A friend of mine who I used to work with at WALMART told me about Norma's Cafe. I have been going to there for quite some time. I don't go every day but I try to go once a month. My favorite food that I liked to order is Chiaquile. It's so delicious and hot plus a little spicy. It comes with rice and beans with sour cream. But they only serve it every other Sunday. They have other breakfast and lunch items on their menu. I have try different items and have never walked away unhappy. The open early in morning and close at 3 except on Sunday they close at 1. Drop by this little restaurant today had normal average breakfast. The price is good.... , I ordered a waffle... I don't know why I was expecting a Belgian waffle which is more thicker than the waffle that they served but it was good. I am a fan of fresh potatoes especially for breakfast places and if you are like me that is the place he uses fresh potatoes for his hash brown.. I here that this restaurant has been there for 40 years.. But I do have one little suggestion only because I've been in the restaurant business for a long time. I would change that oil and use a butter flavor oil, especially with the eggs. I know it's a little more expensive but you can have so much flavor even for eggs...... read more

Don't believe anything these 5 star reviews say about this place because chances are that these accounts are ran by staff or are fake. If your going into this place with the idea of having a nice family fun breakfast then your sorely mistaken, you would have a better chance getting all of this at Denny's which honestly is what should've happened. The service wasn't anything bad mediocre at best they only had about 2 maybe 3 servers on the floor. It seemed like they were more concerned about getting people in-out of the establishment instead of overall service. With the variety of selection of different breakfast, lunches, & dinners does not excuse the quality of the food itself. The coffee was extremely bland even as straight black. I ordered the 2 pancakes with scrambled eggs and 2 sausage links. The Pancakes tasted as they had been taken out of a freezer, refried and served. With the absurdly stupid size of these pancakes it does not compensate for the texture or the flavor of it in the slightest to where i had to constantly drench them in syrup to get any type of enjoyment out of them because it was soaking it up like a sponge. The eggs not only tasted like they have been microwaved which I'm %100 sure because they were cold when I got them, they only serve you 1 EGG, and this isn't a meal sized portion either it's 1 EGG. Alongside its smaller counterparts the sausage links, you could find better flavorful ones in a kids qusine there isn't much to say about that. This place is for people in the local area that can't afford transportation and elderly folk with Alzheimer's I would highly not recommend this diner for anyone else but those exact people. I wouldn't be surprised if they delete this review all together. If I could put no stars I would. They need to change the name of this place to Nomore Cafe. Hello there again. No Norma Café has been staple for quite a few years. I remember going early when the restaurant first open. It was a very good restaurant to go to. However, the present owners believe their cooks. Breakfast is OK. Not a ride home about. Don't look for the great breakfast in the morning because you'll not get it there. It's OK it fills a hole.. They need a new Cook. This guy is not a great cook at all. It is six-year-old that could do better than that. This is another Restaurant who has come and gone. I was pretty excited for how close this place was to home. It's definitely a diner atmosphere. Nothing fancy, lots of locals. Which is great. I was disappointed in the biscuits and gravy. I have been a couple of times and it has never really impressed me as a great place to eat. But due to fact that we were visiting down the street and my buddy's choice of breakfast food, this was the place for breakfast. I base a lot on my meal on the coffee and how it is served. A good bottomless cup of good coffee can make up for a so-so meal. Sat down and ordered a cup of decaf, I was told that it would take a few moments to finish brewing. Okay I can wait a little. But when the coffee was brought to the table, no amount of cream good make that coffee lighten up. Even the refill was rough to shallow, I swear she must have doubled the amount of grounds in the coffee maker. Also they only put the minimum amount creamers and sugar substitute on the table. Had to get up and take from the other tables. Ordered a basic omelet and toast, which was delivered to the table nice and hot. Put due to the air conditioner blowing down on the table the food got cold and a bit to the greasy side. All in all, the staff is friendly and the meal was brought to the table fairly quick. Came here for Sunday breakfast with a group of friends after Halloween 2013 festivities. It was highly recommended by previous patrons in our group, so off we went. Norma's did not disappoint. It's your standard fare for a diner, but there are a few creative options. All food was served warm and CORRECT (which can be a problem with these places) so I will return next time I tie one on in Lockport area, lol. Also, the staff was friendly. Tldr good food vet staff  Norma cafe is a small cash only diner which strikes me as a local gem, judging by the clientele.  Unassuming as a seat yourself place.  With a choice of tables, a 4 person breakfast counter, or surprising hard wood booths. The veteran staff delivers good coffee and seem to always be making. Refill rounds.  Sadly the creamer and sugar are prepackaged but it does fit this vibe of the place. This place is great for breakfast, they have a decent sized menu and really good omlettes. The prices are really reasonable too and the service is really fast......it usually only takes less than 10 minutes for them to bring my food after I ordered. And the wait staff is very attentive, they are always looking to top off my coffee...which keeps me coming back. I like this place too because it's not a snooty restaurant just down to earth hard working people....it's definitly a blue collar place...although the suits know a good place when they see one because they're always in here too. I went to Norma's because I had been twice before...let me tell you today was horrible... Its a small place.. Only two servers... You seat yourself and then they bring you menus...however it took 5 Minutes for the two servers to argue about who's turn it was...wow how welcoming... Food was made burnt... Try to get your server..good luck...we took food up to cook ourselves..server thought it was ok to tell us they needed to get rid of other server... I tried Norma's today. Had bacon, pancakes, eggs with cheeses, and potatoes. The bacon was crispy but little. The pancakes were big but didn't give that "wow" factor in taste or flavor. I fell in love with this place as soon as I saw the menu. And then they sealed the deal with their friendly service and delicious food. Chicken noodle soup was great. I love the variety of choices on the menu - skillets, tacos, sandwiches, burgers, classic diner fare (breakfast and lunch) and more. The specials of the day were spaghetti and meatballs, egg salad sandwich, sloppy joes. Yum. Both the egg salad and sloppy joes were perfect. The skillets were HUGE. If you order a beverage, you get a nice big TALL glass instead of those little tiny kiddie glasses a lot of places now like to serve. Good place for breakfast, but then they threw a curve ball at me when I saw a male employee using the women's bathroom!!! Ugh. Very disturbing, will not be going back. I addressed the issue with the waitress who indicated it was her brother and not to worry because he was clean!!! That made me even more ill. Not sure if there are any regulations on this, but I won't be going back, that grossed me out. In addition, her reasoning on why he uses the women's bathroom is gross enough, "cuz the women's bathroom is cleaner" ewwwww than clean the other one up!!!! Will not be going back. I've been having breakfast here with friends every Sunday for some time now, and I love this place. The servers know you when you come in and they remember what you like and they're bringing me a drink as soon as I sit down at a table. Its a small little place with a large group of regulars I see every time I eat there. They have seriously some of the best pancakes ever, they're big but not heavy and there's butter already melting over it when you are served. used to come here all the time for lunch and moved away, now I'm back & I'm glad they're still here. It's a great little place to eat. Everything is always good and I always seem to have to get a take home box cause I never can finish what I order. The service hasn't changed, the staff is fast & friendly always keeping my coffee filled and I think the food comes out faster now.
