This little café is located in an old neighborhood and is decorated with photos of the area through the ages, including the building this business presently occupies. That's fun. Counter seating is available toward the back of the space, running along a side wall where the grill is located. At the front, by the picture windows, are a few tables. As soon as we entered we were greeted and they let us know we could sit where we'd like. They also let us know the Reubens were very good here if we like those. We do like those, so that's what we got. Sandwiches here come with a bag a chips, which I love, because I usually end up taking them with me and look forward to snacking on them later. :) The restaurant is manned by the cook and one waitress. Both are very personable. The tables are set and waiting for guests. Everything is clean and tidy. The table holds your salt, pepper, hot sauce, ketchup, sugar and jelly. I ordered a coffee with cream and she brought cream to the table with the coffee; which is good by the way. We also got waters. The Rueben is Very good here. Thin slices of very lean meat, good flavor profile with the vinegar in the sauerkraut and the creamy dressing. The bread held together perfectly and was grilled without all the grease. Both of which make it much easier to eat the sandwich and enjoy all the flavors and textures. Free on street parking was easy to find. One restroom in the kitchen only is not technically for public use. We will be stopping by again. read more

Was in town, helping someone move into the area and found this local diner close by the house and stopped in for breakfast. This is truly one of those places that you wanna come back to because it has the right balance of everything good food great staff and a warm friendly environment. This is where the locals come and just pull up a barstool. Have a nice meal catch up with what's going on and just enjoy. We enjoyed blueberry pancakes, omelettes, and the three egg breakfast coffee and tea. Stumbled upon this place by chance and it was so nice, from the service to the food! We ordered corned beef hash extra crispy with 2 eggs and toast. We also ordered the dishwasher which is hash browns, chorizo, cheese, pepper and onions, with 2 eggs. The corned beef hash was perfect! I've had people tell me they can do it crispy in the past and it never is, this place CAN do it! The dishwasher was gigantic, a huge portion and tasty. My only suggestion would be to have the potato's a little more well done. In addition to all that food we also had a side of sausage and bacon. But it's not the type of place you go to if you're looking for ambiance or fancy menu items - it's straight-up breakfast. Pancakes, omelets, coffee - everything that encompasses my favorite meal of the day. The food is good, nothing spectacular, nothing special, but hearty and filling. My eggs benedict tasted better than it looked, and if you're into reubens, they serve a reuben inspired omelet - it even comes with thousand island dressing. The service was surprisingly fast since there was only one cook and one waitress working that morning. Everything on the menu, as one might expect, is affordable. They're closed on Mondays and also serve a lunch menu but if you're not into small diners that don't aim to impress, feel free to go somewhere else. The healthy portion of egg came with taco meat and tomato with a side of salsa and sour cream, served with home fries and toast. Went here for brunch last weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. What it lacks in appeal, it makes up for in overall experience. We were told to pick a seat and upon seeing that we had a toddler, they rolled around this older high chair. Our son absolutely loved it! He sat for the entire duration of our meal (an accomplishment when you have 20 month old). We had the Buford's Breakfast Sandwich on bagel and Chourico Omelette. Both were impressively good, one can tell that it is made from scratch and not your run-of-the-mill ingredients. Service was on par considering they were only a 2-woman show -- one cooks and the other seats and serves. Crowd in the restaurant seemed to be regulars, which we liked. I attended Burford's on a sunday afternoon, it wasn't super busy, they had a couple empty tables and it was seat yourself style. The service was good, the one waitress seemed to get around to everyone pretty efficiently. Coffee was good, and our food came out in a timely manner. The pancakes were THE BEST i've ever had. They're huge, I had one and it was the fluffiest most tender pancake I've ever eaten. The sausage patties were good, the bacon was good but rather thin cut. My boyfriend said the eggs were really good, and he loved the homefries, "they were delicious". We're going there again soon for the pancake challenge. read more
