On Sunday, August 31, 2025, I visited Seattle Emergency Dental Care located at 511 Olive Way, Seattle, WA 98108, due to severe tooth pain. I paid $85 upfront for X-rays. After reviewing my X-rays, a male dentist informed me that I needed a wisdom tooth extraction to alleviate the pain. His office assistant provided me with an estimated cost of the procedure--approximately $670--and the contact information for Sunbit, a financing company, so I could apply for a loan to cover the extraction if I could not pay upfront. I applied for the loan with Sunbit and was required to pay $455.20 upfront, while Sunbit loaned the remaining amount of $211.45. After the office assistant confirmed my loan approval, she then informed me that I needed another set of X-rays for the dentist to determine whether he could perform the extraction or if I would need to see a specialist. This was not mentioned until after I had applied for the loan, which suggests misleading practices. Had I known that a second set of X-rays was necessary for the dentist to confirm the extraction, I would not have applied for the loan, as I was in significant pain, expecting the dentist to proceed with the extraction as planned. The office assistant assured me that there would be no charge for the second set of X-rays, stating they would provide the dentist with a comprehensive view of my mouth to assess if a specialist would be more appropriate for the procedure. I underwent these X-rays, during which the machine rotated around my head. After reviewing the results, the dentist informed the office assistant that the surgery would be too complicated for him to perform and that a specialist should handle it instead. He only prescribed me pain relief and antibiotics. The office assistant mentioned I should receive a refund of $455.20 from Sunbit within five business days. I requested written confirmation of the refund, but she said she couldn't provide that. Instead, she would contact Sunbit to initiate the refund but then asked me for Sunbit's contact number, which puzzled me since she was the one who initially provided me with that information. I began to worry that something was amiss with this dental office. As of today, October 4, 2025, I have not received my refund of $455.20 for the wisdom tooth extraction that I did not have. I have called Seattle Emergency Dental Care numerous times but only reach their voicemail. It feels as though they are screening my calls to avoid addressing my refund. I have also emailed them multiple times regarding my refund status, emphasizing that Sunbit requires confirmation from Seattle Emergency Dental Care to process the refund. However, I have not received any communication from them. When I reach out to Sunbit, they inform me that it is my responsibility to have Seattle Emergency Dental Care contact them to confirm my refund, as that is the only way they can proceed. Furthermore, Sunbit has contacted me stating that I missed my first payment and still owe the remaining balance of the loan since they have already paid Seattle Emergency Dental Care the full amount of $666.65. I refuse to pay for a service I did not receive. I feel like a victim of a scam and wonder how many other vulnerable patients may have fallen prey to similar practices. I believe that both Seattle Emergency Dental Care and Sunbit are working together in a fraudulent manner to exploit patients financially. Each company keeps redirecting me to the other, claiming they cannot assist me. I have filed a fraud claim with my bank, and they are currently investigating the matter. I urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate both companies to prevent them from taking advantage of paying customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter. read more

I broke a tooth on an airplane traveling to Seattle. We were to board a cruise two days later so I needed to get the tooth fixed. I went to this practice and was very nervous about the visit. The dentist who worked on my tooth was amazing. Extremely patient and and had a bubbly personality. She knew I was nervous but was able to calme me down and did a great job on my tooth. The filling was close to the nerve but I have had no problems with pain or infection. I wish she practiced wher I lived because she was the best dentist I have ever had. read more

I woke up with pain on a Saturday (most dentists are closed on weekends) and found this dentist online and was seen same day. Yes there was a bit of a wait. Not a big deal to me. I've had this issue before in the past years and the (I think ONLY dentist on duty there all day) dentist, I can't remember his name, was very knowledgable and did all the right things. Payment was a flat rate and was MUCH cheaper than my usual dentist. Think about how many people come into their office downtown, looking for emergency dental work right that moment. The staff must work long hours and it must not be easy. Yeah, the lobby could be cleaner. Not really a big deal. The chair area to see the dentist was perfectly clean. I'm sorry to have to downgrade my precious 5 star review. I would give negative stars if I could. I walked in for my appointment while my husband looked for parking. The woman at the front desk asked me for ID my fault I did not have it, but I had been seen there before. She asked my insurance, I told them, she said they don't take it. Why don't they list insurances that they take like a reputable business? It would save someone with a