Such a nice down home vibe. Clean and friendly environment. Food was outstanding and came out fast and fresh. Excellent diner coffee and the server was so kind and warm to us. Definitely check out this hidden gem!

Nothing spectacular. Very down to earth food and local charm. My friend and I had brunch there on Sunday. Hearty home cooking.

Corn beef hash, 2 eggs over medium, hash browns and rye toast

Stumbled upon this place by chance and it was so nice, from the service to the food! We ordered corned beef hash extra crispy with 2 eggs and toast. We also ordered the dishwasher which is hash browns, chorizo, cheese, pepper and onions, with 2 eggs. The corned beef hash was perfect! I've had people tell me they can do it crispy in the past and it never is, this place CAN do it! The dishwasher was gigantic, a huge portion and tasty. My only suggestion would be to have the potato's a little more well done. In addition to all that food we also had a side of sausage and bacon. The sausage was in patty's, not for me, but the bacon was well done and great!

Stopped in this local dinner while in CT this weekend. The food was great, atmosphere was that of a family style small diner. Love that more than your big box diners.. I had the dishwasher!! Yes the dishwasher lol.. It was home fries piled high with meat, cheese, onions and peppers topped off with 2 scrambled eggs. I also ordered a side of bacon and sausage !! My girlfriend had Corn beef hash that was cooked perfectly and well done just the way she likes.. The food was great the atmosphere was friendly.. parking is hard as it's parallel parking on the street in front.. but we'll worth it ..

Great classic diner. A lot better food than that other diner in Groton. Nice and helpful staff.

The parking lot is 'smallish' on the right side of the building and flows right to left in one direction, so be sure to look for the 'enter' sign. There are three steps up into the diner so be aware of that if you have difficulty using steps. Also, the restroom is tiny: like so small the sink is about a foot long by half as much wide, small. We stop in here on our trips out to Groton. Last visit we stopped for a late breakfast/early lunch. I ordered a coffee and it came in a nice big mug and is a mellow blend with a smooth finish. There are photo descriptions on the table of what your eggs will look like based on how you order it, so no surprises. What a great idea. The table holds napkins, hot sauces, salt & pepper, jellies, creamer and sugars. The staff are pleasant. Some are more chatty than others. There are definitely some regulars here each time we visit. The menu has lots of breakfast options but there are no substitutions so you may need to order al a carte or get a different 'meal' option and add-on an item. Just a heads up. They have plenty of toast options including English muffins. The lunch menu is a variety of sandwiches and burgers. Fries are tasty. Lettuce and tomato on your sandwiches are fresh. I can't think of a single disappointment we've had here. If you are in the area and enjoy a nice diner experience, stop in to Norm's.

The place is cozy, comfortable, and warm, adorned with interesting, authentic, art and photos of happy regulars. The potions are generous; I was sure I'd take some home. Yet, it turned out to be so tasty that I devoured every morsel. The daily specials are to die for! My dad was thrilled with his huge, juicy slab of baked ham. The spice on the potatoes was perfect, the best I've ever had. My big omelette (Kalamata olives, tomato, spinach, and feta, yum!) had the perfect balance of flavors. It was so nice to have it accompanied by an old-school, bottomless cup of coffee, kept hot and topped up by our delightful server. The chef himself came out to greet us and ensure that all was perfect. Like everything on many previous visits, it was. Don't miss an opportunity to experience what surely must be New London's best diner.

Driving in there is a hidden parking lot on the left side of the restaurant. Walking in it the host greeted us and asked us to sit anywhere we like. It is a cute place with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. It was a bit humid out so we ate inside. When we sat, we were told that there is a coffee and tea bar. I thought that was cute and efficient. You get up, grab a mug and pour your own hot drink. I order the sampler which had a little of everything and my fiancé order the blueberry pancakes. We didn't know what to expect but the portions was huge. The French toast was good and the pancakes were normal nothing special. The home fries was a small portion on the plate. The bacon, eggs and sausage were good. To be honest I didn't need 4 slices of toast. Two max would have been good enough. My fiancé enjoy his blueberry pancakes. We didn't finished what we order cause it was so much. Overall great place if you want that diner style breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back.

It seemed like they may have been a little short-staffed because several tables still needed to be cleaned, and the bar area had quite a few dirty plates and glasses. Despite that, our order was taken quickly, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with nice décor, and the music was at a comfortable volume, making it easy to enjoy our meal and conversation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had previously read that food doesn't always come out at the same time when there is more than one person dining. Unfortunately, that happened to us as well. My husband's meal arrived first, and mine came a little while later. It wasn't a long delay, but it would be nice if both meals were served together whenever possible. One thing that also caught me off guard was the payment process. The server came to the table with a handheld device and simply gave me the total without providing a printed check. I asked for the itemized bill, and she gladly printed it for me. I prefer reviewing the check before paying. They also charge a .75¢ service fee for credit card payments, while paying with cash avoids that fee. The printed receipt includes a QR code if you prefer to pay that way. As for the food, it was delicious! I ordered the Monte Cristo waffle sandwich, and it was excellent. My husband loved his chicken and waffle trio as well. The waffles were especially amazing! Overall, we had a great experience. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and we'd definitely recommend this restaurant. We look forward to coming back.

I swear Jesus must be in the kitchen cooking because the amount of flavor in every bite had me thinking "what the hell is going on here, am I in heaven, how is it possible that this is so good?!" The wait staff was very nice, accommodating and told me from the jump that it could be a wait for the food but quite honestly the wait time was pretty fast so no complaints. I hope this place never closes and stays in business for the next 100yrs because I will be coming back asap.
