Here is a picture of the good with brass bezels. Not a great shot of the bezels. I will send another picture

I am having my kitchen remodeled. My hood has some satin brass in it. I wanted the bezels of my stove to be brass, as well (they were stainless). He did a great job! He said two weeks and they were done before the two weeks. So happy!!!

Horrible place, unacceptable quality of work and customer service. Instead of promised 2 weeks it took 5 weeks to get back my metal. Every time I call to confirm if it's ready there were always promises. Super thin weak and uneven finish coat, chipped corners, scratches and marks all over, rude salesperson refused to refund or do anything. Unprofessional and unacceptable

Missing nail. Scrathes on wooden pillar. Holes in faceplate no longer aligned with wooden pillar.

No! No! No! These people lied to me twice and damaged the lamp I left. Backstory: I "inherited" a lamp that needed refinishing. I liked it but didn't know if it was worth the cost and effort. I took it into the shop to see what "the experts" recommended. I was told it was a Stiffel and that it was worth refinishing. Cost $250. I said ok and left the lamp. I went home and then researched vintage lamps. (Ok, I know, I shoulda done that first...my bad). Found out it was actually a Frederick Cooper French Pillar Calendar Table Lamp. A similar lamp was selling on the internet for $150. Again ... my bad. But I figured I would be able to enjoy it anyway after it was refinished. Wrong! I picked it up yesterday and there is now a dent in the base that was not there before (although the owner said it was, I know better as I tried to polish that same base myself so was intimate with it). Also the faceplate had been removed and was replaced so that the holes in the plate no longer line up with the holes in the wooden pillar before...which makes the calendar useless. And when the faceplate was replaced they scratched the pillar and one of the four nails is missing. And least of all the felt bottom was not glued on. So...use these folks at your own peril.

I have used Normandy on many occasions and doing Interior Design this place has saved the day! Thank for doing what you do so well!

Picking up my broken chandelier off of the floor after it fell off of the stool.

I read the reviews on this site and took a small silver chandelier in to have one of the broken lights repaired to Normandy. I was told the cost would be $50. I just now returned home from picking up my chandelier and I am still literally shaking. I was verbally assaulted in the store by a very large man who appears to be the owner. Here is what took place. I came into the store and nobody was at the counter. I rang the indicated bell and still no one came to help me. I walked over to where the workshop appeared to be and stood outside the gate marked no entry. I could see my chandelier on the floor. When this man finally came out I politely told him that was my chandelier. When he picked it up, it was in the file box with lid I brought it in. He went to pick up the chandelier but left the lid on the floor. It looked very wet. I asked for the lid. He told me it was too wet. I asked to see the box and felt the bottom. The bottom of the box was all wet. I politely asked for another box. The man did not appear pleased and begrudgingly went to look for another box. He put my chandelier on top of a stool. As I stood waiting outside the workshop area, I watched as my chandelier crashed to the floor. I involuntarily let out a scream. It was so upsetting to see my family heirloom falling and glass breaking. The man came back and there was no remorse or apology. What I believe happened is the box was so wet it was unable to hold the weight of the chandelier. Without a word he took it to the far back and would not show me the condition it was in. I wanted to go back to see it and innocently thought I was in an appropriate area. It's a confusing maze of areas and it was my first time in that part of the store. All of a sudden this same big man comes out and begins yelling at me and ordering me to get out and saying I was not supposed to be in that area. I apologized and said I honestly didn't know. He continued and went postal on me. I told him he had no right talking to me in this way. We wouldn't drop it and kept insisting I violated the store rules. I was shaking and walked out of the store sobbing after he disappeared. He then came out to the front counter and pushed the chandelier in front of me. He told me to just take it and it was fine. He went after me again after I told him that I can't believe he talks to customers this way. He accused me of moving forward into the forbidden area when I didn't. He told me to just take the chandelier and but normally it would be $75. I reminded him that my quote was for $50. He said yes but it required a lot more work. I asked how I knew it was even working. He became enraged and said he would show me. At this point I had had enough. I took my chandelier and walked out completely shaken. I am a petite woman and this man was very angry, confrontational and intimidating. This was a horrible experience and not deserving of a single star. I don't care how excellent the work may be. A man who treats women with such disrespect and yes I would use the word abuse, ought not to be in business. I am a nice, polite person, having a wonderful day until this happened. I used to own my own business and I can't fathom treating any customer in this manner. I can't get over it. I don't even know if my chandelier is working or is damaged. So sad. What he did to my psyche today is the worst of it.