dental emergency time, and what I felt was a fairly hostile experience. I've been in customer service for years, and I enjoy it. This woman obviously does not. She was very rude and dismissive.Thankfully I am at urgent care where I can without attitude. Also shady that they asked for a review while I was waiting for my appointment- Here it is. Elisabeth was there to great me when I arrived. She's so friendly and helpful in explaining the charges, went through it and just made me feel well cared for. Dr. Ru is a really caring dentist. So careful and explained everything that was happening. Making sure there was no pain in my tooth extraction. I've never felt so comfortable at a dentist appointment. I was debating between two and three stars, but decided to go with two. The negative reviews here are TRUTH! I should have listened to them before I went in. Oh well, lesson learned. I went in with gum /tooth pain and saw Dr. Atwood. He seemed clueless at first like I was his first patient ever. There was a huge language barrier between myself and the dental assistant. I could barely understood a word she said. Dr. Atwood finally identified I had some filling resin that should be shaved down and he would do a sensitivity treatment. BUT THEN, the incident happened that is making me give two stars. While I was getting paperwork done which took me all of five minutes, he decided to go on a CONFERENCE CALL FOR THIRTY MINUTES! THIRTY MINUTES! I was the ONLY patient in the office. Like, hello, I'm in pain here and your chatting it up with one of your colleagues. Totally unprofessional and unethical in my opinion. The receptionists apologized to me multiple times. One of the receptionists finally went to the back and demanded he treat me. She told me to voice my opinion and that is why I wrote this review. Although, I was treated and the treatment seems to be working (for now), it was one of the utmost unprofessional dental offices I have ever stepped into, especially Dr. Atwood. If you can avoid this clinic and go to a different emergency dental clinic, I highly recommend it! Also, their prices are VERY HIGH They take full advantage of being an emergency clinic. Came in here on a Saturday afternoon after discovering something disturbing with one of my teeth. Sarah (I think her name is), the dental hygienist is extremely rude and unprofessional. She shamed me multiple times for not having a dentist despite having dental insurance, tried to convince me to pull the tooth that was causing me issues - what happened to my body my choice? And didn't even realize she was causing me an immense amount of pain with the x-rays because I have a small mouth/jaw. Finally, she was not clear about if I was discharged and kept telling me "Go to the pharmacy", even though it turned out they never send over the RX they said they would. Oh, and that dentist? His treatment plan "recommendation" was to pull a baby tooth I didn't know I still had and put braces on the three teeth next to it, including the wisdom tooth (for clarification, he recommended that for another day with a dental clinic I establish care with) I went to a more dentist that has MUCH better bedside manner today, and he did recommend I pull the wisdom tooth that was causing me issues, NOT the baby tooth and so far, no mention of braces. The only thing he could do was give me a deep cleaning of the tooth (which was fine) and send me on my way. For an emergency dental clinic, it's fine. If you can wait a few days to get in with your actual dentist, I would highly recommend that instead. read more

ABSOLUTE WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE. The clinic room was not cleaned before the brought me in, and the dental assistant was cleaning it while I stood in the corner. The staff lady at the front desk was really rude and standoffish. The dentist was NOT LISTENING to my concerns and he took 45 minutes to come speak with me even though I came ON TIME to my appointment. I was in pain the entire time and no one did anything to help. Went in to get a tooth filled that lost a filling... place was less than clean. Still went on to have them do work.. they sent me home as it was later in the day (only 4 pm and their site says they are open til 9) but I digress. They said to come back Monday at 9:30.. came back and they had no appointment nor a doctor in the office at that time. I asked for them to cancel everything at this point and refund me for the work, which I paid for in full upfront. It has been 3 months at this point and they have not paid a penny. Horrible experience. All about money! I went in on a Sunday after feeling such extreme pain that I had to leave work early to go. After reviewing my insurance, they told me it was out of network and the receptionist at the time told me xrays would be 25 and had to be paid now! Had to run to work to get enough and when all was said and done, she said the dental assist took two xrays so I owed more unless I opted for removal of the tooth right that second. Since this was an unexpected issue I didn't have that kind of money. She stares me down. I told her I worked up the street and come at some other time all while going through extreme pain. All I owed was eight dollars. My husband and I got our CareCredit reactivated and since I had been there earlier in the day and they knew what the situation was, I made an appointment to go back in the next day. Big mistake!! Blonde receptionist was super hard to work with. Would battle