Bait and switch tactics I spent 8 hours contacting this dealer about a vehicle listed around $30,073. After all the back-and-forth, I found the real price was over $37,144 because the advertised "dealer discount" was actually conditional rebates, not a true discount. The pricing is misleading and wasted my time. Text message between sales rep and myself

My name is Alex Palmer, a resident of Grand Prairie, Texas. I am submitting a formal complaint regarding my vehicle purchase from Norman Hyundai, 591 N Interstate Dr, Norman, Oklahoma, and its affiliated entity, Strongpoint AutoGroup, LLC. Alternate Names: Strongpoint AutoGroup, LLC Key Principal: Gregory D Cable Doing Business As: Cable Volkswagen Oklahoma City Volkswagen 4710 NW 39th St Oklahoma City, OK 73122 Business Management: Ms. Crystal Carpenter, Controller Fax numbers Primary Fax: (405) 789-3317 Additional Phone Numbers Other Phone: (405) 789-8500 On January 3, 2025, I submitted an inquiry for a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer advertised at $34,232. I was contacted by Allen Reeves and scheduled an appointment that same evening, where I met with salesperson Kevin Shepard. I traveled approximately 175 miles to the dealership with my brother, Lewis. After a test drive, we began discussing the purchase. I informed Kevin that I had pre-arranged financing through Mount Olive Baptist Church Federal Credit Union. He stated the dealership might secure better terms, and I agreed to allow them to try. Due to the three-hour return trip, we agreed to continue the transaction remotely, and I was introduced to finance officer Logan, who discussed loan terms. On January 5, 2026, after the dealership failed to provide acceptable financing, I informed Kevin I would proceed with my credit union and requested a purchase order. When I received it, the vehicle price had increased from approximately $34,000 to about $39,000. When I questioned this, Kevin stated via text that the increase was due to documentation fees and TTL. On January 6, 2026, at 12:47 PM, Kevin sent a message stating: "Your OTD price after Doc Fee and TTL is $39,295.50. This includes all available discounts to you." On January 9, 2026, the dealership and my credit union completed the paperwork, and the vehicle was delivered on January 10, 2026. On February 12, 2026, after not receiving permanent registration, I contacted Kevin, who advised me to contact the DMV. When I contacted the Oklahoma DMV, I was informed I would need to provide the title, proof of purchase, and pay taxes to register the vehicle. This conflicted with my understanding that TTL had been included in my purchase price. Upon reviewing my purchase documents, I confirmed there was no line item showing TTL had been paid. I contacted the dealership and attempted to reach Logan but did not receive a response. On February 16, 2026, I spoke with Jennifer Lamb in the finance department. She stated that when customers use outside financing, the dealership does not pay TTL. This policy had never been disclosed to me. I informed her that I had written confirmation from Kevin stating TTL was included. She requested the messages, which I emailed to her. She stated she would follow up but never returned my call. On February 20, 2026, I left a voicemail and sent a follow-up email. I received no response. On February 24, 2026, I reached Ms. Lamb again and was transferred to her director, who stated there was nothing he could do and redirected me to a sales manager. I was transferred again but did not receive any resolution or follow-up. On March 3, 2026, after continued lack of response, I contacted the dealership again and was informed by a salesperson that the dealership has a policy of increasing the vehicle price by $2,000 if financing is not completed through them. This was the first time this policy was disclosed, despite the dealership's prior knowledge that I intended to use outside financing. Because my temporary registration was about to expire and I needed to remain compliant, I was forced to pay TTL out of pocket. Due to delays caused by the dealership's lack of communication, I also incurred penalties from the State of Texas. My out-of-pocket expenses were: Texas sales tax (6.25%): $2,264.50 Penalties and title transfer fees: $113.23 Registration fees: $78.25 Total: $2,513.98 I believe Norman Hyundai misrepresented the terms of the sale, failed to disclose critical financing-related pricing policies, and did not honor the quoted out-the-door price, which explicitly included TTL in written communication. Additionally, the dealership failed to provide proper documentation or assistance and did not respond to multiple attempts to resolve the issue. Despite repeated efforts over several weeks, I have received no resolution.

