Of course I had done some damage to my natural lashes and had pulled out a good bit of my natural lashes by applying and taking off my false lashes day in and day out, but I still couldn't believe how amazing she made my natural lashes with the extensions look. The environment of the boutique was relaxing, extremely clean and very friendly! So after my first visit we worked out a plan of attack as far as how often i would come back to have them filled and the steps to taking care of them. I went back for a second visit and it was the opposite. I had an appointment but it was rushed to accommodate walk ins. The entire process was rushed. The tech didn't fully remove my prior manicure, just filed it down a little then painted over it. My nails were cut to uneven lengths and then filed crooked. I asked to fix it a few times before I gave up. The nail polish was applied unevenly and the tech didn't wait for the full uv cycle to finish before going to the next coat. The tech also painted far from the cuticle so it looks like I already have a week of grow out not that it's a fresh manicure. No surprise, it started peeling off two days later.

I found a groupon for Mary and decided to give it a try. She was so warm and welcoming from the first time I talked with her. We set up an appointment, where she explained electrolysis 101 and got started right away. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled!! It was so nice to have someone explain the entire process to me, what exactly she'd be doing and how it works to get rid of hair. (Side note: did you know that electrolysis is the only *permanent* hair removal method?? Not laser! I had no idea.) Mary's Fort Mill studio is clean, simply and beautifully decorated, and is designed to put you at ease. I think she also has a home office, but it's further from me so I haven't been there. Ok, I'll be honest here: electrolysis is no walk in the park. It hurts like a b*tch. But Mary is so sweet and will adjust the settings to make sure it's manageable for you. She also has numbing cream you can buy in sample packs for a small fee. Plus, Mary is quick! So even though it's painful, she gets a lot done in a short amount of time. Electrolysis is a commitment.
