Very fresh and great tasting sushi, the restaurant inside is kind of small but they're able to adjust the tables to accommodate groups from what I saw at least 6 people. My order came out in about 10 minutes which was pretty good considering the restaurant was almost full and there were a few groups that ordered around the same time as me. Fuji is one of my go-to sushi spots in Quincy, for casual lunch or dinner! Literally cannot go wrong with anything you order from here. It's a smaller restaurant with room for a few tables, so not ideal for bigger parties but great for tables of 2-4. Prices are unbeatable for the quality and quantity, & fish is always fresh + they never skimp. For lunch, I like to take advantage of their lunch specials. My favorite thing to order is their L6B: 3 maki roll combo, which comes with miso soup & salad. This combo in particular includes spicy tuna roll, sake/salmon roll, & una/eel-avocado roll. Was in the area after an IKEA trip and stopped by here for a nice evening meal. First off, the area is beautiful and right by the water. The ambiance of this establishment is a lot more posh and refined than Fuji in Medford (not a bad thing). We walked in and we're able to sit right away, even as we approached the dinner rush. We started off with miso soup and shrimp tempura. Miso was great and warmed us up before we crunched down on the tempura. The shrimp tempura has a very generous portion size - so much so that we were not able to tackle the entree of sushi and beef udon for long. The Philly maki sushi was as expected. Very good. The beef udon is the winner of the dinner. This was a great dish and I wish we had more stomach to eat this at the time but we're filled from the shrimp tempura. Wanted a light lunch so me and my wife walked by to try some sashimi and apps. Positives: the Naruto was refreshing , the price point is very fair. The hokkai yaki shell was good. Negatives: now I've had the regular sushi here in the past and it's pretty decent for its price point. But this time I had the sashimi. The toro was cut into 6 thin slices but it was kinda of stringy. The tuna in the picture also had that tough stringy feeling. Also normally I like my sashimi fairly cold and it was just below room temperature. I'm guessing their sauces and combination sushis were decent because it can cover up the quality of the fish. My family has been going to Fuji for almost two decades and it has literally been our go to spot for sushi. Some of my favorite dishes from here are the dragon roll, volcano roll, and hotate hokkaiyaki which are all outstanding dishes. The dragon roll is perfectly balanced with the crunch of tempura flakes and the sweet, savory sauce drizzled on top. The volcano roll topped with a spicy mayo sauce and a mixture of seafood, is equally delicious and probably my favorite item here. Lastly, the hotate hokkaiyaki is something we always order when we get here! The atmosphere of the restaurant was also noteworthy. Despite its small size, Fuji had a cozy and welcoming vibe. The staff were friendly and attentive. Finally the price here is beyond reasonable and can't be beat for the quality of sushi you're getting. They also have dine in but the space is limited so not a good option if you have more than 4 people in your group. The prices here are very reasonable compared to other places, and they haven't raised their prices much for online ordering, which is great! They also have platters and specials so that you can get some variety if you don't want to order a la carte. I usually only eat cooked sushi and I can always find good options. I recommend the hokkai yaki, hamachi kama, dragon roll, volcano maki and rising sun maki. I also feel like I can't always find inari and tamago sushi at other places so happy Fuji has both. I went in with my wife and 3 kids - it was chaotic when we got there ... there were 30+ people outside waiting for to-go. When we entered they were happy to accommodate us with a table but it needed to be cleaned. I peaked over and the server was spraying the table with a yellow can - I assumed it was Lysol .... seemed weird. When we sat down the table wreaked of pledge furniture polish !!!! And that's exactly what they were cleaning the tables with. Needless to say the service and the food was an abomination. Their cleaning protocol is actually against the law and if the board of health went in ... they would be shut down immediately. Wow .... if your looking for a good way to get COVID .... this is the place. I hate writing bad reviews but this place warrants it. read more

My recent experience this year was through take out, which was not to my expectations. My coworkers and I ordered from the lunch specials and had the food delivered to our store. The delivery guy came quicker than expected which was good, but the sushi combo I had ordered definitely looked a bit sad. The rolls were limpy and small. It was a good price for three rolls of sushi plus a salad and soup though. My coworkers each ordered bento boxes (salmon and eel) which they both liked.
