I have liked Chico's clothes for a long time. I've been to the store a few times since my last review. Sometimes, I am offered help and others have been totally ignored. There is usually someone who will offer to start a dressing room for you which is helpful. Their sizes are different than most places, going from 0 to 4 with sometimes there being a .5 at the end of the number. For someone not familiar with their clothes, it is helpful to know how the size compares to typical sizes. They usually have things on sale in a marked area by size and color. Those not on sale are divided by color typically. In the rear of the store are the clothes called energy which are more casual and I really like them a lot. In the rest of the store, it is the Chicos name. I often find something there I can't live without and unfortunately, not always on sale. The quality is very good and they last for a long time. I honestly didn't imagine I'd be writing a review when we popped in here just for a super quick scan of their formal shirts after seeing one in the window we liked. But after our experience, this location absolutely deserves 5 stars! The staff here really showed interest in helping me find the perfect thing for the occasion I was in the market for an outfit for, grabbing different options, sizes and offering honest and kind feedback along the way. They were notably nice, laughing and smiling the whole time and were honestly so encouraging. I left with some shirts and a little more confidence too! read more

Tucson Casa Adobe Chico's I have experienced a change in Chico's in the several years I have accompanied friends who are "regular" shoppers. It has occurred to me several times - enough to see, and more importantly "feel" a difference. When I have been alone I can walk around the store for 15 minutes and no one has asked me "the golden question"......"May I start a room for you?" This, I, wondered....was it just me thinking, and I was imagining things? Until it happened the next time. And it made me uncomfortable enough not to want to come back. My friend in her generosity, gave me a rather substantial Gift Certificate to Chico's and I appreciated the gift....and in I went. Again, no one approached me. I was dressed very well....as always. And Customer after Customer were greeted with a "Hello! May I start a room for you?" I had several items in the arms......and still no one came to me. Was I not a serious buyer? I had items draped over my arm.....What then was the issue? I was offended. I took my items to the register and asked to speak to the Manager. "Is there a problem I can help you with?" asked the sale clerk? No, thank you. I need the Manager, i replied in the nicest of tones. She arrived after the clerk spoke into her microphone......saying she is the tall lady at the from in the hat. That's Me! I told her my impression of my last THREE visits......and told her I was more than surprised. I stood there with my "hefty" gift certificate......and then she said......"May I start a room for you?" I have a bag I wear for gastroparesis. I usually keep it hidden and it is very sanitary. I went in to Chicos to purchase a couple items the other day and the lady was so mean and rude and told me how disgusting I was and how terrible it was to have me there to "mess up clothing." I will never go back and my sisters won't won't shop there now and neither will my friends. I normally do not let stuff like this bother me, but this was really an embarrassing moment for myself and for all others that have disabilities they cannot help. read more

Steer clear if you have a disability! My family member was treated terribly. Because of her disability she was told she couldn't try on clothes and was asked to buy something or go. She was told that her clothes were too long and if she fell it was her fault! My family member is very sick and unable to put on weight. This was absolutely horrific! read more

My wife and I went in this store yesterday to shop for slacks for an upcoming event. We were greeted by the manager upon entering the store but, had to ask for assistance several times as we were looking for a specific color and type of slacks and were unfamiliar with the current inventory. My wife was shown what she needed, then was nicely introduced to the employee in the dressing room. Her assistance was friendly, but not very helpful. My wife handed me the slacks she wanted and started to wander the store to just browse. I took the slacks, and went to the checkout. There were two women working there, but no customers. Both women made no effort to acknowledge me or try to help me. I actually had to say "excuse me " for one of them to make eye contact. I just wanted to ask if they could hold on the pants while we continued shopping. She barely waved at me to put them on the counter and I left the area. Fifteen minutes later I returned to same checkout area. Again, the same women do not greet me or make eye contact! I just stand there. There is no one else around. As I'm beginning to realize that they have no intention in helping me, another customer steps up in front of the other woman, and she is immediately greeted and taken care of! You could imagine how humiliating this felt! I turned around and saw the manager walking by and she asked if I needed something and I said "yes! I need to not be ignored!" She apologized and took me across the store to different registers. We finished up and left, angry and beyond disappointed with a company that I've done business with for two decades. So is this particular store anti-LGBTQ? Or, are they equally rude to everyone with short hair? We were nothing but happy shoppers yesterday, until we were marginalized and minimized by this staff! read more