every word I said and then told me I was not an authorized user on the CareCredit account (this after calling my husband confirming I was and him even sending screenshots) She told me it was a lie because you can't confirm such things online and it can only be done by phone and she was told I wasn't. After telling her to call again, she rolled her eyes and found out I was!!! She continued like nothing happened. I was finally sent to a room almost an hour and a half after my appointment time where I was stressed out like no other due to pain and this interaction with this horrible woman. My blood pressure at that point was too high to operate. Dr. Atwood came and told me he could not do the surgery and I should see a doctor (I totally understand that and this review should not be pointed at this doctor WHATSOEVER because he was the only sense of compassion or sense of care I received both times I went.) He sent me home with a stronger pain med (the doctor the day before sent me home with a prescription for Motrin and the assistant told me I could use a few aspirins if I "couldn't afford it" My husband ended up calling a dentist he used to send his nieces to who gave me the best care possible. My blood pressure was high when I walked in but dramatically dropped after ten minutes of sitting and talking to that dentist. I was able to get the tooth removed without pain and having it cost way less as most of it was covered. Shame on a business like this one to take advantage of their patients. Especially ones who work in blocks distance of them. Will never recommend let alone go there ever again! Avoid this place at all costs. I had a veneer fall out on vacation and went here. I paid $140 with insurance for the following experience. I arrive to my 9:30am appt. The receptionist/office manager Elizabeth is outside smoking a cigarette. I walk into the office and wait for her while she finishes her cigarette. I get tasked with 10 pages of unnecessary and repetitive paperwork. I pay up front and give my ID for them to scan. The dentist is 45 minutes late for the appt. The hygienist takes 4 separate attempts at take unnecessary x-rays. The dentist arrives in a panicked flurry. Permanently cements my veneer back on. There is no bite test. He makes my gums bleed when he flosses between the sides in his hurried efforts. There seems to be some discord between him and the hygienist as they have an issue communicating about what steps need to happen in which sequence. I am told I am finished. I leave and am 30 minutes away when I realize my ID is still is that scanner of theirs. Later that evening, my veneer chips off some of the hardened glue sticking out. Four days later the whole veneer falls out when I am brushing my teeth. Non-refundable. The absolute worst type of place to find yourself in. In case of an emergency, it's better to wait toothless than it is to ever cross the threshold of this emergency clinic. read more

I went in on a Sunday to get a chipped tooth fixed. From while I was filling out my paperwork, all the way through the ACTUAL PROCEDURE, the dentist was talking to the hygienist about his poly-amorous relationship with his girlfriend and the stress it was causing on his life. I can recount the situation of his current love life in detail. As you can imagine, it's disconcerting when someone has sharp tools in your mouth and is having a conversation with someone else, only barely paying attention to the procedure. This was evidenced by the fact that at one point in the procedure they had me test whether the filling was smooth, but they forgot to wash the area first, so I got to enjoy the beautiful taste of burnt filling. Unsurprisingly, given the level of competence in the office, the filling fell out two days later. I went to a new dentist to get it fixed, but my insurance was unwilling to cover a repeat procedure. After calling the this office for a refund, I was told it was my fault for not coming back to them, and they wouldn't refund. It was a terrible mistake to ever come to this office. I asked if they took his insurance (state plan) and they don't. The receptionist gave me a quote of $125 for the exam and then the treatments would be on top of that. I asked what the treatments ranged and she could not give me an answer. Said it just depended. I started giving her examples like "root canal" or "extraction" ...anything. Hit me with a number. Everyone I came in contact was exactly who would want to deal with.. especially in a dental situation..they were awesome.. no hidden agendas.. warm and compassionate.. fun! Terrible customer experience. Forced to wait one hour and 15 minutes passed my appointment time because the doctor was "stuck in traffic". While I waited a man from the bottled water company came in and begin to argue loudly about a delinquent bill, he threatened to repo their office water bottle if they couldn't pay today. Receptionist 1 whisked the unhappy water collector back into another more private area whist receptionist 2 began shuffling desk items and crumpling paper loudly so that I wouldn't hear the conversation, she made it so obvious. Receptionist 2 then came offer and asked me to go check on my parking since the doctor was late, it was cringey being ushered out that way but I wasn't judging at that point. I wasn't in a huge rush so I didn't give them a 1 star for that or the hour + wait The doctor was pleasant and seemed reasonably knowledgeably. After determining that I needed an