This is before I refinished this door and Normandy polished the hardware.

Thankfully they waived the fee. I trusted that they would do a good job based on their portfolio. They were accurate in their timeline for the completion of the project and the resulting hutch looks fantastic, I have no complaints there. The main reason I am giving this business two stars is because their communication leaves A LOT to be desired. I asked for progress photos as they were working on the piece in their shop. They never sent pictures until I had to follow up and ask for them. They knew ahead of time that they were going to need to deliver my piece urgently because they were going to need all the space in their shop for their next project. Yet, they did not communicate this with me until the very last minute, what were they going to do with my piece if I was unavailable for delivery when they needed it gone? That seemed like poor planning to me. Upon the initial quoting of the piece, I specifically asked them to not only have the main mirror replaced by their third party, but also have the antique locks repaired. I provided them with a key that fit the lock to aid in this process. They returned my piece to me with not only the lock issue not addressed, but also with one of the cabinet doors not fully functional (which is not how it was when they took the piece at the beginning). I had to report this issue after they had already left. It was only then that he recommended I contact his third party locksmith to resolve the issue. His recommended locksmith (Sav-Mor Lock & Key) has been completely unresponsive, and I can't find other locksmiths who specialize in antique locks. I then asked Haer where is the key that I gave them when they picked up the hutch, and it was only THEN that they told me they tried to test the key in one of the locks and a piece of the key broke off and is STILL currently stuck in one of the locks (they also didn't specify which lock they tested either). I am extremely disappointed and frustrated because I clearly specified all my needs before they accepted the project, and now I received an incomplete service. They have also stopped responding to my communications completely, which I find outrageous and irresponsible. I also got the impression that working on my project was a chore for them, as if I didn't pay top dollar for them to give me their best work. Again, in terms of their actual craftsmanship, Jose (who I believe did most of the work) did a great job. However, communication is a huge factor in determining who I award my business to, and based on my experience I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting them with another one of my projects.

We knew that we needed an expert to complete the job without the risk of damaging them. We had a difficult decision to make and for this project, we obtained 7 quotes. After looking into each of the companies through the CSLB website, we found out that only four of them had a valid contractors license. We felt very comfortable with George, the owner of Jace. He has vast knowledge of hardwood floors with years of experience, has a friendly demeanor, and is a fellow dog rescuer. One of the other reviews mentions a customer's satisfaction with Jace's refinishing of their 100 years old floors. Though his quote was not the lowest, we chose quality over price. And we are so happy we did. Carlos, the lead tech on our project is also very knowledgeable and approachable. He answered all of our questions, and explained everything they were doing throughout the various stages of the process. Carlos's assistant, Jair is friendly and a hard worker. After the work was completed, Mike came to inspect the work, and grout the transition from our Dining Room to our kitchen. I didn't even have to ask them to do this. George suggested it to replace the ugly molding that was previously there, and on which we would frequently stub our toes. Mike returned a second time to drop off a complementary Bona cleaning kit. From the initial Yelp request to the finish of our project, George and his team were stellar, exceeding our expectations. Our floors look amazing, as if they were newly installed! I would recommend them to everyone in need of hardwood floor installation/refinishing/repairs. It is their specialty and their business name says so. Check out their work on Instagram @jace_floors
