Just the right size to navigate around the store with but compact enough to put what I need without overloading it!! In a way.... It feels like my laundry basket... Except this one is fun, because I am shopping instead of doing a chore! Well, as I shop with my handy shopping device in my hand, I quickly, very quickly, go through the Men's section. It seems like this new location downsized the men's clothing and accessories or squeezed everything into the first floor!! This section isn't as nice as it was at the old location and products seemed very sparse during this visit. My BF was not too happy with the selection this time, but won't stop him in coming back again. It is quite understandable, since it was the holiday season. As I go up the escalator, the view of the second floor was totally dedicated to the female clientele!! No complains here, because I just love how roomy the place is! Full of massive clothes and accessories that laid before my eyes! I can literally spend all afternoon and part of the evening just shopping for bargains!! Plastered stickers, mismatched shoes, non-clearance in the clearance section? Gotta love this upgraded version of Ross stores. My little comments aside, Nordstrom Rack is a great place to find bargains on name brand items and up-to-date fashion finds. Mens on the bottom level and Womens upstairs, this place has tons of treasures to be found. From designer shoes to athletic gear, undergarments, jewelry, body care and more; my favorite sections to prowl are the clearance racks (sometimes up to 85% off the retail!) and the designer shoe are for women. On my last trip here, I snatched a gorgeous pair of Tory Burch flats for $179 vs $350 retail, still pricey but totally worth it. I also recommend Nordstrom Rack when youre looking for a specific outfit and have some time to shop around. They have a generous 90 day return policy, so keep your receipts in case you find something else at another store. I really liked Nordstrom Rack when they were at their old location across the street. I LOVE their new 2-story location that shares a parking lot with TJ Maxx and Pier 1 Imports! There is definitely more parking and more of everything there. The first floor houses all of the men's clothing and shoes. The second floor consists of kids and women's clothing, shoes, bags, beauty products, accessories and electronic devices. The Rack has some pretty sweet deals on items that would normally be priced much, much higher. I especially love that they have higher end beauty products for a fraction of the price. I purchased some hair care and skin care products that would have been almost twice as much at their normal retail stores in the mall. One of the most awesome services they offer is the ability to check out and pay for your items throughout the floor-just look for an employee and they can ring you up right on the floor. You don't necessarily have to go to the cash register, they'll even print a receipt for you right there. If you forget your Nordstrom card (not a credit card; it uses funds from your checking account and it allows you to earn points for rewards), not a problem, they have the ability to look you up when you give them your information and a valid picture ID. Have I mentioned their awesome shopping carts? They have a variety of shopping carts and wagons. Their little basket has wheels and a handle that you can lengthen (similar to a luggage handle) and they have another cart that is pure genius. The cart has a high horizontal bar to hang your clothes from! Of course, this is very dangerous for me as I am always tempted to fill up the rack. Their customer service is always pretty good and the store for the most part stays clean and organized. This review is for a specific staff member who was such a sweetheart that was willing to help my parents with an item, every step of the way. Hopefully, with other possible reviews, she will be recognized and deserves every right to get such a high review. One of the workers, named Britteny was SO nice to help my mom with the Michele watch purchase. My mom had a long dilemma within the 2 hours we were at the store of whether to purchase the $750+ watch and therefore a bunch of questions came up. Let's just say, Britteny was nice enough to bring up all these helpful possibilities upon her own free will. My mom's first concern was if to purchase in Hawaii since the tax is low...or purchase it back home in SF..hoping to see or know if there is even any Michele brand watches sold at SF Nordstrom Racks... Britteny was nice enough to go the extent, without asking my Mom, by calling different SF/Bay Area locations to see if they sell the watches. Okay, Check. Second helpful situation, the watch was able to be put on hold for my mom and Britteny was willing to stay longer than her shift to make sure she is there to help my mom by assisting her with the purchase and happily convincing to make purchase the watch...which she did (: Again, if it weren't for Britteny, it would be hard for my mom to make the choice or even knowing any outcomes of possible choices to make about the purchase. Nordstrom has nice things. Nordstrom rack has the same nice things (just a little less new). The store is large, two clean and bright levels at Ward. It's located between TJMaxx and Pier 1 Imports. While they mainly have clothing, they also carry shoes, house-hold goods, exercise attire, and various goods. Everything available is much more reasonable than the Ala Moana counterpart. The store is usually busy, but with plenty of registers and cashiers. There is ample free parking and lots to eat in the same complex. read more