extraction for a cracked tooth, I payed our of pocket and they send me on my way. The same day I called in and asked for my ex rays and a referral so that I could get the tooth extracted by another office that takes my insurance, they said they would send it, but never did. I missed my first extraction appointment because i did not have the referral. I called the 2nd day and was told the doctor would be back in an hour and send it over... they send the ex-rays but no referral. The reason for the 1 star review was because when I called the 3rd day, audibly in sever pain and frustrated the unprofessional conversation with receptionist 2 (the black woman) came unhinged. She was defensive, rude and uncaring and while i was talking she just set the phone down and left it there like this was some kind of hole in the wall, back alley dentist office NOT a professional medical business. I called from a separate line and receptionist one answered, instead of dealing with me professionally she took up for her colleague, no apologies for their staff dropping the ball or anything, she instead chastised me, stuck up for her rude colleague and told me "technically we have a week to send it" unbelievably poor customer service however better than receptionist 2 who behaves like she is working for a local a ma / pa small business forgoing in an instant all professional demeanor and bedside mannerism. Great emergency service! My finance's wisdom tooth was infected and when we called at 9am on Saturday morning they had us in by 1230pm. He ended up needing an extraction. They were very up front about the cost and the office staff was very friendly explaining they to submit to insurance. The cost wasn't that far off from a "regular dentist". X-ray and initial consultation was $125 and total with extraction was about $500. I was expecting to be hit with emergency fees and blah blah but really not bad! We were home and icing by 4! We actually used Spot Hero and got a parking spot in a garage for $6 for the day because we weren't sure how long we would be there. So I can't comment on building parking.. I would only use this clinic if you lost a tooth in the middle of the night or something pretty ridiculous that can't possibly wait until your next dental appointment. I somehow knocked one of my fillings out of my molar or something so I called this office and asked for a same day appointment (this was around 3:00pm, the office closes at around 8:00pm) -- they couldn't see me that day so I came in the next day, in the morning, as the first patient (note the non-emergency). What struck me as rather strange was that the receptionist also happened to be the dental assistant (!) This is the first time I have ever seen this occur. Does this clinic not have enough work (or money?) to hire a separate receptionist? Also the decor of the place is rather dark and dingy. My arm chair was kind of scuffed up and the walls could have used some paint retouches, and some better livelier decor to cheer up the place. As for the actual operation, the dentist took out my filling and put in a new one. However, in the process, she jabbed this plastic disc thing in my mouth to keep it from closing (I had to bite on it), and as a result, I have this huge hole/canker sore in the back of my mouth now (doesn't hurt, but it's just weird having a hole that big in the back). Most dentists I know do not have to use plastic things to keep your mouth open.... Anyway, proceed with caution. Although they were able to get me in on within hours to look at a chipped crown, the experience was less than pleasant. I called around 4:45 and was given a 6:30 appointment, after confirming the address with the receptionist I asked if there was anything else I needed to know. She said, No the address would get me to the right place. My GPS got me there perfectly, however, once in the parking garage for building (valet only), the attendant asked me how long I would be. I told him I had a 6:30 appointment and wasn't sure how long it would be. He told me that I needed to park somewhere else since they close at 7:00, it was 6:15. This would have been helpful to know when I asked "Is there anything else I need to know?" The attendant let me know that I could cross 6th and park at Pacific Place. I thanked him and went across the street to park. Once I found the office, the receptionist was on the phone, it seemed I bothered her to help me. Bottom line, it cost me $95 for unnecessary x-rays that the DA hurt me doing, she was also more interested in cleaning the x-ray machine than getting the ton of lead off of me in a sweltering office, she moved like a slug. The dentist came in, looked at the tooth, said Yep, it needs to be replaced. I asked if I was ok until I could talk to my dentist on Monday and he tried to convince me to spend another hour there so he could replace it. No thank you, I just wanted out of there. It also cost me $7 to park for the time I was there. I wasn't going to pay downtown Seattle parking prices to have the tooth fixed. read more

