This is the cutest little sandwich shoppe in the heart of Plant City. The food all looked delicious and what we ordered was so good. I had been wanting to visit here for a while and now I can't wait to come back. They have Bowls, Wraps, Salads, Tacos, Sandwiches and Burritos with a variety of fillings bot hot and cold. The Turkey Club wrap with crispy bacon was filled with fresh ingredients including cheese and a sundried tomato aoli. The Cuban Burrito with chicken and pork was a great combination and it included yellow rice and black beans inside it. There is also a good variety of sides that go well with the meal. My wife and I have been here a few times. The service is very good the staff really friendly. My wife loves the turkey with Swiss cheese. She said it was one of the best she has had 9.2. Stumbled upon this unassuming hole-in-the wall type places in downtown Plant City - little did I know it would be one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The chicken Caesar salad was hands down the best I've ever had--perfectly cooked chicken, fresh ingredients, and a dressing that was spot on. I also have to mention the bread they use for their sandwiches--it's outstanding and really takes everything to the next level. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food. Norma's is a solid choice for a sandwich in downtown Plant City. My wife and I stopped in here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. After our first choice for lunch wasn't opened, we found it a perfect opportunity to try something new that we've been meaning to try anyway. Norma's in Plant City. We walked into a quiet, small restaurant. Tables and chairs scattered about. Room for maybe 20 people or so to eat. We walked up to the counter and looked over the menu. A friendly gentleman came out and greeted us. My wife went with the Cuban, the original, not Norma's version. I went with the Philly Cheesesteak that was made with brisket. My wife got black beans and rice as a side, and I did fried yuca. For dessert, we grabbed one of their peanut butter rice crispies topped with chocolate. The food didn't take long. As we waited, we looked around. Like other places in Plant City, this restaurant takes pride in the history of its location, the walls adorned with photos from the past. The farmhouse vibe with wooden shelves and metal chairs was comfy and inviting although outdated as far as trends go these days. The food was served in plastic baskets. The bread was soft and fresh. My cheesesteak had good flavor but was mostly toppings. Lots of lettuce, tomato, some onion, banana peppers and cheese. The brisket was few and far between. I may have gotten two good bites of meat for a sandwich that has meat in the name of it. The Yuca fries were good. Crunchy, well-seasoned and served with a garlic aioli on the side. You can get the exact same yuca fries and dipping sauce at Hemingway's at Armature Works in Tampa. My wife enjoyed her Cuban. The traditional Cuban is served with shredded mojo pork, as opposed to Norma's version, that has sliced deli pork. The traditional Cuban also had lettuce and tomato on it, which many would argue, isn't traditional. Either way, my wife enjoyed the sandwich. The black beans and rice side was a decent serving and was tasty. In the end, we enjoyed our meal and we were glad we tried this locally owned restaurant in Plant City. read more

Quaint, clean, and delicious!!! Had the Mojo tacos, so much flavor in the pork. Just the right amount of cilantro/onion. Pack of 3 is just right!! Beans and rice....had little pieces of mojo pork in it that didn't take away from the beans and rice!! I put the verde sauce in the beans and rice because that's how I like it!!! Norma's made me a Cuban today. This was the worst Cuban I have ever had. They put one slice of ham folded over. If you want to pay $3.00 for extra ham you get one more slice folded on half. I was very upset the bread split down the center, I had more bread than meat. I will not go back. read more

Found this place after a Yelp search while visiting the Dinosaur Exhibits. We loved it so much we stopped back in on our way home from Tampa on our last day. The younger girl behind the counter was extremely nice and even remembered my name on the second day when I returned. We tried the Yucca Fries which were a first for us. The chimichuri sauce that accompanied them was spot on delicious and really elevated them. The Cuban sandwich was amazing, the veggie sandwich, turkey sandwich were all flavorful and filling..the last thing we ordered was a special..beans and rice with the pork on top, it had a nice flavor as well..though I'd have to say was my least favorite of all the things we tried. We picked up an order and when we went to get it, it was almost ready. I had the Mike's Special Cup along with a stuffed potato. The cup was delicious and just perfect for lunch! I was not as happy with the stuffed potato. For the price you pay, the potato should be at least twice its size or you should get two balls for that price. I have been to other places and for the price being charged, the stuffed potato was as big as two fists put together. Well worth the price and much more meat than at Normas. The Cuban sandwiches are not what they used to be but they work. I have tried Normas three times now since being in the downtown area, but I unfortunately don't think I will again. I'm pretty particular about Cuban sandwiches. Being from Tampa and having a Cuban wife I've had my fair share of variety. Norma's Roast Cuban Whole sandwich was exactly what I hoped for. The roast pork was tender and full of flavor. The deli ham was a bit bland but was not meant to be enjoyed on its own anyway so didn't have any negative consequence on the overall flavor and deliciousness of the sandwich. I will never pass by Plant City without stopping here ever again! The mojo bowl was extremely flavorful and the cilantro crème I could drink with a straw. I rarely eat the yucca fries elsewhere because it's so easy to make them dry and tasteless, but these were absolutely perfect! This place in Plant City is a nice place to eat breakfast and Lunch. I really enjoyed their 4 course dinner that they do on the 1st Friday of every month. They prep their meals very good. The fried yuca was okay, a little tough/firm, but still edible and the green garlicky dip that comes with it is really good and made up for the texture of the yucca. My husband had a Cuban...it was fine but not memorable. Service was fine/acceptable. Clean and cheery atmosphere. Pricing is good. I really wish they would stop using all of the Styrofoam though. They need to work on their green footprint. Styrofoam NEVER breaks down in a land fill. Yep you heard me, NEVER. I mean NEVER. We had never been, so we wanted to check it out. My wife have always mentioned about this place. We had the pleasure of doing thier monthly 4 course meal. Every month Normas has a special selected meal for anyone to choose and pay in advance. This month they had several options that we really enjoyed. I will start out with the roasted duck. This plate took me by surprise. I never had duck, but the plate was delicious with the noodles and mushroom soup. Then I tried the PBJ chicken wings. At first, I wasn't into the thought of Peanut butter, but it wasn't that bad at all. It had a good flavor. Then we tried Lamb and Seared Cod with cilantro, onions and mushroom risotto. That plate was amazing and delightful. Finally, we had some banana cake pudding which wasn't a knock out for me, but it was still good.