June 14th, store supposed to open at 11am. It's almost 12 and they're barely opening the doors and there's a long line still waiting to get in. Nordstrom better honor returns for much longer than their current policy. These lines are atrocious and we'll see about their customer service... As another reviewer said, it's at least 1-1.5 hour standing and waiting in line to get in. The two employees standing by the door aren't paying attention as customers leave the store; they're not letting more people in as other customers exit. I grew up in WA and I've been shopping at Nordstrom for more than 20 years. Nordstrom, your stock is down! The Rack (all of them) and the main location, are woefully devoid of plus sized clothing and what a shame that is.. I get that they market to tourists who, when considering the asian tourists, are mostly petite, but there are a lot of tourists and locals who are plus sized and would like to shop at stores other than Torrid and Jeans Warehouse. A rack or two isn't enough. Other than the lack of plus sized clothing, this store is pretty good due to it's lack of inclusivity. There is a large selection of shoes and clothes as well as children/baby clothes and bedding. It must be noted that this location has a great selection of suitcases and travel necessities and that the men's section is on it's own floor which allows for a larger merchandise selection for the women's items. The jewelry selection is smaller than other Nordstrom Racks but still adequate. The shoe selection is the star of the store, I've saved hundreds getting shoes off season here for a STEAL. read more

Every time we buy sunglasses, he goes above and beyond to help us find the cases and boxes (which is great because not a lot of the other associates will look). He always treats us like a friend and is more than happy to genuinely look in the back for additional merchandise. Without him, my shopping experience would be average, but he's honestly the only reason we go back to the Rack to look for sunglasses. Definitely an asset to the company. Also, (what seems to be every month) Nordstrom Rack holds a sale called "Clear the Rack" which you receive an additional discount on certain clearance items (typically 25% off). This Nordstrom Rack location is much better than the previous location right next to the Ward theaters. I felt the racks were all cluttered and congested in the old location. Never really bought anything from there. Probably because some the merchandise were too pricey or wasn't my style of clothing to wear. The first is mostly for the men clothing, shoes, etc. The second is women, juniors, kids, bags, make up, accessaries. Also the restrooms is at the back of the second floor right by the children's clothing. There is 2 stalls for women. Luckily there is two exits on this floor to enter the parking structure. BTW, the parking structure is really strange one and to exit out is little confusing for those who don't come shop often. The bag selection wasn't impressive. I realized my Marc Fisher brown bag was slowly deteriorating from the top to the bottom. I wanted to see what styles they had to offer. But there wasn't anything I would purchase that could replace my current bag. SAD FACE :( The styles in the clearance section were either too small, gaudy, or too expensive for the price range I told myself. I usually go to Nordstrom Rack for shoes, but couldn't find a good pair this time. (I did like the fact that both sides of the shoe is RIGHT there instead of the old system though.) Not so confusing anymore ;) A lot of options to choose and they have brand company that were organized separately so you know which to shop for than usual department store that mixed all, inexpensive and expensive. A great service that people would come to you and check on you if you need help, at a department store? WOW! Parking there is like HAKUNA MATATA! Plenty of parking to find on level one, two, three, and four! More parking if you park in Ward Shopping Plaza across the street. While the prices here are not like WalMart, here you get what you pay for. Great clothing at a more than decent price which will last you just about forever! Sales agents are visible all over the place. If you get lost while enjoying the many facets of this store, directions to where you want to go is easy, ask a customer sales agent. The fact that this store has all the up to dates, less a month or so trailing, it's a great bargain if you don't have to have the item...right away. I loved the old Nordstrom as my friend worked in the shoe department but she has since retired. The new department has many bargains, lots of name brands! Will I be back, oh yes! I really hate digging through racks and racks of clothes, so whenever I visit their store, I just look at the shoes and bags...sometimes I'll walk through the clothes and quickly browse, but I hate the "hunting" part...I know that's how the best deals are found, but I can't do it!! The workers are nice, they don't really bother me, but if I need help, they'll stop what they're doing and assist. I once bought a pair of