Like many things that I procrastinate in life, I had failed to find a dentist when I moved up to Seattle. So it shouldn't have come as a surprise that I had no idea where to go when I had a tooth go from bad pain to horrible pain within a couple days and nowhere to turn. A friend recommended Emergency Dental Care USA in downtown Seattle. She had gotten emergency dental work done there and said that it was pretty affordable. I was skeptical of any place that offers "emergency" care, because to me that equals $$$$, but I was glad that I took her advice. I was able to be seen by Dr. Huang (whom I highly recommend) the same day that I called. It turns out that I needed a root canal, which I was also able to get done that day. I didn't feel a thing (thanks to novocaine), and I have to say that it was one of my better dental experiences. By the time I walked out the door, I was only paying $800 after insurance for x-rays, the root canal, and the molded crown, which I came back to get 2 weeks later. Not bad at all! I am using to paying upwards of $2,500 for a root canal and crown. The views from the patient rooms are pretty sweet. I was really impressed with Dr. Huang's friendliness and professionalism. She was caring, sweet, and very gentle with me. In fact, everyone at this location was super friendly and nice from the receptionist (who helped explain payment options, etc.) to the dental assistant, who took my x-rays, did my crown molding, and assisted with my root canal. They offer payment plans through Care Credit, which is also a great way to finance pet care as well. It's amazing to have the flexibility to pay over time when you are talking about expensive services. Emergency Dental Care not only performs emergency work but will also assist with any follow-up and regular dental work, including cleanings. I will definitely be back after my experience here, and I think Dr. Huang is for keeps! read more

Yes, this place is very convenient & looking very professional from exterior if you live or work in downtown. Yes, I guess my bill was included for the location. I included the receipts of the unreasonable price of $425 total. Service/front desk and wait time duration were very unacceptable as well. The lab was in was very outdated-wall paint started coming off and so on. Again, I thought I was paying for the cost of being downtown atmosphere.... They called the day before to make sure we were all good to go for my appointment and when I showed up they were the most kind and professional office I have ever been in. The staff is incredible. I had Sadie, Erica and Dr. John West working on my tooth and I never felt any pain or discomfort. The continuously made sure I was comfortable and explained every step. Unfortunately my experience at emergency dental care USA was a solid one star. I needed an emergency crown due to tooth trauma that resulted in a broken tooth. When I arrived I was in a lot of pain. The price was high (5x the cost of my dentist) but I agreed. Half way into the procedure the dentist was no longer around, as he was literally playing guitar and singing in a room directly behind my treatment room. And he continued for a long time (hour +). Meanwhile an assistant worked on my tooth for roughly an hour, and the dentist never came back to check. While a dentist playing music during a procedure may be cool and fine, leaving the patient for all of this time with an assistant and never checking the quality of the work throughout or at the end, was really not okay - especially given the very high price and after procedure defects and nonstop pain ever since this procedure was complete. During the procedure I kept having my airway blocked by gauze and literally could barely breath. Whenever I mentioned this, it was disregarded and continued without change. There was also no air conditioning in the clinic - everyone was hot including the staff. After I left and the pain medicine wore off I found a large amount of dried cement on the tooth that was jagged and totally missed by the assistant. Pain began immediately and continued 24/7 for close to a month. Finally when the permanent crown came in I called 15+ times to schedule the crown installation with no call backs ever. When I finally reached the clinic and scheduled a time and arrived, the front desk staff was so unkind. In fact while I was in pain and waiting for the procedure they refused to even let me quickly use the restroom as I was about to begin the procedure - saying I would have to use a restroom at an adjacent building - 5 floors up. Since they have a convenient restroom in the clinic that they allowed use of before, this was a shock. Have you ever been to a dentist who refused use of a restroom? I definitely have not. The front desks response was "well they should have never let you use it in the first place" which was said in an angry and frustrated tone. Given the overall experience I asked to be called by a manager and left without completing service (it's not very reassuring to have your teeth worked on when the clinic staff are so argumentative and seemingly angry), plus given the prior experience and awful post care service, it was truly time to run). They didn't care I was leaving and just said I still had to pay. I called and text their support line and the clinic itself roughly 20+ times over several weeks and was promised call backs which never came (i reported my concerns about quality of care etc., no one ever called back). I ended up going to my regular dentist to complete the job (he had to start over), and there was so much cleanup to do on the very painful tooth. All is well now and I will never go back to this clinic ever again. I would rather endure the pain and wait for my clinic to open in case of emergency. The clinic continues to bill me for work not completed as well (the permanent crown was never installed). And of course, they refuse to even discuss this (no call backs, ever). Live and learn. **update: it's been a few days since this review and the office manager called it. It was a pleasant call and she seemed genuinely concerned with my experience. Based on this I am raising the star rating from 1 to 2. There is no positive outcome to be achieved but acknowledgement of the issues is a plus. read more

