    Spicy salmon and spicy tuna
    Mark T.

Two things I find myself saying quite often: 1. Expectations define experiences 2. Everything is relative For a kiosk in a mall food court, the bar is not set very high. I have to give them credit for cranking out sushi at an impressive rate. Especially when working in the mall, and have a 30-minute meal break, spending as few of those as possible waiting for food is ideal. Kudos there. The sushi itself was alright. The fish was ground and mixed with sauce as opposed to being in solid pieces and sauce added on top. As such, the fish wasn't really given a chance to shine through. Furthermore, I found it hard to determine where salmon was and where tuna was. (The camera in my phone seems to pick up on the colors better than my eyes were.) All in all, gets the job done when you want a quick bite that is heathier than fast food. If you're searching for great sushi, you might have to look elsewhere.

I gotta say for mall sushi - A solid 5/5 stars omg idk if i was just so hungry or the food was in fact bussin bussin but omg it was delicious. They have takoyakis now and lemme tell you the balls were probably the best I've tried, even comparing to more upscale Japanese restaurants!! Lots of octopus pieces and they seemed fresh and the dough was so well seasoned and well made. Like so good like idk aah i gotta go back. And ofc i had to get sushi so I decided to try their spicy girl rolls and woowee im now a spicy girl stan for life. If you happen to be at the mall food court and ur not feeling sarku japan, please try this place out. Service was not bad, we were here on a very busy Saturday night and i got my food in 10 mins ish :)

Every time I go to the plaza I stop here to get sushi! I didn't even know they had these bowls before but it was delicious. Nori never disappoints.

I haven't stopped by SSP food court in ages and I'm so happy I discovered Nori sushi! The moment we walked up we were squinting to read the menu and the young lady at the register quickly handed us a paper menu. They literally have it all. We were so shocked to see their sushi combos for such a great price! This menu was pretty straight forward and so easy to read. I loved how organized it was. My boyfriend and I shared the 2 rolls- we ordered the shrimp tempura and spicy tuna roll. Any two rolls for $11 any time or day? Now that's a steal! The wait time was wasn't bad either. We were craving sushi and we got out fix. Definitely not the BEST sushi we've had, but for mall sushi this was great!

This spot is located in the mall and is actually really good. At first I was skeptical about getting sushi in the mall and now it's one of my favorites spots when I come to the mall. They have a lot of affordable options and make it fresh. I usually get the 3 cooked roll combo and get 2 tempura rolls. Definitely recommend this place if you're having second thoughts, it's worth a try!

Ordered sushi here at the South Shore Plaza. Quite frankly, there are a lot of Sushi bars at the SSP. And quite honestly, Nori Sushi is below decent. The lady was very friendly, though it takes them 10 minutes to make the food in front of you. The rice fell apart when I tried mine. The sushi wasn't that special, the drinks were overpriced. Wasn't a pleasant visit at Nori Sushi. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. 2 stars is very generous.

Got a combo plate, not worth the price. The menu didn't say anything about the spicy tuna roll coming with cucumber.

This place is not good and charges way too much for the portion and quality of food you get. I got a combo plate that had spicy tuna roll and 4 pieces of random sushi. On the menu it didn't say anything about the spicy tuna roll coming with anything but there was cucumber in it. I didn't like the spicy tuna roll that much. The 4 pieces of random sushi were tuna, shrimp and salmon nigiri and some other weird tuna ball thing. The nigiri wasn't bad, I actually liked the salmon one. I also got the shrimp tempura which tasted good. It was $5 for 3 small pieces which was a bit too expensive for the portion size. On the menu it failed to mention the shrimp tempura coming with sauce on it but there was sauce on it. I wouldn't eat here again. I do recommend sushi cafe at the Providence place mall though if you want sushi while mall shopping.

Shrimp Tempura and Sweet Potato Rolls

Yet another delicious trip to Nori! I can confidently confirm that their sweet potato rolls are some of the best that I have ever had. I also think it is better to stick with their cooked rolls, as I was more impressed with my Tempura Roll from this visit than from the Alaska Roll that I ordered before. The batter-fried shrimp was flavorful, and still warm. Yumm!!! Great work, Nori! Who knew you could find such yummy sushi inside a mall food court?

I've been getting my sushi here for the past year and it's delicious, and always fresh. Because only one guy makes the sushi, their not that quick, but it's definitely worth the wait. My personal favorite is the Nori Sushi.

While my order was in route, the restaurant called and informed me that my driver forgot the hot items. Before I could even feel an ounce of disappointment and without prompt I was asked for my address as well as phone number and their delivery guy brought my ramen! No extra charge, and when I tried to give him a tip, he politely declined. THAT is platinum level of customer service. And to top it off, the sushi was delicious...I cannot wait to heat up and try the ramen. Highly suggest, if I could give more stars I would!

I recently wrote a review for the 'Hot & New' Omori in Quincy. While I am not a detractor of Omori,…read morethe experience there left something to be desired. This is due to some creative decisions I disagree with and, at times, very little eel. Meanwhile, Sake Japanese Restaurant hits just the right spot! The creative decisions were excellent, with everything coming together splendidly. The fish was fresh and in more than generous amounts. This, in turn, makes the cost of about $20 per roll seem reasonable and makes it much easier to stomach (I didn't intend the pun, but I will own it). Regarding the Holiday and the Kevin Page, these maki rolls are similar. Both shine with the white fish on top and generous amounts of tuna (and salmon in the Holiday's case) within. The eel and cucumber add a pleasant new dimension to the pieces. I'd say these two are like identical twins adopted by different families. Each will have some unique personality and flair, but at the core, they are one. The crazy tuna brought something different to the table. While I am generally not a fan of the chopped-up style of fish, here it just works, and I didn't mind it. If I were to guess, this is because many places have more tempura than fish and add too much spicy mayo. Despite the style, the tuna was still able to shine through. For the inside, I enjoyed the crunch and freshness of the cumber with the sweetness and savory notes from the eel. Finally, the service was polite and speedy, though it wasn't bustling. Thus, not only would I happily return to Sake, but I would love to order the same three rolls again, for they were *that* good.

The service was good, our waiter just seemed a bit rushed since he pretty much was the only person servicing the section of the restaurant where we were. The meat was cut too thick! one example, the beef tongue was cut way too thick, I'm sure you guys know how unpleasant it is to bite into a rubbery thick piece of tongue. Onto the broth, I dont have a problem paying for broth, but at least have the broth be good. This broth wasn't, and also they use way too much MSG in the broth. How do I know? .... erm, just the usual symptoms of being crazy thirsty after our meal. Wasn't just me, but everyone in the group had the same symptoms. That's about it.... Honestly the sushi was just okay. Nothing tasted particularly fresh or flavorful. It all kind of blended together into a forgettable pile of rice. The one bright spot was the peking maki which is basically a peking duck roll and it was genuinely good. That thing saved the meal. The seaweed salad was like half daikon. I didn't sign up for that. Service was pretty bad too. Nobody checked back on us the whole time. You'd think after dropping a bunch of rolls on the table they'd at least swing by once, but nope.
