Recently he was hospitalized again with what we thought was cellulitis. So once again he was sent to Ignite to complete his I.V. antibiotics for 6 weeks. When they transported h8m from the hospital I arrived before he did seen they put him in a semi private room. Immediately I was also aware of his neighbor right next door hollering and moaning very loudly. I told the nurse at the desk that he was not going to be happy about a roommate and did he not know they considered him infectious (my boyfriend) the nurse responded well thats where they put him. But the next day I guess someone caught on that hevwas infectious moved his roommate out to a private room. Thebroommate was none to happy about them exposing him to an infectious person. So then they quarantined my boyfriend about a day late from exposing the whole place. He's in here trying to rest and heal still listening to the neighbor yelling and moaning. Supper is supposed to be served at 4:30 he received it at 7:00 last night only after calling the nurse to see where his supper was. He said he would not recommend Ignite again and wouldn't ever come back.

I would not even give this place a one star it is exactly what people says it is horrible…read moredefinetely not skilled nurses my husband was in this place for a little over 3 weeks and every single day was a nightmare his care was completely neglected not once but 2 times he was sent out of this facility to the hospital they had no one who was skilled with trachs and they accepted my husband anyway knowing that nobody there was able to care for a trach this last time he was sent out was the very last straw for me he ended being hospitilized in ICU with a severe infection thanks to this place yes nice on the outside but not good care on the inside that day he had to be transported out which was last Wednesday could have been the end of him Had I not went to check on him and they still did not want to send him out until respitory advised it Please if you love your love ones do not send them here My husband will never ever go back there and I will be filing a complaint against them if your loved is not able to do things on there own the care will be neglected they take forever to come in rooms even when you call for help.from experience not a good place for your loved one at all.

The facility rooms are spacious, the PT is excellent, and the boots-on-the-ground CNAs and LPNs were crucial in my uncle's recovery. As an advocate for my uncle's care, my biggest goal was to keep him clean and dry, provide adequate nutrition, manage pain levels, tweak medications when necessary, and keep him on a necessary shower schedule. The request to administer pain medications to my mom was given to staff by me many times and each time they would say they had not received any pain medications from the pharmacy to administer. This took many days to get at the facility and required intervention with multiple staff and physician. The staff received pain medications finally and were instructed to give her pain medications consistently to ease her suffering from the brain cancer. When I would visit each day and ask about pain medications they would say they had not given any during the night. My mom was obviously in pain and suffering, in and out of lucidity. I told them repeatedly to give each night as she was dying and in pain from the brain cancer. The nursing staff rarely gave pain meds to her if I was not present. The last 2 nights of her life the staff said the night staff forgot one night and the night she passed away they stated the night nurse could not find the pain medication in the medication drawer to administer. She did not have any pain medication because of neglect of the staff. If I could give less than 1 star I would as the care was abuse.

Then we went to check out Brookhaven and we surprisingly encouraged as soon as we walked in the door. The staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions better than expected. We decided Brookhaven was the place for her hands down. Mr. J T called me the next morning to let me know a private room was available. We moved her in that afternoon. From the time she checked in until the time she checked out everyone was caring and helpful, ensuring she had the best care possible. I can say from experience that this is the best place I've ever worked in my 40 years doing hair. I LOVE the people who live here, they have become my dear friends. The activities director and her assistant are amazing at what they do. Just today we had a fall festival happy hour with delicious food and decorations, an outdoor fire pit on our beautiful patio (one of several) and everyone including myself, had a great time. This place is so much fun, I'd live here myself if I were older. They are redecorating and getting new paint, furniture and carpet. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and relaxing. I received a call from them the same day my doctor wrote the script, and they got me in the very next day. It's a beautiful building just to the east of Lowe's and was easy to find, just behind Mamaveca's. The atmosphere is casual but polished. Everything is clean. Everything. The bathroom was spotless, and the area where you can make coffee/tea and get water was also spotless. (No water stains!) Tip: Wear exercise clothes! I have Cate as my physical therapist. She is magical. My particular injuries are very difficult and flare up randomly--sometimes in the middle of her treating me. She is a lot more patient than I am! Every time I come in there's usually something different one of the three injuries I have is doing--and every time she customizes my PT to accommodate for that day's ailment. The tech's who stay with you while you complete your stretches etc. are really, really nice. They always are funny and make the best conversations. (Especially if you love sports.) I've been going to PTC for over 3 months now. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They've helped me heal much faster than I ever thought possible. I'd highly recommend them.
