Who doesn't love a bargain? Better yet, designer brands for discount prices. Just don't come here if you're tired. The store can be visually overwhelming. The Good: In the front half of the store they have many racks organized by the specific designer. So, if you really want a Juicy Couture hoodie, this would be the first place to look. The Bad: Nordstrom, most famously known for their shoe collection, would be horrified to see the mosh pit of shoes on the overloaded racks. There are TONS of shoes, but sorting through the heinous ones to find "that perfect pair" is hard to do. The Ugly: Clothing is crammed on the racks. I mean, really crammed. I was looking for a long, warm winter skirt suitable for wearing to my ultra conservative workplace. No such skirt to be found, except for ONE with some ugly embroidery on the bottom. I was tempted to buy a pair of Coach sunglasses (in a logo embellished case) for $65.00, but I resisted being wooed by the label (and the fact that I need prescription). Come and browse. Ignore the clothes strewn across the racks. If you don't mind the warehouse-like environment, then you might just find that hidden gem you've always wanted, but couldn't afford at retail prices. read more

I've shopped at Nordstrom Rack on and off over the years, and it's not a half bad place. I think it's a bit overrated, and usually don't score a lot of items when I'm here. I came here last night to look for some winter shoes, and the selection was okay. The store itself is fine. Large selection of clothes, shoes, perfumes, and a variety of other items. Prices are okay, but store can be messy and disorganized at times. I surfed through the clothes but really didn't like anything I saw. I ended up buying a pair of boots, but was hoping to walk out with a pair of pants as well, but didn't have any luck. Not on my short list of places I shop, but worth a stop in if you have the time to graze through the racks. Nice selection of items, prices vary (some reasonable, some not), and hours are great. For me, it's touch and go on what I find here, and what it is I'm looking for. I'm always on the hunt for work clothes, household items and other random items. Sometimes I find things, usually I don't. I'm a bit fussy about clothes and how they fit. I can find stuff to wear here, but sometimes the selection is not my cup of tea. The shoe shopping here can be frustrating to say the least, but if you do find something you like and that fits, it was worth the trip. This isn't a new find for me but it will be a new regular stop for clothing. I was searching high and low for some good quality lined leather gloves and on a whim I thought I'd check here. I found a decent pair gloves that were well priced and pretty well made and then while browsing I also found a great tie and some warm boot socks. It's akin to TJ MAXX but far better quality and all around nicer merchandise. The savings are fairly deep and they carry a little of everything but you'll need to wade through it all to find the gems. read more

*This is more like a 3.5 star review* Went to Nordstrom Rack because I had a gift card and I always think of it as a nicer TJ Maxx when I've gone before. This is not my normal Rack I shop at but now it's the one closest to my house. The store is set up just like a normal Nordstrom Rack but I would say this store is much smaller than the other ones I've gone to. Since the store was so small everything felt very cramped and messy. It was very difficult to see any organization and even more difficult to navigate through the clothes with other people around you. The selection was fine but it seemed like instead of a wide variety they had multiples of the same thing which was a little frustrating. When I made my purchase it took a normal amount of time and the cashier was friendly at first until I didn't sign up for their card, rewards, or give them my email then she became a little dry and less pleasant. Overall I would say I had a very so-so experience at this location. read more

I've been shopping at this Nordstrom Rack for years. I've never had any issues: their selection is great, the staff is always nice, and the store is clean. Today, however, the staff went above and beyond for me! 12/23... right before Christmas, I decided to venture out knowing the store was probably going to be crazy busy and chaotic. I did my shopping and left... soon to realize I lost my driver's license! I'm leaving to go on a road trip in a couple days so losing my driver's license was super annoying and inconvenient. I called the store and someone answered right away, which shocked me with how busy they are. The gentleman on the phone put me on hold while he checked with a few other people around the store. Another woman got on the phone, as well, to let me know she was also checking. Unfortunately, nobody had turned it in so I gave them my info and asked that they call if anyone found it. A few minutes later, my phone rings, the same gentlemen called me back just to let me know that he personally went to look around the store for it! ARE YOU KIDDING?! So sweet! He said he didn't find it but wanted to let me know that he did go look. Bummer, but I was still super appreciative. A few minutes later again, he calls me back! It's been found! Yaya! Anyway, moral of the story, the team at this store went above and beyond during one of the busiest nights of the year. I appreciate great service like this and I will surely pass on the nice gesture to keep the gratitude and love chain going! Thank you! read more

