I just walked out of the showroom and I am on Cloud Nine. SO relieved the search is over. I spent over an hour, looking up and down aisles and doubling back to look again and asking a bazillion questions. Multiple times an employee gently asked if I needed help and gladly stayed to answer my questions or moved on if not. Omar was trapped behind a workstation so couldn't escape me, but he answered every question with a smile, and Josh was beyond helpful with walking back n forth to ascertain the drawer pull sizes I wanted and giving me the estimate. To sum it up, Builders Surplus has an amazing number of choices on display (both bath and kitchen), reasonable pricing, and a very a personable and professional sales staff. Todd and his team easily removed one load-bearing interior wall to create an open floor plan and built an addition to make our master bathroom larger. Todd has a consistent crew who works with him. The crew is super friendly, skilled at their job, and keeps everything clean. From start to finish it was an absolute pleasure working with Todd. All of the teams did a great job with the demo, plumbing, electrical, drywall, cabinets, countertops, shower doors, and finishing work. Katrin coordinated all the teams seamlessly. Eric and Antonio provided great recommendations every step of the way, and their crew was always nice and considerate. The project took a little longer than expected due to a missing cabinet issue, but overall it was a great experience with quality workmanship, fair pricing, and a professional team. That's where I found my counter people for the first remodel and they were fantastic and counters lasted almost 20 years. My counters now are barely over a year and all the seams look horrible. They pick cheap labor for all the work and that's exactly what you get, however, that's not what you are paying. They definitely overcharge for what you get.

You'll start with Misty at their showroom. With some measurements and a couple photos, she'll begin your design, providing 3D renderings along the way. She couldn't have been more pleasant, helpful and patient. My wife Karen and her friend Colleen were the primary decision makers. But, realizing I was out numbered, Misty was compassionately accommodating with the couple of requests I had. Once the design is approved, Bryce (owner) came out to our house for final measurements. Even after his meticulous work, it turned out our refrigerator wouldn't fit under the cabinet above it. He and Misty made the exchange for the next smaller size a breeze. In addition to a top shelf customer experience all the way around, their price was within $100 of Builders Surplus!! I would give them 10 stars if the system allowed it; our highest recommendation.

We just had our bathroom tub refinished by Chestnut Coating. We couldn't be more pleased. The finished product was "better than new". We are beyond thrilled with the work. Paul Chestnut was extremely personable. His work was done right on the scheduled time and done with precision. We needed a color match, and a tricky shower curtain (accordion) removed and reinstalled,. We highly recommend his excellent work. We had considered removing the tub and doing extensive remodeling. Paul did an excellent job resurfacing my fiberglass shower stall ! Saw the great reviews on Yelp and sent him a message ; he responded promptly and gave a quote over the phone . He arrived at the scheduled time on the day that was convenient for me , and in a few hours was able to transform the shower stall from an off white/almond color to sparkling white ! Absolutely amazing ! Before spending loads of money on expensive renovations, do think of giving Paul a call . I plan to call him again at a later date to refinish my bathroom countertops . A friend recommended Chestnut Coating because of the excellent job he did on her bathrooms. We used another company years ago and were very dissatisfied with the job they did. We have since used Paul's company to do a shower enclosure and a bathtub enclosure and loved the way they turned out. Paul also did my daughter's bathroom. We hired Paul to refinish a bathtub and a kitchen sink. He did a beautiful job, and was prompt and professional. After it was dry he came back to buff it and recaulk the sink. The price was very reasonable, and included stripping off the old finish, which some companies I talk to charge a lot extra for. The tub and sink look fresh and new. But the part that I like to say that was even better was he had to come back about five days afterwards when I scratched the color off because I had a pipe wrench that I was trying to undo a pipe and I scratched it and he came and took care of it for free. read more

I had a kitchen sink that showed its age. In order to remove it, some tile would have to be removed. Recoating was the more sensible route. I am glad I called Paul. The job was done well, quickly and cost efferctive. I will use him again if I need another coating job. read more

Paul inspected the tubs at our property and found that what we thought was damage was actually residual paint from previous subcontractors. He was honest and told us that there was no need for reglazing and that we should just scrape off the residue. read more

As before, he did a great job--the tub looked as new as the shower doors. Fast forward to 2021, and I noticed some small cracks and peels around the drain area (seems like a fairly common problem). Like a dope, I'd forgotten about his warranty and tried to fix the problem myself with one of those paint-on enamel fixes but that didn't really do much. Luckily, I happened to re-visit this Yelp page and saw the thing about the warranty so I gave him a call and he came a few days later and fixed it for real--thanks Bill! I'll happily use him again AND not forget about the warranty next time should the occasion arise.

He set up initial appointment to come to my house and estimate the work needed, then he texted me asking to change the appointment to another day. On the day of the appointment he texted me last minute saying he's not coming and said the video I sent him is clear enough for him to estimate the work and quote the cost. To make sure he's clear with the work needed, I emphasized repeatedly in the phone call and in the texts about a crack in the bathtub and confirmed with him on how he would fix the crack. After scheduling the appointment for his contract to come and do the work, he again kept changing our appointment for three times!! When his contract finally came to my house, the contractor doesn't even know there's a crack in the bathtub that needs a fix and the contract left without doing anything. John then gave me another quote of $300 more the second day. It's a very disrespectful experience. A waste of time. I had been so flexible with John, because it's not an urgent need in my house. I hope John would understand that other people also have priorities and schedules.