shoes, went home, and found that the security tags weren't taken off! The sensor things by the doors didn't even go off! Nordstrom Rack is located in the Ward Village area between Auhi and Queen streets. There is a parking garage entrance on either street which is often really crowded. The upper parking levels are accessible in a spiraling drive that has lots of scratch and tire marks on it-best to drive slowly and carefully as it is narrow. There are elevators and signs as to which level to go to. The elevators are huge-could easily fit a football team in it. I went to the third floor which has women's and children's clothes as well as accessories, lingerie, and lots of shoes. One of the things I always think of at a Nordstrom Rack is the shoes. You can get designer shoes for a price that won't break the bank. They have a lot of different brands available. The selection of children's clothes was pretty limited compared to other Nordstrom Racks I have been to but like all of the Racks, it can be hit or mix. There were some good bargains on purses but limited selection. Part of the fun is looking for that blow-out bargain but you're not likely to find it every time. Thank god a sales associate came and asked if I needed some help. (I guess I looked frustrated) I had a vision in my head but couldn't explain it right. Nordstrom Rack is my go-to place to shop! I remember being worried about their location move from behind the Ward theater to this "South Shore Market" location, but I love it! Speaking of South Shore Market, I really like that there's a TJ Maxx, Eden in Love, Hakubundo, and Agu Ramen all on this side of Ward, now! The parking structure is really good, I know there's at least 4 or 5 floors, but I never have to drive that far up! Nordstrom Rack has 2 entrances on the 3rd floor of the parking structure (women's everything, children, and houseware are located here). They also have an entrance on the ground floor, which enters the men's section. I always find stuff at Nordstrom Rack, whether it be their "regular priced" rack stuff (which is still cheaper than original sale prices) or their "Clear the Rack" racks stuff. The workers are always nice, and even if there's a long line, they're pretty good at calling for backup. There are certain stations throughout the store that you can do a quick check out if you're paying with card. I hardly ever use those. The only negative thing I encounter from time to time is when they forget to take the security tags off of the clothing. They're always nice about it, so it's no big deal, but just look out for that to avoid the embarrassing security beeping or getting home only to find out that you have to go back for them to remove it (both of which has happened to me, ha!). Overall, this is STILL my go-to place, and now you can make a day of it with all the added stores and eating establishments in the area. read more

I couldn't find what I needed and asked a worker and they promptly suggested several shirts. I went to the fitting room because I didn't want to show off my muscles (I'm kidding! Okay maybe half kidding.) and found one that I really liked but it was wrinkled. I asked the fitting room attendant if they could iron or steam it. They couldn't because alterations was not open yet, but they called the womens department and sent me upstairs. The womens department had a steam machine and about five minutes later I had a wrinkle-free shirt! A single button down shirt here set me back $44, but I was pressed for time and they had exactly what I needed. I think convenience sometimes outweighs cost. What was great was that the employees communicated well and knew what they were doing. 5 stars for finding several possible shirts in seconds, great teamwork, and for making me presentable in a jiffy! read more

This new store is WAY MORE ORGANIZED than the last one. I felt like the last store was more of a bargain bin basement and you had to dig through racks to find something you MIGHT like. The new location is WAY better...so far. The parking is great...go to the 3rd floor of the garage, it's free to park and you walk right into the store. Easy. I'm not impressed with the kids section, I feel like they could do a bit more to separate the girls and boys clothes, and then also organize it by size better than either gender is on the same 2 racks and good luck finding the size you're looking for because it's apparently 6mt to 6 yrs. WTF? The shoes...who's in charge of the damn shoe display at this store? You need fired. Seriously. Or whomever is in charge of cleaning up this area, you need fired. This section, at both locations, is a effing MESS. Maybe a stamped of crazy shoe freaks come in on a daily basis, try every shoe on from every rack and then decide they don't want them, throw them on the floor, and run out. You're so overwhelmed you're like "FML!!! I can't pick up one more shoe." That sums up the shoe department. The rest of the store is fine. I wasn't blown away, and I had better luck next door at TJ Maxx. The highlight are the deals I saw on baby gear. If you're in need of a Petunia Pickle Bottom baby bag that's $100 off the sticker price, than you're in luck. Nordstrom Rack recently moved next door to the newer Ward complex. In what seemed to come up almost instantly, that section was only home to TJ Maxx a few months ago. In the old location, there was just