Unfortunately for my bank account, I am a big fan. It's a wonder I hadn't made it here before now, as many friends had recommended it...but I just thought it would still be too expensive or they wouldn't have stuff in my size (plus). So when I finally did go earlier this week, it was to look for toddler shoes and maybe some long-sleeved shirts for me. The place was extremely busy--which I didn't particularly care for since the racks are quite close together and it's harder to maneuver...but it was a Sunday afternoon, so maybe that was part of it. I briefly checked out the kids clothes, but the stuff (even discounted) was more than I wanted to spend. Sorry, but my kid doesn't need to be a fashionista at 19 months. On the way to toddler shoes, I came across women's shoes, where I proceeded to find a great (comfy) pair of black Cole Haan slip ons for $80...a deal for sure, still more than I would like to spend...but they went in the cart anyway. I at least resisted the same pair in brown. That said, they have a piddly selection of larger women's sizes--there was maybe one side of 1/4 rack of size 11 (same for 10 and I think even 9). Very disappointing. What was even MORE disappointing was the absolute disarray of the kids' shoes. It looked like a tornado went through there and nothing seemed to be in the right size section and it was just a jumbled mess--something I definitely couldn't handle in the mood I was in. It was also the busiest section so I just left. I might try it on a [hopefully] less busy day. Then I saw they actually had a few plus-size racks (definitely not many, though, compared to the rest of the store), and I actually managed to find a few shirts...and a medium-weight rain coat that I've been searching for for like four years. SCORE! I made the rounds of the rest of the store just to check things out, and was hoping to find a plus-size formal dress (getting excited when I saw the signs!) but there selection was quite poor. Lower sizes had a bunch, though. The checkout line moved quickly as all the registers were open, and my cashier was very personable. I will definitely go back on a regular basis just to check out what they have... EDITED TO ADD: I went back and found more women's shoes in larger sizes. I'm not sure why, but they have one small section (right next to the kid's clothes) that are "designer shoes" that have both shoes in the box (as opposed to the normal shoe racks that only have one shoe on the shelf). Does this place ever not have a huge line (we're talking 25 min+)? I feel like I'm at cedar point, only it's not fun. This place is a dump. And they make no efforts to improve the efficiency of their checkout process. In fact, they exacerbate by having a policy to bug every. single. customer. every. single. time. about getting their debit card. Not to mention just an overall sense of urgency lack from the employees. And the people in line are loud and crude and don't seem to mind or value their time. This is the last time I'm coming here. The savings you get is more than offset by the time involved in buying or returning an item (again, if you actually value your time). At least I can use this time in line to write a review (which I never, ever, feel compelled to do anywhere). I could not dislike this store more. Negative 5 stars. read more

Like the TJ Maxx version of Nordstrom. That's a good thing, because I don't go into regular Nordstrom stores. They're outta my league, price-wise. Like Libby mentioned, that the majority of the stuff here won't be quite what you're looking for. You're going to need some time, patience, and an ability not to succumb to sensory overload. The shoes were indeed literally piled on the racks, but I found several pairs of Franco Sarto boots that almost (*almost*) lured me into dropping $80. What I really cleaned up on here, though, were basics. I think right now, around the change of seasons, is probably a good time to go here. I'd been looking for a light summer dress, as well as some tank tops. Check and check. All for very, very cheap - we're talking maybe Target prices here, people. I'm not a big brand person, but I do appreciate some of the nice cuts and quality that can come with certain brands, and there are some great examples here. I was lured into buying a suit (me! a suit!?!), purely by its color, quality, and the fact that it was cheaper than I ever imagined I'd find another suit. The jacket alone would have been worth the dough I spent. Overall, I'm a a fan. It's discount/bargain shopping, so a bit of chaos and digging is par for the course. Nordstrom Rack is just like a Winner's in Canada only with better name brands and lots more shoes! I have a really small foot and I was able to find a pair of couch flats which were reduced twice and then on for 35% off so I got them for 40 bucks! I dislike how all the clothes racks are so close to each other that you don't have room to move around and look. I also dislike all the people that shop sick and sneeze and continue to touch the clothes and go threw the rack after they sneezed on their hands or just directly on the whole rack! The problem with any discount store is there is always thousands of women running around with their heads off and becomes overcrowded and I don't have the patience for waiting in these stupid long lines with only a couple cashiers and it takes forever! Overall this is just your average discount store like any other but with better merchandise and they stock their shelves with new items everyday so be sure to get there early! read more

