Great job! Customer service which is important. Look new. The price was good. Not that expensive. Would suggest you visit and check him out.

I have deemed Craig the official plastic surgeon of Cobblers because he's the only person I know…read morethat can transform a boot from utter shambles and make it look almost brand new. I recently got these boots and they've now turned into my favorite pair. Over the holidays, I went to a bar and my heel got stuck in the vent. Not once but twice in the same night! Suffice to say, the heels were wrecked! I already knew I would need the bottom repaired but wasn't sure if anything could be done about the scuffs on the heel since I've never been able to have them repaired before. I usually take them to the cobbler on Olive, but after the reading the reviews for this location and people commenting on him restoring the part of the heel I needed, I decided to give them a shot. Upon walking in, I noticed it had a similar layout to the one in Creve Coeur except it's bigger. They have a ton of various items from boot inserts, shoe stretchers, polish, and etc. Craig came out and asked how he could help. I explained that these were my favorite pair of boots and asked about getting the heel fixed. He said he could take care of it no problem, but then took it a step further and mentioned how he could probably clean the heel up as well! I was excited and intrigued, especially since no one has ever been able to do it before. He quoted me at $25.00 (paid upfront), told me what the service would entail, gave me my receipt, and said I could pick it up Tuesday. So Tuesday came and I went to pick them up. When he handed them to me, I was in utter shock. Not only did he fix the heel BUT he managed to repair the leather on the heel and eliminate the scuffs, tears, and stains. I thanked him profusely because I was so happy with what he had done. Being the humble guy he is, he said it wasn't a big deal and insists he could have done a better job. Craig literally brought my boots back to life and did it in record time! Additionally, I have the utmost respect for him since he works alone! I can't wait to have him work on more heels and boots. I can't recommend him enough.

Strangely angry over the phone. Wanted to ask questions but deferred due to owner's aggression…read more Pretty good work on the shoes though!

Erlich's Quality Shoe Repair & Dyeing - After paying $30 to have these cleaned and repaired, they look EXACTLY the same as they when I dropped them off.

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING HERE PLEASE READ THIS!!! STAY AWAY!!!…read more I went here to get 5 pairs of shoes refinished. 6 weeks later I still do not have back my shoes, and two pairs have been RUINED!!! 1) The first time I dropped off my shoes a man named Melvin was the only one at the shop. He took my shoes with a $30 deposit and was unable to give me exact pricing on how much the shoes would be to fix. I left the shoes with him and Reed, the shoe guy was supposed to call me with an exact price. There was a phone call 5 days later and we figured out the pricing. 2) Two weeks later I call to pick up the shoes. The shoes have not been touched because apparently they want more for the deposit. This was never discussed with Reed when we went over the pricing. I have to go in a second time to give them $60 to start working on the shoes. 3) Two weeks later I go to pick up shoes (now a total of 5 weeks) and there seems to be nothing done to some pairs and two pairs look like they have been SPRAY PAINTED. Jeanie is the only one at the store today. She agrees the shoes look in bad shape and tells me to come in 4 days later when Reed will be back. She knows nothing about the shoes 4) Over six weeks after my shoes have been dropped off I go to see Reed to demand my money back. The repair job was laughable. - the soles of 2 pairs were spray painted - there was a rip in a pair of boots that they tried to glue together instead of sew - the shoes that were supposed to be cleaned look the EXACT same as when I dropped them off. I really don't think they were even touched. - I asked them to glue the toe of the soles in some areas and it wasn't done. Reed tells me he cannot refund my money because he does not know what the shoes looked like when they cam in. Keeping in mind Jeanie has told me to wait a week for Reed to be in so he can refund my money. I called the day before I went there to make sure Reed knew I was coming in to get a refund on my money. Reed knew nothing of this. Reed tells me I have to come back to talk to Mr Erlich. That would make it 5th time going to that place. I feel pictures speak volumes so I am uploading some proof of their TERRIBLE work. No one takes responsibility. No one knows whats going on. Their work is TERRIBLE. Please, for your own sake, DO NOT GO HERE!!!