one large floor separated by different departments with shoes in the back side. On this new location, men's department is on the bottom floor where as women's in on the top floor. What I like about the new Nordstrom Rack: - Larger men's selection but the shoes section either got smaller or stayed the same. - Everything there is much more organized. Sport wear is near the stairs, denim behind it. Formal wear is across from there, and shoes in the back. - Fast check out systems where employees can check you out with their mobile scanners. - Lots more parking! You no longer need to fight with movie-goers for parking! - Slightly larger selection of men's formal wear and jeans. Lucky Brand jeans are their best value. Just make sure you save 34x32 for me and don't take them all! - Larger dressing rooms specifically for men's floor. My only complaint is that the registers are upstairs, but that can be a bad and good since it gives me space for downstairs! read more

I have to admit that I am not too crazy about this store because of the price range and I looked at the men's selection of shoes and I was not too amazed by it because of the choices that they have and it is pretty much limited to what kinds of styles of shoes. However, I do like the bag and sunglasses section because it's a very well organized area as well as the sunglasses area is very neat and planned. Ok, I'm in love with their new location. Two floors of shopping heaven!! Their bottom floor is dedicated to the men. Shoes, accessories and clothes for almost any occasion. A few pieces of luggage too. I've been tempted to browse to look for clothes for my brother and nephew. I need to do that on my next visit. The second floor is where you'll find me! Jewelry, a small household goods section (smaller than their old location), wallets and handbags, sunglasses and watches, and SHOES!! They also carry misses sizes, an expanded petites section and they have a small plus size section again. The restrooms are located on the second floor at the back of the store just past the shoes. Stop by and check out their new location! I love that you can check out with anyone in green nordstrom shirts. No more standing in a long line! Have I never written a review for this place? So odd because I love it. I come here a LOT. The store can be a bit of a mess at times but the prices are so good. I have seen some incredible deals here. You can get everything from OluKai slippers to an Armani gown. Prices are generally at least 60% off retail. I especially like the dresses and the shoes. In general, the fitting rooms are good if a tad small. The attendants can be a bit gruff at times, but it is a rough job, I think. I just grab as many items I can carry and bring them in the room. When it comes to shopping, I've got multiple personalities. I LOVE when a store has a huge selection and aisles for days. However at the same time, it frustrates me because I start feeling overwhelmed pretty quickly. The old Nordstrom Rack location was a pretty decent size, but I rarely shopped there because I never really found too many items I liked. I was also discouraged to even shop when I would enter and see the long lines of people waiting to be rung up. I never understood why that Nordstrom Rack and almost all Ross' Dress for Less have so many registers open, yet the lines move ever so slowly. Honestly, the only reason I went to the new Nordstrom Rack is because my husband needed to return a Christmas present. When I entered the store and saw the massive store, I swear I heard that familiar heavenly choir sound you hear in movies...."AHHHHHHHHHHH". Since I had my hubby, and toddler daughter with me I only browsed 1/2 of one level of the store. I did manage to finally find a jacket for our upcoming trip which I've been searching for months for. I will for sure be back to take a better look at both levels! I really love their new feature of mobile scanners! Just find an employee which if I'm remembering correctly are wearing a bright lime green shirt. They have mobile scanners like Apple employees and can ring you up right then and there! Although I'm not sure if it's only for people paying via credit card? I'm kind of curious if they can assist you if you're paying by cash or check? In any case, I wish all stores especially places like Ross' Dress for Less would jump on that wagon too. I felt unwelcomed to pay my Nordstrom card here. I was serviced by an older Caucasian woman wearing eye glasses who made unnecessary remarks when I asked to make a payment. After telling her the specific amount I wanted to pay, she insisted it was less than my minimum on my statement. I know how much I want to pay, why should I be questioned about it? I am not illiterate. If I didn't present a statement, would she still be insisting about a minimum payment amount? Then, there was an issue about my debit card not going through. I then used my other debit card. So what if I forgot my pin? She also made a comment about that. People, such as myself, can have multiple debit and/or credit cards. Why would you as a cashier question this? I am not happy about this and hope management will address this issue, it is not acceptable. Retail should provide great customer service regardless if a sale is not involved-especially Nordstrom even if it's just the Rack location. The company allows payment to be made in stores.
