Have to put your car up to change the wheels (of course every one does) that will be an extra charge. Oh you need your tires to actually be balanced after the wheels are put on, that will be a charge too. Oh and you want air in the tires, that will be an extra charge (semi-kidding on that last one) but seriously to just fix a wheel scrape it seemed reasonable (like $100-$200) then the extra charges almost doubled that price so I would pass and it's honestly cheaper to just buy a new wheel somewhere else and have them put it on...seriously they are that over priced. Do they know their stuff (seems like they do) but they are REALLY REALLY expensive.

He noticed that the tires I had selected and paid for online (using what was suggested by the discount tires website when I entered my license plate) were not the right size and found that the higher quality tires that did fit were $70 less per tire! I often feel reluctant about car related purchases because I know they will be expensive and I feel like people will often try to sales pitch you into buying something even more expensive, but that was not the case here which I really appreciated. He did present me with a few extra add ons like new windshield wipers (which I did get, $21/wiper for a VW) and a new spare tire because mine is probably 10+ years old (which I did not get). I was refunded the difference between the cheaper tires + the wipers and the original price I paid and my car was ready in 45 minutes! This location is across the street from a Wing Stop, Noodles, & a Jersey Mike's. There were plenty of seats to wait in but it was also convenient to run across the street and grab lunch while my tires were being changed. Sounded like appointments were the way to go, walk ins on a busy day could have to wait up to 90 min. Highly recommend this place!

First, I tried to set up at home installation for both cars on the same day and in fact did that when I ordered the tires. Then I had to schedule the installation even after doing it during the purchase. After calling customer service to schedule, I was told one set could be installed Friday and one set Monday. Sucks, but ok. Friday the installer came out and there is confusion about what tires go on what car. I'm busy with work, so can't help much. Installer puts the larger tires (19") on the smaller car (supposed to have 18") and leaves. When I go out to check my new tires, they are like clown tires, hugely oversized and obviously wrong. Called to complain, ended up getting rescheduled for both cars for the new tires on Monday. Ok, annoying, but I understand. Monday comes and same installer (this location apparently only has one installer) arrives. I'm working in my home office and on a call so I can't check it out. Installer brings my old tires back and puts them on the smaller car. Not the new tires meant for that car...the old ones. And he doesn't put the new tires on the SUV, which should have just required switching them. Doesn't call me, text me, knock on my door. Just puts on the old ones and drives away. So customer service gets another angry call. I get a promise to have a supervisor call me in the morning. By 11 am, no call so I call them. Finally talk to a supervisor. "oh, we are so sorry, this should never have happened...yadda yadda yadda." Great, just fix it. There was some confusion about tire size for the cars, but I was never told any of the tires I ordered might not fit (and I used the Tire Rack tire decision guide). So, after discussing options, including never having the installer come again, decided to have new tires shipped to the nearest Discount Tire so actual professionals could install them. The tires for the SUV (first installed incorrectly on the smaller car) were supposed to be send to the nearest Discount Tire today. Great. I get a call this afternoon from the TR delivery driver asking where I am. Well, I am at home, not hanging out at Discount Tire. I tell him to talk to Discount Tire and that he was supposed to deliver the tires there. He was very confused. But I finally get notice that the tires were dropped off. I call Discount Tire to schedule install and the tech laughs. He said the delivery guy came, was confused, asked for me (the customer) and Discount Tire told him it was fine to just drop the tires off. Delivery guy walks to his truck and leaves with the tires. So I just buy tires from Discount Tire and am having them installed. Same for the smaller car. Mobile service from Tire Rack seems like a great idea, but if you do it, keep it really simple. Maybe picture books. Or just use Discount Tire for the install.

When I arrived, Mike greeted me with a friendly smile and explained the process clearly -- no jargon, no pressure, just honesty. One big bonus? They offer a free ride service for locals to and from the shop. I've never had that before, and it made dropping off my car so much easier. They also communicated throughout the day via text with updates, which I really appreciated. When I came back to pick up my car, the bill was walked through step-by-step, and I was told that if the issue worsens, I can bring it back within a year for a free assessment or fix. Oil change was done but the person in the shop (was a different staff member than the one in the morning) had no idea if anything had been looked at regarding the leak in my tire. My tires also weren't also rotated fully. It was simply the front to back rotation even though I purchased the proper tires for doing an entire rotation. Lastly, emails have been going to the wrong address for my car repairs. The shop has failed to update this after numerous asks. The physical printouts lack information.