Took three cars (all new cars, only driven in town, yes they were grimy due to the weather/rain,…read morebut not anything extreme) here over the last two days, getting the ultimate wash ($35)...none of the cars were actually clean when finished, they were 75% clean, about what I could have got going through a $5 drive through wash and hand dried myself. There was still dirt on the door handles and on the trunk, mirrors were not wiped down, windshields were streaked like the sprayed the dash and didn't wipe the over spray off the windshield, the dashboard was streaked and parts still had dust on them. The wheels were not cleaned at all, had to have my son re-do them. On the third vehicle, I decided I would point out the areas that still needed attention, the attendant stated that although it wiped off easy, you had to pay extra to get that off...well that was not explained, guess I would have paid, to get the vehicle done correctly. I use to take our vehicles here when it was under the previous name and always had great results, used them for detailing and oil changes. I am now looking for a new place to take our vehicles, will not be going back.

Went to the Robinson location and got a car wash and clean inside my car, I could have done it for…read morefree myself and it would have looked way better. Dirt still on the floor and seats, over spray on windows and not cleaned I was so excited to get my car cleaned and now I just wasted my money. Jeremy was very helpful in getting us a transmission quote. We did not use the service, because I…read morefound out I do have a warranty and the dealer is taking care of it. This business came highly recommended so I called them first. If I need anything in the future I definitely will use them. Thank you Jeremy!

Had my brakes lock up while driving on a Friday. Had my vehicle Towed there. Monday morning they…read moreevaluated it and sent me a link for repairs saying I need around $7k worth of work. When queried why the work needed to be done, they said it was based off of the mileage on the vehicle... not something they observed in the inspection. For example, they said I needed an oil change when the sticker in the windshield said it was current. Additionally, they said I needed rear shocks when they were in fact replaced two years ago. Again.. they said it was based off of mileage, not observed necessity. As for the reason I towed it there in the first place: they said they didn't know why it did that and would be happy to replace all discs and pads but would be fine with me driving it that day without the change... needless to say I can't trust them with the safety of my family so we had it towed to a different mechanic down the street. Again.. how could I trust their judgement when they couldn't find the problem, didn't know what caused it, and then they offer me thousands in repairs for issues they didn't even confirm I needed.. it's so sad they have as good of ratings as they do. I wasted money and time. Very disappointing Forgot to mention: they deleted the online quotes and diagnosis when we told them we'd be taking it somewhere else. Seemed worth mentioning Follow up: took my car to master tech for a second opinion. Dave looked it over and determined the following recommended services were NOT needed: rear brakes and discs are FINE and don't need to be changed (they said they were worn and needed to be replaced, he said they have more than enough pad left), water pump is fine and NOT leaking, it does not need to be changed ( they said it was leaking and even sent a picture with liquid on it) and finally, there is one strut leaking lightly but both shocks do NOT have to be replaced. Oh and the caliper they said didn't have any issues (the original problem I went in for because it got stuck and started smoking)... it needs to be rebuilt to be safe to drive on. Yall.. I cannot stress my disappointment enough in Christian brothers and their dishonesty. They were going to perform thousands of dollars in work for no reason other than to make a buck off of me. They took advantage of my bad situation. Single income family of 6 whose car broke down 45 minutes from home. Not to mention they were going to let me drive it with the issue unresolved! You don't care about people, you have no integrity and you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Update from the day after: Jeremy reached out after I completed their customer satisfaction survey. He was very apologetic and wanted to hear what happened. He offered to reimburse us for our tow and genuinely cared about fixing the issue internally. From a manager/owners perspective I hope he's able to narrow down what happened and address it with his employees. that way this doesn't happen to anyone else. I have to keep the review and rating honest from my perspective so I won't be changing that but still felt like he wants to run an honest business and will not tolerate for deceit or dishonesty from His employees.
