I'm at Norm's almost every Friday with my father. He is a regular at Norm's. Portions are great, prices are very fair, service is fantastic. If you want a real New England diner experience with the feel of an NYC diner, Norm's is the place to go. Don't be afraid to order a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg at 830 in the morning. Highly recommended! This is such a small quaint diner. The people that work there are so very friendly and you can see they have great relationships with their patrons. Unsure of the name of the cook but he has blue hair and quite a friendly sassy attitude which was very infectious. I wish we lived closer because that would be the place I'd go regularly! Perfect for a Diner Fix. We loved their Corn Beef Hash Omelette, Western Omelette, and Bacon Omelette. They have generous coffee mugs for your Java, and the hash brown and home style potatoes are good, slightly salty for our personal taste. We will definitely return when we visit this area again. Norm's Diner is pretty much the best diner experience I've ever had! It seems almost odd to give five stars to a diner, but yes, it was just that great. To start with, service was fantastic! Our waitress was super friendly, very attentive, and made our meal more pleasant. The coffee cups they give are huge which was much appreciated before a long Amtrak ride back to NYC. I had two pancakes with blueberries and bananas. Portions were huge, and I mean huge. I never thought I'd be unable to finish two pancakes, but I've met my match here. I wasn't expecting the food to be above average, so I was surprised when my breakfast special was placed in front of me, the mouthwatering garlic and bay seasoning aroma was like a kick in the stomach, I needed to get it in my mouth immediately! I went to this place after reading the wonderful reviews from my fellow yelpers! We were staying in the area for a night to do a small getaway trip to block island and the casinos and needed a breakfast spot for the morning of check out. After searching through Yelp, this spot had one of the better reviews so we decided to go here. It was a small cozy diner on the inside with a few booths and some bar stools at the counters where we sat. The cooks would cook right in front of us at the counters and we would smell everything that she was making. I got the steak omelette and it was amazing. They give a huge portion also! Norm's was a neat find this past weekend, when we visited the shoreline. If you're looking for an All-American diner, this place fits the bill. Their prices are reasonable, considering the location. My breakfast of 2 eggs, home fries and toast was $4.75 (coffee is extra). A meat, egg, and cheese on a hard roll is $4.95. Don't ask for a second meat unless you plan on adding another ~$3 to the sandwich. The sandwiches were worth at most $6, even with extra meat. Our server was pleasant enough, as were the other 2 on staff. Idk what people are saying when they say "chatty atmosphere" on reviews here or elsewhere, because I did not get that feeling from Norm's at all. The staff was pleasant, but forgettable- which isn't a bad thing either. Like I said, the prices are reasonable, but it all adds up quick. The food tasted like typical diner food, so if you like diner food, this will hit the spot- so long as your hot food comes out hot. My 2 friends got steaming hot sandwiches, while my 2 eggs, home fries and toast was on the room temp to cold side. Maybe a small heat lamp would have helped us all get hot meals. Overall, I do recommend this place for a reasonably priced diner breakfast. It blends in with other diners, and when you're looking for comfort food, that's a good thing. read more

It was a great spot with an excellent rueben. It was slammed so it was hard to get another napkin, drink etc you should definitely go and maybe they won't be super busy. Parking was easy too. Response to steve: sorry I couldn't find a way to reply to you directly... The napkin dispensers were on the table yes but there were no more napkins in it After I used the last few.