I have been to this office twice (once for me, once for my husband) and it has been incredibly terrible every time! And we never even made it far enough with them to get a procedure done! The blonde front desk woman is unbelievably rude. I dealt with her both times and it was unreal. She is unfortunately maybe just a miserable person, but when you are in severe tooth pain and trying to navigate dental work without insurance even the SLIGHTEST patience and customer service would be appreciated... she doesn't seem to have either of those things. Also important to note that we made a 1 o'clock appointment, arrived at 12:45, and were not seen until after 2 o'clock! They are also insanely expensive. These people are trying to gouge you because you're in a dire situation and might be willing to pay it. They tried to charge $125 for the exam and then said we had to pay ANOTHER $150 for xrays. I didn't even want to see what the actual extraction was going to cost then! All payments up front with no payment plan options, too. Once we were quoted we got our $125 for the exam fee back and took our money elsewhere. Went to 8 to 8 dental on broadway and were seen within the hour without an appointment. It was a total of $300 including the extraction price, and that gave us follow up visits for free, too. Just take your money elsewhere there are many options much better than this! The team here saved me! I was having SEVERE tooth pain and the first dentist I went to gave me antibiotics and sent me home. The next day, I came to these guys, they pulled the tooth and 24 hours later the pain is gone. They were all so kind and patient with me and I'm so grateful that they got me in on such short notice. read more

I had to get an emergency wisdom tooth extraction because I had gotten an infection. They got me in that same day (or very next day, I don't remember) which was pretty cool. When I first walked into the office, the lady sitting in the reception area wasn't super nice...kind of condescending air to her...and then there was this young looking Indian man chilling behind her with both of his feet crossed and up on the counter. I thought to myself, "Who's this kid back there straight chillin? Shouldn't he at least pretend to have manners and act decent in a professional dental office where he's in plain sight to customers?" Turns out he was the dentist who'd be performing my extraction LOL. He did a fine job, the dental assistant (very nice lady) did a fine job also. It hurt like hell (tons of pressure of him YANKKKKINGGG that tooth out of my head--this is normal I think) and I wish I could've been put completely under for it, but oh well. It got taken care of promptly nonetheless, which is all I really hoped for. The casual dentist was nice, but I wish he had been more caring and thorough with instructions following the procedure. Like a loving grandpa or something. It felt like he was just like, "Deuces!" and dipped. The receptionist, despite sounding a little impatient with my question asking and ignorance, at least offered the most helpful advice about what I should do to take proper care of it. Ten days later I returned to the office because I was still experiencing pain. I called and came in and they told me to come in within 30 minutes of the call (yay!). Only about 15 minutes waiting in the waiting room while the dentist on duty was finishing up another procedure and I was seen! Dr. Atwood kindly informed me that I had dry socket--ugh. He stuffed a collagen cube into the socket (slight ouchie) to seal the exposed nerves/bone and I was good to go. No cost at all for the visit or the collagen cube. Healed up fine within the next 4 days. Overall decent experience and I would come again if I had another emergency. read more

I had a tooth that broke and my root was exposed. I WAS DYING! I made an appointment online and was able to be seen that same day. I arrived early and was seen at my scheduled time with no extra waiting. The Receptionist was great. It's never fun to discuss money but she took care of everything. She contacted my insurance Company, gave me the breakdown of what my responsibility would be. When I told her I couldn't afford the entire amount for the much needed root canal upfront, she worked with me on a payment plan that worked for me. The Dental Assistants were attentive and welcoming. Dr. Atwood performed my root canal that same day. I couldn't believe it. I walked in expecting I would have to save my money and reschedule the procedure for another day. But here I was getting it all taken care of at once! I am so grateful to Dr. Atwood and supporting Staff. They really took good care of me. Yes, I recommend Emergency Dental Care USA to anyone who needs emergency work. They are open on weekends and are open later than most dental offices I found which is incredibly convenient. read more

