Seriously...The Fashion Cleaners seamstress saved my wedding day! I was so stressed out about finding someone to alter my dress with only a week to go before the big that I practically resolved to dealing with dress as is. I happened to be picking up a cake next door when I decided to pop my head into the seamstress building across the parking lot from the cleaners. I asked if there was any way to expedite wedding alterations by the end of the week. She must have sensed my anxiety because she said she was willing to do a rush job for me and have my dress ready for Friday pick up if I bring the dress in the next day. SOLD! The following day I came in with my dress and heels in hand. I tried on the dress as she pinned away at the areas I wanted brought up. She wrote my ticket up and said that I can drop the dress and ticket off next door and it'll be ready for pick up on Friday. I was so relieved. One less thing to stress over before the wedding. Friday afternoon came and I so happy to pick up the dress. The alterations were made as we discussed and the dress was pressed and ready to go. I paid the $95 fee..honestly I think I would have happily paid any amount to knock that big ticket item off my to do list. Thought I finally find a place to take my items. It was quite awful. I dropped them off and they let me know it would be ready in 2 days. I picked them up today since it was the first day I could get there and I get my items home and they are still wrinkled. I had 2 slacks and 1 dress. Had some dryer issues so needed to get some laundry done. Staff is friendly and answered all my questions. Parking lot attached to store which is very convenient especially for the South Lake area. The cost of fluff and fold laundry was a little more than some places but, they did a great job, next day service. Bonus, they have tootsie rolls at the counter. read more

Don't waste your money for alterations here. Rip off city! I have been getting alterations here for awhile and the price was always quite high. I over looked the high costs because it was conveniently located on my way home from work. I recently brought in a vest and a suede jacket to have them both taken in. Very simple routine. The seamstress Marium said that the other employee Pamela would call me later with a quote. She quoted $40 for the vest and $215 for the jacket. I declined the ridiculous quote but she had already started the vest. I accepted. I never complained about the cost in the past and the seamstress felt that she could take advantage of me. Very dishonest people. I brought the suede jacket to PUAC Tailor shop in Alhambra. This professional establishment performed the alteration on my suede jacket for $35 instead of the $215 that Fashion quoted me. A difference of $180.00. And it came out perfectly. PUAC said that he would have charged me $5 for the vest. I paid $40 at Fashion Cleaners. Never again will I go back to Fashion Cleaners. You live and learn. read more

HORRIBLE CLEANERS!!! ****DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!*** i dropped off a skirt and when i was told my pieces were ready I came back and the skirt was visibly NOT CLEANED!!! -*****The women working there acknowledged it hadn't been cleaned**** i said i was happy to pay for the items and asked her to please clean the skirt and I would come back for it once it was cleaned. I asked to not have to pay for the skirt as it was NOT CLEANED the first time and now i would have to make a second trip back. The woman was rude and refused to give me a number of someone to speak to about it. I spoke to three different people regarding this and they all said they would get back to me and never did. Finally I just spoke to a manager and he yelled at me and cut me off several times. I had to keep asking him to not yell at me. This is terrible customer service and horrible treatment. For dry cleaning, I wouldn't recommend them if your clothes have any stains or discoloration. VERY overpriced for the poor service rendered. Since they nearly made a hole in the fabric (next to the stain, not even ON the stain) I tried getting the stain out myself since I had nothing to lose and it worked perfectly. Now I just have a thinning hole in the shirt. Will NEVER go back. Do not think they can get stains out better than you can. Please avoid. They'll put holes in your clothes AND your wallet. read more

Got the tailoring done here and they were very convenient to my house. We were comparing other tailors around Pasadena and here had consistent good reviews to trust my expensive suit I bought before. Miriam was our tailor and she had been working for the past 10 years, and was very nice and helpful in getting the suit to be more tucked in and fitted (I lost about 20 lbs since I first bought it 3 years ago). I've been using this place since I moved to Pasadena about a year ago. The hours agreed with me, even though they were more expensive than most places. I typically left dress shirts and suits for cleaning. There were issues though, I'd notice that sometimes the collars would still be dirty, as if all they did was press the shirt. Another time, I was returned a shirt that had a tag attached to a stain stating they were unable to remove the stain without causing damage to the shirt (really, that stain made the shirt unwearable anyway). Funny thing is I didn't remember being there, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, my latest experience was unacceptable. I dropped off a suit for cleaning and when I picked it up yesterday, I checked it for stains and what not and went on my way. I went to wear said suit today and noticed that one of my buttons on my 2 button suit had a chunk missing. Literally missing. Like someone took an iron and burned part of the button off leaving a straight line. Now, to reiterate, this is a suit button, so it's pretty thick and would take a fair amount of effort to saw off. This was clearly burned off as the edge was smooth. Essentially, I paid the not-so-arguably high price of $16.25 to have them burn a quarter of a very visible button off. I thought about going in and complaining, but thought better of it. I don't anticipate they would do anything to resolve my issue and it's not like I would leave it with them to replace the buttons if they offered. tldr: BURNED part of a suit button clear off, has in the past returned shirts still dirty and may have created stains on one occasion. Uncharacteristically, I didn't check yelp before taking my clothes here. The woman who took my clothes had an IQ of about 30. Speaking of 30, it cost $30 for two items, and they were NOT clean when returned to me. The whole point of taking them was because they had stains, which I explained in detail when dropping them off. I had cut my finger and bled all over a beautiful light blue fabric. The unfriendly lady handed me them and I looked - stains still there. She said that if I wanted them to remove any stains, I would have to sign a special waiver absolving them of any liability whatsoever. Sound suspicious to you? I am trying this place for the first time for some pants and a suit jacket. I tried using a $10 off coupon, but did not have the minimum purchase required, which I guess is a good thing, as I was not wanting to spend $40 on dry cleaning. Something to consider is that they will repair buttons on your clothing for free, but not seams. I find this very convenient, as I am not a good at sewing, and can barely thread a needle with glasses anymore. In addition, if you pay ahead, the owner will give you a 3% discount on your dry cleaning. I pick up my clothing today, so am hoping the dry cleaning comes back the same way as I brought it, with improvements to my buttons! read more

Dropped off a shirt that I needed to launder, just so I get out a stain and get it back wrinkle free on a Friday. Was told it wouldn't be ready til Tuesday. One shirt laundered takes 4 days for a place that claims to be open 7 days a week? Talked them into Monday. They gave me a one hour window. After 5pm but before 6. When I finally got the shirt back, the stain was still there. No discount or refund was offered. $7 for a laundered shirt that wasn't laundered. read more

This is my friendly neighborhood dry cleaners. The people working there are friendly and it's a block from where I live, so when I say friendly and neighborhood, I mean the real deal. They do good work, too. I don't exactly have a whole lot that needs dry cleaning, but whatever I've taken in has come back clean, pressed right, and quickly. (I haven't used it, but I think I saw signs for same-day service in the windows.) Shirt laundry is very good. In my book, that means they understand the meaning of "light starch." Sometimes I've been too lazy to do my own laundry and dropped off my stuff for the fluff & fold. That came back right, too, and for not even that much money (considering what it costs to do a few loads of laundry in the machines in the building I live in.) Fashion's not a cleaners you should drive 20 miles for, but, if you live in the area, you'll be pleased with their work. You should even be pleased with their prices. read more
