evening gown for a formal dinner we have next month. But I only saw one that was remotely interesting and it was over the top with a price tag to go along with it (almost $300). They also had a decent collection of lounge wear. But I had more success with active wear. I found a super cool wind breaker for $20. Not bad. At the register I signed up for Nordstrom rewards. I guess I earn points now when I give them my phone number. So that's cool. I'm sure I'll return! read more

I'm a fan of this Nordstrom Rack! There is something for everyone here. Although, the last time I was there, I was only able to find one shirt that I liked. I didn't buy it though since it didn't look right when I tried it on. The men's section is small but there is a huge shoe section for men, women, and kids. They also have a GREAT purse/bag/wallet section. There were a ton of things I would definitely want to buy from that section. Also, there are a lot of impulse items for you to buy near the checkout. When we were there, they had a ton of NYX cosmetics... although I don't think they actually sell NYX cosmetics in Nordstrom. There is a women's only section for fitting rooms, and unisex section for fitting rooms, in case the women's only section gets full. The employees working here were nice. It took over 30 minutes at the register trying to get a purchase with a credit card. The associate and manager both messed up their transactions. This sent an alert to fraud. So then on the phone 10 extra minutes for their mistake verifying it was me. No compensation for wasted time. read more

I'm a Nordstrom Icon Member, that means I'm the most valued card member. And every time during checkout they ask me If I want to apply for a credit card. My answer is- I'm an Icon Member (that means, hey I'm already have it) and the cashiers keep asking if I want to get a card. Really Nordstrom ? Your employees have no idea what types of membership you have ?? Another reason I took away 3 stars- I buy online and return a lot. I mean A LOT. Every other week I visit the store to return something. And I can see a few cashiers eyes rolling every time I'm there and how they annoyed with these returns. So unprofessional. You won't find great customer service or friendly employees there. I love Nordstrom but this Nordstrom Rack sucks. read more

My new crush...I finally had to cave in and toss my worn out Ugg slippers. I replaced them here today for $41 (that's a 71 percent savings) And I found a Michael Kors wallet I almost bought at Macy's last week for 50 percent off. I love saving money. Selection is somewhat limited - I would love to see more cosmetics and home decor. But the shoe section is well stocked. Only one cashier, but it was worth waiting for these bargains. read more

I have been to better Nordstrom Racks and I have been to worse. My biased review hinges on the availability of higher end handbags. Occasionally, a Marc Jacobs, (not Marc by Marc Jacobs), will find its way to the Rack. It is also my opinion that whomever makes the decisions on what products go where, will probably opt for the higher end products go to areas with a larger population, which means Dayton will probably not see these items. I could be wrong. I hope so. There were some hidden gems in the shoe department. I have a weakness for Stuart Weitzman and Aquatalia which were available in limited styles. My overall savings over full retail prices was between 70-80%. Well worth the visit. read more

We stopped in here to look for some new flip flops - specifically Sanuk's for me and Oakley's for by boyfriend. This store is in a great location at the Greene. The store was neat, clean and well organized. I did browse through the clothes briefly (we were on a time crunch) so I can't really compare to other stores in regards to variety of what they had in stock, but from what I saw, I thought it was a decent selection. But the shoes, ooohh dear lord......I must go back!!! I actually scored a pair of Sanuk flip flops for $19.99 - normally $32.00 - yay me!! If you have not had the chance to wear a pair of Sanuk yoga mat flip flops you are seriously missing out, they are the best ever! They only had one pair in my size, but I will definitely be coming back here to go thru the shoe section again. Although my boyfriend did not find any this trip, he will definitely come back and look too when we have more time! Definitely worth a stop in! Friendly staff too! read more

However, on my opinion, this store [Rookwood Commons- Cincinnati] contrasts in comparison to the service that one would expect from a Nordstrom brand - for example: 1) Employees constantly on the phone while checking-out your merchandise. 2) Very little assistance in each of their departments. 3) Sales associates are not 'engaging' - personable. 4) Store does not cater to big/tall - if you find something that you like and fits --BUY IT! read more

So I was really excited when I heard they were putting a Nordstrom Rack close to me! I finally went after a few weeks of them being open and I gotta say I was disappointed. The women's cloths were downright ugly and really overpriced. I didn't look at all the departments so I can't speak for everything, but I found the kids and shoes to be the best sections. They have fantastic prices on tennis shoes and not bad prices on other shoes. The kids section is huge and really nicely priced. Overall I just find this to be an upscale T.J. Maxx with awful women's clothes. I'll be back in for tennis shoes and probably the kids section, but will be skipping the rest of the store. read more

I admit, this is a somewhat biased review, as I am always a fan of Nordstrom Rack. What separates really great ones from the meh ones, however, are the following: - variety of brands - variety of items (accessories, shoes, clothing, etc) - organization of the store overall As far as Nordstrom Racks go, this one seems to be doing okay so far. They have a fair variety of styles, brands, etc. And so far, it's very clean and well organized; we'll see how long that lasts... My only complaint would be that there isn't that much by way of "young professional" or "casual" dress; there's a decent juniors section, a very extensive women's section, and a bit less for the mid 20s-mid 30s. Also, this one is on the smaller side. All that said, I was able to come back from the pre-opening sale with QUITE the haul. Thus far, I'm a pretty happy camper! read more

Very small store. NOTHING like Nordstrom. Really wish Dayton had a Nordstrom. Best thing about this store is the shoes. The thing is you have to look and look to fing a deal. You can get a better deal at Von Maur shoe room. The store is hot and lines are long. The men's clothing is not discounted as much as it should being an outlet so when I ship for my fiance I don't get as good a deal. read more

I was looking for an assorted Vince Jacket. Which means they cant look up the item on the computer but rather check the physical location of each designer item and confirm whether or not its in stock. I am from California and spent too much of my time calling for this jacket (2 days and over 30 stores), finally found it in this store, so i thought. I am very pissed off to learn my order was cancelled the day the item was supposed to arrive. the Associate in the store helping me said she had it and in my size. I was ecstatic. She then took my credit card information. Today I got the most BS generic letter from Nordstrom saying it happens and i should try shopping with them again. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I was already fed up Hautelook after Nordstrom aquired the company for the same reason and now the Rack is turning into a zoo. The only reason I chose to get this item from here in the first place is because its sold out on Vince and Nordstroms didn't have it. Just the rack. I was depending on this jacket for this weekends trip. I obviously wasted too much of time to be incredibly disappointed and will now have to hope i can find a suitable jacket from another store on my lunch hour. Thanks for nothing Nordstroms. read more