Surprising to see some negative reviews, because my experience was nothing short of amazing (minus the tooth extraction). I had some impacted wisdom teeth that I waited way too long to get out and it caused some damage to my back left molar. I let it go because I was out of insurance benefits and didn't want to pay out of pocket. The pain became excruciating and I had to either suck it up and wait until January and just pay. Luckily, I have an HSA that I had no idea about and it took care of the bill. This was. Friday and my regular dentist is closed and I had to do something about it. I called the office and talked to Teressa, the office manager. She was polite and said I could come in at that moment. Upon arrival, I was seen immediately by Dr. Shorey and Satin, the Dental Assistant. All 3 were amazing. Teressa was thorough in explaining my cost options at that time and the future. I was super hesitant about my options because it was either a root canal that could possibly be unsuccessful or not last very long or a tooth extraction and implant down the road. After talking with Teresa for literally 30 minutes, I came to conclusion that extraction with an implant was best. Satin, the Dental Assistant, was also amazing. She was professional and kind and we got on the topic of being from the south and what we missed, why we moved from the south, etc. I was pretty uneasy about getting the tooth extracted, but the conversation and connection to home, gave me something to think about other than my throbbing tooth. Dr. Shorey was also amazing. He was 100% thorough in explaining everything from front to back and side to side. I had way too many questions and he was more than happy to answer anything I threw him. After debating for a while on what to do, he helped explain everything and my options as well and eventually help lead me to make the decision that was best for me. From the office staff, medical staff, and dentist, I 100% recommend considering Emergency Dental Care for any problems you might be having with you Dental health. As a matter of fact, I inquired if they see patients for cleaning and routine check-ups, and although they don't have hygienists, the dentists will do cleanings. Found a new dentist in the process of a dental emergency and couldn't be happier (minus the tooth extraction)! read more

I will be coming here for non-emergency care now going forward! Great staff and great - experience even being in so much pain! I woke up in excruciating pain thinking I needed an emergency root canal. I was really worried about how much emergency services would cost, but felt at ease with all the financing options and ways the website told me they would work with me. I requested an appointment online in the middle of the night for their first opening in the AM! Theresa was wonderful and called me right away to confirm my appointment. My normal dentist out in Issaquah who I had seen for years didn't answer my 10 phone calls over the course of an hour so I was so frustrated! I was running late for a meeting so she even did her best to hold over my time slot for me. Since I did end up running a little late, someone else had to get started, but Theresa from the front desk came back with me and took my x-rays and kept me company while I waited. The wait time was a little long (because I was late - my fault), but I was so thankful to have someone who just chatted like a good friend that entire time and it really helped take my mind off the pain. Dr. Shorey helped me immediately and showed me the source of the pain and things my own dentist never even pointed out to me, like how I clench so hard I'm causing cracks in my own teeth! My own dentist never noticed this. Other reviews say the receptionist is "extremely rude" and I disagree with this. She has been doing this for a very long time and is super knowledgeable. She comes across straight to business, because this is her job. She knows her stuff and pointed out things in my x-rays before the doctor came back and was spot on. When you start to chat with her, she is beyond kind and even gave me a follow up call within 2 hours after I left to give me information about something I asked for. I received an emergency extraction on December 24th 2016 (Merry Christmas to me). I paid in full at the time of service. I was changing insurance at the time, so a few weeks later, called back with my current insurance info. I contacted my insurance company, and was told that the claim was approved, and that I needed to refer back to Emergency Dental, to receive reimbursement. This was in February/March. I spoke with Teresa, who stated that it was being processed, and usually takes 8 weeks to receive a check. So I put it on calendar to call back 8 weeks later, if I hadn't received the check. Come May, no check. I called Teresa who stated that the check "was due to be sent out during the next cycle". No indication of what that cycle was. This was 8 weeks ago. Sixteen weeks from initial contact, and 7 months since the procedure. I've called and spoken to Teresa seven (SEVEN) times since, and have been told the same thing, that it's due to be sent out. No further information, no desire to resolve my issue, and most importantly, no check. I'm not looking for an apology or understanding. At this point, I just want my $500. read more

Pros - Saw me in a moments notice. The nurse was extremely nice and courteous. The doctor relieved me of my tooth pain. Cons - Extremely Rude receptionist. Doctor was dismissive of anything that I had to say. Had no sense of courtesy when their pain killer injections were extremely painful to begin with. No discussion about post op care, just gave me a piece of paper to read. A very average experience for a dentist's place. read more