Nordy Rack is a staple for me, a girl who wants to look good and not pay ticket price for anything if she can get away with it. Miz Mooz at 50% off? Yes please. Michael Kors trench without your enormous mark-up? Give me a hug. To be honest, I usually visit the Rack for three things (two, more recently): shoes, clearance, and their now non-existent Volcom/Roxy/semi California streetwear section. I used to hit them up for jeans, as they are a reliable source for Joe's, Seven for All Mankind, True Religion without the usual price tags, but I have a few local boutiques which produce better prices with seasonal sales. Let's go back to the basics here: Nordstrom Rack is a disorganized temple of shoes, more selectively culled than DSW, but still prone to coming up with gems. As a size 10 -- sometimes 9.5, sometimes that dreaded 11 - designers, MAKE up your minds and standardize, please! -- I have to often despair that the same selection available in 7s and 8s will ever reach my picked over section. Troy's selection was decent, though conspicuously lacking in higher end designers, running shoes, and boots at this time of year. Unfortunate, but I wait with baited breath all the same for my opportunity to peruse with great abandon in a few weeks. The shoes really do have something for everyone. What whacks two stars off this Nordstrom: .5: Disorganized and disorderly: Finding anything in the clothing section is a pain in the posterior, and I am constantly dismayed by the mismanaged sizes, styles, and brands. This is due in part to the laissez-faire attitude of shoppers who just don't care but NR could certainly afford to hire some more sales staff whose sole job it is to make sure that coats are with coats, and XS doesn't keep sneaking into size large. Doubly, the racks are very difficult to maneuver between because they are overstuffed and spread just wide enough for Casper the Friendly Ghost to get between. .5: Clothes are a dead loss: I don't see very many interesting styles, brands, or things I actually want to wear here. Why is that? Oh Nordstrom, your *store* carries enough I lust after but I don't need ugly Free People t-shirts. Give us some more? 1: Those Line Ups: I consistently never see more than two registers open even at the peak of a busy period, like Saturday. What's with that? Nordstrom Rack is definitely a place to be if your looking for discount price clothing. I haven't really bought clothes from this store since I find that T.J. Maxx/Marshall'S/Burlington Coat Factory tend to have similar clothing but at even cheaper prices. However, I would definitely recommend checking out the accessories like watches, jewelery for women and other knick knacks. I found a stellar Fossil which costs $150.00 on sale for $29.99. You just got to have the patience to look around and don't be disappointed if you come once and you don't find anything. Just come back in another time and try again. read more

Fufilling my promise to write a bad Yelp review after they would not return some boots I purchased because I wore them once but they hurt my feet so terribly that they were unwearable.. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the condition of them but because there was slight dust on the bottom because I wore them once they wouldn't return, even though I was trying to exchange them for a more expensive shoe. Bottom line, I was trying to save money and now Im out $130 dollars for some boots I can't wear. Honestly everything there has some sort of problem with it whether it be they are uncomfortable, have some alteration or imperfection, or are poorly made. You are better off just shopping at Somerset and paying full price but then you actually get Quality Merchandise and CUSTOMER SERVICE. Peace read more

First time coming here this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a size 12 in shoes and Nordstrom's has been the ONLY department store that actively carries shoe sizes for women up to 14. And not just the craptacular orthopedic granny shoes that seem to permeate the extended sizes, but actually CUTE and name brand shoes. Didn't even know UGG made 12's or Sperry! There were lots to look at and I like the variety, but I wasn't a fan of how cramped the shoe area is. There's plenty of room to expand the shoe area where you don't need all that room on the floor, but oh well. Checkout was an issue for me. Apparently most people tend to pay in cash so you have to wait for a register, but if you're paying with a card the sales associates have these satellite stations and can just swipe you then and there on the floor and you're off. Would have been nice to know before I waited in line. Other than that, I enjoyed the many shoe options and would definitely come back. read more

I don't come here super often, but when I am searching for some shoe deals, and I have the patience to battle the crowds, I will come here. Ironically, most of the time when Husband and I come here, he walks out with stuff more often than me. Lol Perhaps because there's fewer options for men, and therefore, much easier to thumb through and digest? Anyway, I digress. Finding shoes here used to be an annoying process because you had to find the so-called shoe mate. I'm so glad to see that they have eliminated that whole process, so you can try them on without the wait! Yay! Also, I am happy to see that they are trying to alleviate the checkout line length by offering checkout at separate counters. You have to find the employees that have fanny packs on, and that way you won't have to queue up in that long line. What I don't get is, why aren't people utilizing this great feature? They even wear bright green t-shirts saying this! Strange folks. Anyhow, if you are looking for a tranquil shopping environment, this place is definitely not it. However, if you have the patience and a lot of time, and want a good deal, Nordstrom Rack will make you happy. This place had potential years ago, now I literally want to shoot myself when I come in. The lines here are always long and move so slow!! The clothing is a hodgepodge of disorganized cheap things not even worth the prices, and forget shoes. I stopped in this time just to see if they had 1 item. I left 5 minutes after going in. I will gladly pay full price at Macys or Nordstrom to avoid the chaos of this store. If you love spending 3 hours in a thrift store, then come here to pay more for the same garbage clothing. With any store like this, it just depends on the day. I've had days where the selection was amazing and I've found a bunch of bargains. And I've had days where I walk around, don't find a thing, get annoyed and leave empty handed. But I'd say I've had more days that fall somewhere in the middle. Shoes are the thing I come here for the most and I've found and bought all sorts of shoes here over the years for myself, my husband and my toddler. Occasional finds in the women's and men's clothing sections. Good selection of ties. You have to be willing to dedicate some time to search for the bargains. Love this place. I love the extended women's shoe sizes they offer. Kids shoes are nice as well. Great finds for decent prices. They change the layout of the store often. The shoe area is not roomy at all! Customer service is usually good but I went yesterday wasn't greeted when I approached the cashier. I asked how he was and there was no response. I purchased a pair pants from the store and tried to return them the next day after finding out they were a size too small and had a couple deficiencies. The store looked over the pants and blame the deficiencies on me and stated that they wouldn't return them, even though I had purchased them less than 24 hours before attempting to return. Like most nordie's racks, it's the perfect place to go for band name cute amazingly beautiful shoes. i found a pair of coach shoes for 100 and it was perfect for work. it's also the perfect place to go if you're in desperate need of a new bag. they have lots of michael kors coach purses for amazingly low prices. however, here are a few things i just can't stand. 1. the extremely disorganized clothing section is very hard to go through. 2. the clothes they have are very unimpressive. i've never found anything cute and well-made for the price they mark as. 3. the lines. omg the lines. you just have to evaluate your items: is this worth standing in line for? 4. the music. i don't know why all nordstrom racks just love to play crappy music. nordstrom has a decent taste in music. but how come the racks just have to end up in some shania twain crap? read more