New staff! Wonderful, as the Travelers Collection wears like iron! Have the black pants that I've worn at least 2-3 times per week to work since 2000 (no kidding.) Had to buy new ones as have lost weight. Light and easy to travel. Dressy & no wrinkles! Have traveled with them to 7 countries and always look great! Highly recommended. read more

I am a walking advertisement for many of Chico's quality clothes, belts and jewelry. It is a woman's clothing store. I never thought of myself as a clothes horse, but when Chico's has sales, you can score big. And, so I have scored big, as my closet (and my very understanding husband) can attest. I also am a Passport member, which you become when you first buy a certain amount. Then, all purchases after that get an additional 5% off. Nice perk. I get a lot of compliments for many of the items I purchased at Chico's. The clothes are pretty much contemporary styles, esp. for the middle-aged and up women. Here's what you want to know about Chico's to be a smart shopper: Know that Chico's coordinates a lot of their clothes and colors, so you can create really versatile matching outfits. If you travel (or even if you don't), check out the Traveler's line (synthetics that wash and are light and coordinate well with lots of their clothing). Jackets: Chico's has a lot of really classy or artsy jackets. There is something for everyone. I have my share. A jacket can class up a basic top and pants, and just add some jewelry or a scarf and you are in business! Belts: I think every woman needs at least one Chico's belt. Why? They are really fashionable, and VERSATILE/FUNCTIONAL.By that, I mean that many of them are adjustable. That is a great feature as female hormones and/or one's diet may cause a waist to increase or decrease periodically. I have probably 5-7 belts from Chico's, purchased over time. They are well-made and adjustable, and have really wonderful hardware or clasps (whatever you call 'ems). Jewelry: Chico's has become quite the jewelry provider. And they make pieces to match their clothes. The salesfolks are really helpful in helping you assessorize with jewelry and belts. I have necklaces long and short, simple and complicated, earrings, bracelets from Chico's and I really love wearing all of them. And gals, that is part of the secret to looking chic. It's those assessories. People seem to really notice the Chico's attire and jewelry/belts when I wear them (they say nice things!). So go to Chico's and get a few classics with some pizzazz, that will last you years and jazz up your wardrobe in ways you can't imagine! The salespeople can help you create outfits out of a few pieces of clothing and jewelry that you can mix and match. If you have any doubt that I like Chico's, just know that at any given moment, I probably have on one or more than one item from Chico's. I find that so amusing! I absolutely love Chico's, their cloths are made for real women and fit beautifully. I can't get enough of them. This is the first clothing line I have found that truly is made to flatter women and have sizes that fit a wide variety of women. As a professional I have look the part so I count on Chico's styles and quality to provide me with the look I want. The styles are both modern and classic, they are chic and well made. I am constantly complimented on the outfits I wear and ladies ask where I shop. Bet you can guess where I send them. I love the Travelers line because it is so versitle, stylish, comfortable and easy care. So, if you do any amount of traveling it's a must. Some of my other favorites are the So Slimming line and Slim-leg jeans (they do exactly that, make you look slimmer) you can dress them up or down with the wide variety of styles in jackets and tops that Chico's offers. I can honestly say I haven't bought a single item that I don't love, wear all the time and constantly get rave reviews about how I look, LOVE, LOVE,LOVE that part, makes you feel sooo good. It's such fun to visit the store on Oracle Road, Ann, Kathy and all the ladies at that store are great, they take such good care of me, call me by name and make me feel like family. They have helped me appreciate the value of scarves and belts which I never thought much about wearing in the past, now I have quite a collection of belts and I'm working on the scarves. Those gals definately have a knack for helping their customers walk out looking like a fashion plate. Thank you for all you do and helping me become proud to walk out of the door to go to work in the morning. I have a closet full of Chicos. For the most part their clothes are good quality and a good fit for me. There are exceptions, of course. I usually shop at the Oracle Store and online. The sales associates at the Oracle store have always been very helpful and courteous to me. I do not like to be smothered by an associate when I shop, I prefer to find what I want and hand it to an associate to take to a dressing room then check me out when I am ready or find another size, etc. This is exactly what I get at the Oracle store. Found a pair of slacks at this Chicos location when visiting Tucson from Maryland. Tried to place my order through them to Chicos central by phone and was EXTREMELY frustrated as the staff was just learning a new sales register system. Must have repeated my information TEN times!! Finally thought they got my order right, but when I returned home 2 weeks later, no slacks!! Had to call them and talk to THREE different people!! Turns out they don't have the slacks & are going to issue me a credit. I had to CALL to find all this out!! AVOID this location! The sales staff is inept!! read more
