How does this place have 4.5 stars??? I had the fried chicken with bacon and cheese on a biscuit smothered in gravy and a side of cheese grits that had zero salt. You have to salt the water when you cook grits. The only good item was the gravy. The bacon was soggy and too salty to enjoy. The chicken was dry as a bone and the biscuits were crazy small and hard. The server was nice but seemed too busy to handle the amount of tables she was responsible for. The decor was cute, im not a fan of the AI generated menus because it makes the food look like cartoons and it doesnt look anything like the actual food. Overall this is for senior citizens that have lost their sense of taste. Wouldn't recommend.

Been coming to BEE BROTHERS for about over seven years since we retired out this way when we first started, the pork chops and eggs had the WOW factor, but the last couple times the pork chops were kinda overcooked, but other than that, the service, the staff the food is on point other than over, cooking the pork chops that's my only complaint Overall, this is a nice friendly happy place great for breakfast and lunch huge selections on the menu always something for everybody's taste buds and I forgot to mention when we need our pork belly bacon fix this is the place to come THANK YOU SPIVEY AND ANDY U GUYS ROCK

My second time here, four years ago the food was room temperature and today wasn't much better. Server was terrible, didn't come around once with coffee and when she finally reappeared I asked for coffee. It seemed she forgot about it, but finally she did fill it. She dropped stuff on the floor and didn't bother picking it up. Another waitress picked it up the first time and a customer picked it up the second time. Sorry two strikes and you are out.

We had such a great breakfast last week. We decided to come back. There was so much on the menu that we wanted to try. I was able to get a better feel of The food.. I really like the server. Liz, I feel that I can be a difficult customer But anything asked for she is very cool and collective and doesn't seem to get nervous.. she is a top server.. today we ordered the Southwest Skillet, half sandwich and soup combo.. traditional eggs and sausage fresh biscuits with the honey butter... Strawberry lemonade.... They have a lot of fresh desserts up front in the pie case from baklava to tiramisu and cannolis You can also buy their raw honey..... Just one complaint you need fresh potatoes. Nothing better to compliment your breakfast, food than to use real hash browns. I think that would bring you over the top..

This was our second time coming here within a month. It's a bright and cheerful atmosphere that's definitely a nice place to start your day off. Cute decor of bees and quite a bit of seating. The biscuits were okay and the pumpkin croissant was a bust because it was cold and dry but otherwise everything else we've had so far was delicious. Hence why we returned in a month and will go back again.

Adorable place and very creative menu. It's really nice to find a brunch spot that thinks outside the box of the traditional menu. Great flavor combos! I loved my pistachio decaf coffee. They had (seemingly!) healthier options too. I can't do the traditional heavy breakfasts everyone wants you to want, so them having offerings that were really all over the board was super helpful for a lighter eater like me. 10/10 would return!

March special - Hot honey chicken and waffles

Decided to go out for Friday breakfast. At 8:30am there was alot of parking spaces open. There was no wait and sat down right away. Water was brought to the table and coffee. On the menu for their march special was the hot honey chicken and waffles. It also came with a side of hashbrown or house potatoes. The chicken had good flavor, not spicy at all for me, the bacon on stop was good, and the hashbrowns cooked perfectly. The coffee refills kept coming, and everyone was friendly.

Great and fast service - enjoying their monthly brunch cocktail options. Biscuits and gravy were very good as well. Service was speedy and friendly.

Place is over priced and not the cleanest place to eat. Check the bath rooms. If the Bath rooms are dirty so is the kitchen.

Do we need reservations for Saturday?

I went on a Saturday and I was able to get a table right away and I was there around 12:30 or so. I would say no but then it would also depend on what time you decide to go.

    Do you guys offer Mimosa's?

    Yes we do!

Do they have any vegan menu items? (specifically breakfast)

Yes! They have lots of options. Very healthy alternatives in power bowls and smoothies.

Portions are generous so hopefully you're very hungry or be prepared to bring plenty home. I was only able to eat half of my food and brought the other half home and my sandwich seemed better the next day which isn't always the case when you bring things home!! Dark beadboard walls, copper ceiling tiles, round orb lighting, and upstairs a cavernous space with soaring ceilings anchored by a stunning skylight. It is genuinely one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the area. Date night approved. One gripe before we get to the good stuff: if you have pages and pages of creative cocktails and an extensive wine list, your two mocktail options deserve the same love. We don't drink and the options were fine but very sour and clearly an afterthought. Do better for the sober and sober curious crowd. Now the food. The burrata was creamy, rich, and gorgeous sitting in olive oil topped with chimichurri and grilled bread. Needed more balsamic to bring the acid balance home, but honestly still one of the better burratas I've had locally. The stuffed pork with gouda, chimichurri, and saffron potato wedges was a genuinely smart plate. The saffron wedges were a surprise standout, bringing a clean earthiness that cut through the richness beautifully. A touch heavy on the gouda and the whole dish woke up considerably with a little extra salt, but the bones of it are excellent. The churrasco hanger steak told the same story. Well cooked, flavorful, chimichurri doing its job. The curly fries were the one shrug of the night. Not bad, just boring next to everything else on offer. Mike our server closed the deal by steering us toward the caramel skillet cookie and honestly, bless him for it. Warm, salty, sweet, rich, topped with cold vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. It is everything a skillet cookie should be and we scraped the pan. We are already planning the return visit and bringing friends. Barrel & Vine is an unexpected dining experience that Plainfield is lucky to have.

My husband likes meat, so we go out to eat fairly often so that my husband can get the foods that I do not allow in the house. We went to Niko's Breakfast Club and my husband loved it. There was truly nothing for me to eat except hashbrowns. They were very good, but it would have been nice if they had at least a few vegan options. Vegetarians always have plenty to eat at a breakfast spot. I believe that eggs and hashbrowns (no toast) are suitable for Celiac/gluten-free diets. They do have one gluten-free pancake. The service was fantastic! 5 stars, but they need to expand their menu offerings for people of different dietary needs/choices. I was sat immediately and my waitress took my order as soon as I was ready. Both the hostess and waitress were friendly and competent. Even the silverware was basically spotless. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. I ordered the steak skillet with diced jalapeños. When it arrived it looked fine. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and inviting. When I took my first forkful it went downhill fast. The steak was cut into unappetizing kibble sized pieces. After eating a few bites I encountered my one and only sizeable piece of green pepper. Curious I took the eggs off the top of the rest of the skillet and then lost my appetite. Before me was a brown mess of ingredients. I order meals with a healthy amount of freshies in order to have something fresh and not too heavy, fatty or greasy. This was all of those. I finished the eggs and pushed brown pile away.