I called this store when my local Rack didn't have an item in my size. I was told this location had 7 of this item, so there would be a good chance they had my size. The person who answered the phone was very polite and thanked me for calling before they transferred me to the women's department. The person in the women's department was also VERY friendly, and found out what I was looking for and looked for me. She came back to the phone quickly, and even though they didn't have my size either I was very happy with their service, she then transferred me to another store so I could ask them. read more

First time in the store this evening and I will never go back. I understand high theft and how everyone is alert, but when the staff is blatantly watching and following it makes for an extremely uncomfortable shopping experience. Staff members fixing the same items in the bin next to you, over and over again. You catch them look at you a few times, and I even commented "you all must have high theft here?" you walk away...then they walk away. You wanna leave but you still need items so you try to overlook it. You get in line, now all of a sudden the same staff member is watching you from behind the counter, accomplishing no tasks at all. I pay, ask to speak to the manager, glance at security, whos now also starring a hole into my face. Unnecessary. Put sensors on all your shit. Stop harassing customers. "Terrible Customer Service and Return Polciy!" - While shopping, I noticed a $400.00 pair of Magnanni shoes priced down to $179.97. I was in need of a new pair of dress shoes so o figured that they were a steal! I purchased the shoes on 6/14/16 and I wore them for the first time on 6/19/16. I realized today that the leather on toes of the shoes was absolutely shriveled off! As anyone else would do, I returned to the store and attempted to return them. The clerk immediately said "Nope, I can't take those back!" Without even looking at them thoroughly. She then continued to call me a liar and told me that she's "dealt with people like me before". What does that mean? She took them to the manager and without the manager even coming out to confront me, the clerk returned saying "There's no tags, we can't return them, bye bye!" I told her no one wears shoes with the tags on and showed her the glue from the tags is still there! She didn't bother to look and continued saying "I've seen this gimmick before, bye bye". Me being a gentlemen, I told her I'd contact the store manager and left while her co-worker apologized to me for her incompetence. Not impressed at all. Went there a couple of weeks ago and spent a few hundred which is an average visit. The guy would checked us out was flighty and distracted. He missed not one but two security tags. No we didn't hear the alarms go off when we left (did you think I'd drive all the way home had we known?). Finally was able to find time in our very busy schedule to rerun there today and all the manager could do was tilt her head and give me pouty face "sorry". Puh. Terrible customer service. Absolutely awful online shopping cart system and most employees who answer the phone don't know what they're doing. I tried to order 2 coats online. I provided address, credit card information and a Nordstrom gift card info. Couldn't press 'Place Order' link. I called numerous times spending well over 1.5 hours to buy these two coats. No one could help. They give excuse that maybe it's Safari browser. I tried IE and Firefox and both had the same problem. Finally, I spoke to 'Mary' and she helped me. Only shopping cart in history that asks for credit card information at checkout BUT you're not supposed to enter it there. You are supposed to enter it in your account information. Even when I entered it in apparently in the wrong place, I got a message that it was saved successfully. If It wasn't for Mary who was very helpful, I would be SOL getting these coats. No one could take my order over the phone. No one else could help and it's the worst shopping cart I've ever seen! Hopefully, they fit and I won't have a hassle with a return process, if required. Can't imagine anyone else wasting this much time to buy something online. In a second, they could have easily been at another website. You'd think Nordstrom would know that. read more
