We were very disappointed with this restaurant. Server was friendly, but that was pretty much the highlight of this visit. Restroom was absolutely nasty and looked like hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Gross, absolutely disgusting and entirely unacceptable. Food was bland and not good quality. I had chicken fried steak. It was small, ridiculously thin, with very thick and tough breading. Gravy had no flavor and was too thin. Tater tots were the best thing on my plate and thankfully I was served a generous portion. Wife had beef tips over rice. Plain white rice had no seasoning whatsoever and sapped what little little flavor there was in the beef tips. Pinto beans were under cooked and tough. Green beans had Italian dressing in them which was just "weird". Dinner roll was so tough and dry wife didn't eat it. Instant mashed potatoes with no gravy or butter offered. Desert came with Wife's meal. It was plain yellow dry cake mix with chocolate frosting. Avoid this place. Keep driving. read more

The restaurant is located right off the highway. I had a great southern style breakfast. In order to find out the chef knows how to cook properly is when you order eggs at the restaurant. The Norman 44 was great!! They passed my egg testing. My over easy eggs and grits with biscuits and gravy were so good. A lot of food for one single order. My friend ordered a daily special. It was the chicken fried steak with three sizes. It was the biggest and thickest chicken fried steaks I never seen and the gravy was so good. The waitress was very friendly and atmosphere at this restaurant was very laid-back southern style. I really enjoyed having lunch for breakfast there and I'm very picky when it comes to egg how they cook. They know how to cook eggs for breakfast. I had the best over easy fried eggs. read more

I got the cheese burger with bacon and fries and I quickly devoured that stuff up my mom got the same but with a different sauce and my best friend got a chicken sandwich with mayo and cheese and pickles with fries and I got a Dr Pepper and so did my bestie and my mom got Diet Pepsi and we all had a good feast/meal, the service was amazing!!!! We stopped for breakfast and the biscuits were soooo bad! They came out looking very flat and dense. Not a good taste either. Inedible! The gravy was just fair. The chicken fried steak had a very thick crust. I got a two egg meal with bacon, hash browns and biscuit and it was $13. I feel like that price was too high--especially since the biscuit was so bad. We were really hungry and needed to eat before diamond hunting. Started looking on Google for places on the way and came upon Norman's. It's located at a truck stop and looked like the locals frequent. Our server was super, answered all my questions, and made sure mayo didn't get anywhere near the hubs 44 Burger. I got the country fried steak sandwich and holy moly.... it was huge and delicious... lots of mayo for me. The Cajun fries were crispy and seasoned well. I really wanted cake with peanut butter icing but had no room. Inside is your normal open dining seating. Every day, you can get 1 meat and 3 sides for $11.99. You can't beat that price. Dirty place and the food was kinda bland. The coffee wasn't very good either. The syrup and sugar container were both dirty. The bathrooms walls are really thin you can hear the other bathroom. The faucet is loose and shaky. You can see a wire hanging down from the ceiling. read more

Food is awesome, daily specials. Very friendly customer service, not a long wait. I'm very pleased. It's in Prescott Arkansas. We are truckers, and we make it a point if we're in the area to eat here. All this for $10.75. Lasagna, three sides, cornbread or roll, piece of cake and water. read more

A nice place to stop and get a bite to eat. Looked like a few regulars there eating the lunch special. A home cooked meal that looked inviting. But, we opted for a tasty hamburger with onion rings and hubs ordered a Mexican omelet which he enjoyed also. The place was very clean and the waitress was attentive to us. Conveniently located off Interstate 30. Not sure if new owners but looks like renovations in progress. New tables, ceiling, flooring, walls and paint and looked like putting in an outside dining patio too. Would definitely stop here again our next trip to lake Greeson. read more

Their food was just "okay. Biscuits were awful. Hard...not fluffy like they should have been. There was food on the floor not cleaned up and the waitress was taking her time cleaning the tables. Burnt onion rings. Dirty windows and flies and sticky floors. The other times we have gone the food was spectacular tables and everything clean..place was jam packed with people and when we went there was hardly anyone there. What has happened here? This is a truck-stop diner in the middle of nowhere, and is truly horrible. Despite having windows, it somehow stays very dark and dank during all hours of the day. Everyone there except for us were truckers (which I guess is the point of a truck-stop), but being surrounded by people who were overtly unhappy the whole time doesn't help at all with my appetite. And the waitress didn't make things any better. Even though she looked as if she had been a server in this establishment for several decades, she simply could not recommend a single dish (which gives you a hint of the food quality). We eventually settled on Steak Sandwiches, stereotyping trucker drivers as steak eaters and thus assuming that the steak would have to be passable. I guess "steak" in truck-speak means "chicken fried steak" because that is exactly what it was. If you don't know what that means, it means they take a cooked steak, and then deep-fry it. Not a good combination. Then, to top off the sandwich, they add a ton of mayo, just in case the chicken fried steak isn't enough to kill you. Neither of us were able to finish our food, and still spent the rest of the day uncomfortably digesting. Stay away. read more

Old school truck stop vibe. There's always parking for your rig. The parking lots a bit rough but nothing my low boy has an issue with. This restaurant is close to America's Best Value Inn where I was staying. It's a truck stop diner and they still allow smoking in the building. The food was typical truck stop food, but was good for what it was. Prices were decent and the waitress was friendly. Good place to go if you want a quick bite to eat that isn't a drive-thru. We stopped here on our journey south from mid Arkansas. The new reviews were enticing and they didn't disappoint. Everyone should note that ALL REVIEWS BEFORE 2021 ARE OUTDATED. Restaurant has new owners and fresh, new dining area. Some renovations are still ongoing or yet to begin but shows great promise. The staff was great. 1 friendly waitress, who took pride in her work. The cook was equally accommodating. I wouldn't have even noticed, but one of my over easy eggs busted and she made another one that came out right after my plate was delivered. Her Pancakes are HUGE. Boys could barely eat 1 apiece. Husband had the daily special of county fried steak, veggies and strawberry cake that he was happy with. We were happy with our stop. What a dump! As you open the door you're bowled over by the stink of cigarette smoke. And you will hear banjos playing. The food is horrible. I had an alleged ribeye steak. It was not a ribeye. It was way overcooked and curled up on the edges like bacon. The German chocolate cake for dessert was four bites at most. It looked more like a sample than a dessert. The entire staff might have eight teeth between them. But if you like bad tattoos, this is the place for you. read more

Place has been cleaned up and a remodeled looks almost complete and the service was fantastic as was the food and the prices. All them old reviews don't do it any justification at all. It is still a truck stop like diner but that's why I am here. Only down side I would have to say is that it's not 24 hours any longer. They open at 6am which sucks for me as I have to head back out on the road at 5am so only dinner for me today. Give it a chance. read more

This place has some bad reviews, but it seems like mainly from people scared of truckers and cigarettes. The food was nice with big portions. But what really impressed me was the service! Both the women working there when we came in relatively late were so great! I felt like I left with new friends. They were attentive, beyond friendly, and steered us in a great direction on what to get! The burgers we got were very lovely, and the fries and baked potato were also very nice. If you're coming through the area, especially if it's late, give it a shot! read more
