After I moved away, I ran into a serious issue with older dental work, and Dr. Emard took the time to revisit my history and re-examine the situation. Rather than suggesting a quick fix, she recommended a comprehensive approach that prioritizes long-term stability. Her thoughtful, evidence-based guidance helped me avoid future complications and significant expense. What impressed me most was her unwavering integrity--always putting what's clinically best for the patient first, even when it meant choosing the more conservative route. If you're looking for a Seattle dental practice that combines genuine warmth, clinical expertise, and true patient advocacy--long after you've left the office--you won't find better than Dr. Emard and Wendy.

But when you make your appointment 6 months out, it's hard to remember the date. Whenever you do make it to your appointment, they're not sure exactly how much to charge you. So they will send you a bill 6 months later with the balance that you've had with late fees. Whenever you go to pay the bill, their website doesn't work. Whenever you go to pay the bill when their website is working, you have to know your account number, you have to know the statement number. You also have to know the exact dollar amount. The care they provide isn't the issue. It's 100% administrative, I just feel like other places are the total package. I'm moving on to a different provider. Edit. My account and my partners account were both setup with the same number, my number. Everytime they had an appointment I would get notifications. I opted out of notifications after constantly getting notifications about their appointments. Not realizing that it also opted my account out as well. It's interesting that I opted out of notifications but still received text messages telling me I had a past due balance? I was told they were different text notification systems.

Very highly recommended and I'll take all my friends and family to see her. Thank you so so much Dr.Pavinee

On Sunday, August 31, 2025, I visited Seattle Emergency Dental Care located at 511 Olive Way,…read moreSeattle, WA 98108, due to severe tooth pain. I paid $85 upfront for X-rays. After reviewing my X-rays, a male dentist informed me that I needed a wisdom tooth extraction to alleviate the pain. His office assistant provided me with an estimated cost of the procedure--approximately $670--and the contact information for Sunbit, a financing company, so I could apply for a loan to cover the extraction if I could not pay upfront. I applied for the loan with Sunbit and was required to pay $455.20 upfront, while Sunbit loaned the remaining amount of $211.45. After the office assistant confirmed my loan approval, she then informed me that I needed another set of X-rays for the dentist to determine whether he could perform the extraction or if I would need to see a specialist. This was not mentioned until after I had applied for the loan, which suggests misleading practices. Had I known that a second set of X-rays was necessary for the dentist to confirm the extraction, I would not have applied for the loan, as I was in significant pain, expecting the dentist to proceed with the extraction as planned. The office assistant assured me that there would be no charge for the second set of X-rays, stating they would provide the dentist with a comprehensive view of my mouth to assess if a specialist would be more appropriate for the procedure. I underwent these X-rays, during which the machine rotated around my head. After reviewing the results, the dentist informed the office assistant that the surgery would be too complicated for him to perform and that a specialist should handle it instead. He only prescribed me pain relief and antibiotics. The office assistant mentioned I should receive a refund of $455.20 from Sunbit within five business days. I requested written confirmation of the refund, but she said she couldn't provide that. Instead, she would contact Sunbit to initiate the refund but then asked me for Sunbit's contact number, which puzzled me since she was the one who initially provided me with that information. I began to worry that something was amiss with this dental office. As of today, October 4, 2025, I have not received my refund of $455.20 for the wisdom tooth extraction that I did not have. I have called Seattle Emergency Dental Care numerous times but only reach their voicemail. It feels as though they are screening my calls to avoid addressing my refund. I have also emailed them multiple times regarding my refund status, emphasizing that Sunbit requires confirmation from Seattle Emergency Dental Care to process the refund. However, I have not received any communication from them. When I reach out to Sunbit, they inform me that it is my responsibility to have Seattle Emergency Dental Care contact them to confirm my refund, as that is the only way they can proceed. Furthermore, Sunbit has contacted me stating that I missed my first payment and still owe the remaining balance of the loan since they have already paid Seattle Emergency Dental Care the full amount of $666.65. I refuse to pay for a service I did not receive. I feel like a victim of a scam and wonder how many other vulnerable patients may have fallen prey to similar practices. I believe that both Seattle Emergency Dental Care and Sunbit are working together in a fraudulent manner to exploit patients financially. Each company keeps redirecting me to the other, claiming they cannot assist me. I have filed a fraud claim with my bank, and they are currently investigating the matter. I urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate both companies to prevent them from taking advantage of paying customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I saw them today for an urgent repair with less than 24 hours notice. I left the practice when they went out of network, but recently returned when they started accepting Delta Dental again. I learned my lesson. Dr McKenny is the best. He has created three implant crowns for my husband, and corrected issues the other dentist claimed were unfixable, using conservative approaches. I know that when he recommends something it's in my best interest - he's not trying to max out my insurance benefits for his own gain. As an example of his integrity, when he went out of network with our insurance, he honored the originally quoted price through to the end of my husband's treatment, even though it meant he wasn't being paid by insurance at all for the most expensive steps. A special shout-out to Anglea, who handles billing and reception. She has fought with our dental insurance, and is always willing to explain things in detail.
