I am particular about my stuff and we have some high value items, so generally I like to do all my own moving when possible. However in this case, for various reasons, it wasn't an option. I had to hire a company to move my stuff out of a storage unit (without me being there to supervise or advise) and then deliver my belongings to my new residence in Florida. Researching moving companies caused me a lot of stress as I read terrible, horror story reviews about all of the major nation-wide moving companies. Then I found JK Moving Bros. They gave me a quote in minutes after requesting one (huge improvement over the competition). The quote they gave me was significantly less than what I'd been given by the large companies that didn't act like they even cared for my business. JK loaded up my stuff, and had it delivered to my new house halfway across the country remarkably fast. From load to unload was less than 2 days. With the big moving companies they give you estimated delivery times measured in weeks. With these guys, you have direct communication with the man who gives you the quote, packs your stuff, drives the truck, and unpacks your stuff again. 100% transparent communication from beginning to end. These guys really made my move so easy, affordable, and stress free.

Drivers were to arrive at 8-9am on Saturday. At 9:15am I call asking where they were & Jordan…read moresounded surprised by my call like he forgot about my booking? He said he would call me back. He said his crew was a NCNS & thats why I didn't have a moving truck at my apartment. He said he would come by later. 1:05 pm and they finally show up. My apartment could have been loaded onto the truck by 1pm if they had shown up at the agreed upon time. I asked for 3 movers when I paid the deposit. I got 3 movers for one part of the move only. Still charged $150 for the extra man though. Saturday at 6:00pm they were done for the day. Had to come back Sunday to move remaining belongings (again, if they had been there at agreed upon time, the move would have been complete in one day). Sunday Jordan came at 12:06pm to finish the job with only 2 movers. The job was finished by 2:00pm. The quote I received via email & what he charged were not even remotely close. With all this said, I also have issue with the professionalism of the owner. For the 2 days I had contact with him during the move, I felt he was inappropriate in his conversation with me. He spent a lot of time trying to engage in conversation with me or flirting. In no way did I imply I as interested in him. His employees looked embarrassed for him. My 14 year old daughter even thought he was a creep for the things he was saying. By the time it came to pay my bill I just wanted him out of my house and away from my kids. I did contact him via tex the following day stating I believe he over charged me. He said he would look it over tomorrow and get back to me. He never did. I believe I got screwed over and harassed by a creeper.

For the amount of money we paid for this relocation, the overall experience with Allied Van Lines…read moreultimately resulted in frustration and disappointment with what is supposed to be a major, reputable national carrier. When a customer spends more than $20,000 for a cross-country move, there is a reasonable expectation that the process will be well coordinated, transparent, and supported by clear communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Our shipment was unexpectedly divided into two deliveries, with a large portion of the remaining items later classified as "overflow." This concept and the implications associated with it were never clearly explained during the sales process, nor were they described in the move packet and other documents that we reviewed and signed before the move. After the fact, however, this "overflow" designation was used as a justification to reject claims that were submitted in good faith. From a customer perspective, it is extremely frustrating to learn about important operational terms and limitations only after an issue arises. Beyond the contract language itself, the communication during the move was inconsistent and often unclear. Once it became apparent that the entire shipment would not arrive together, there was little proactive guidance about what that meant for us as the customer. There was no clear explanation of the implications of an overflow shipment, what items might be delayed, or what actions we should or should not take if essential items were missing. That lack of clarity put us in a position where we had to make reasonable decisions on our own, only to later have those decisions scrutinized during the claims process. The delivery process also created unnecessary confusion. With multiple movers arriving across two different deliveries and no consistent inventory list provided for both shipments to check items as they entered the home, it was extremely difficult to track what had arrived and what had not. For a large national moving company, this process should be far more structured and customer-friendly. The claims process has added to the frustration. Several of the claims we submitted were rejected for reasons that appear tied to operational terminology or conditions that were never clearly disclosed in the documentation we signed prior to the move. That lack of transparency undermines trust in the process and leaves customers feeling as though the rules are being applied retroactively. Given the circumstances, I plan to continue pursuing reconsideration and corrections to the claims that were filed. I also intend to raise these concerns with senior management within Allied so they are aware of the issues encountered during this relocation. Customers paying a premium for a national carrier deserve clear contracts, consistent communication, and a fair claims process when problems occur. In addition, I believe it is important to share this experience publicly so other customers can make informed decisions when selecting a moving company. I will be documenting this experience on major consumer review platforms such as Yelp, Google, and similar review sites so that others understand both the strengths and shortcomings of the process we experienced. While I had hoped to have a positive experience with Allied Van Lines, the combination of unclear contractual language, inconsistent communication when our shipment was split, and a difficult claims process ultimately left us disappointed. I hope the company will take this feedback seriously and work toward improving transparency and customer communication for future customers.

Title: Avoid Allied Van Lines / Coleman Worldwide Moving -…read moreOver $10,000 in Damages, Zero Accountability Review: My experience with Allied Van Lines and their agent Coleman Worldwide Moving was nothing short of a nightmare. I hired them for a full-service long-distance move from Texas to Florida -- and what I got was crushed boxes, broken furniture, missing items, and serious damage to my home. They never told me they were storing my belongings in a warehouse or switching trucks midway through the move. When everything finally arrived, it was clear things had been mishandled: * King adjustable bed - destroyed. * Custom furniture imported from Brazil - broken. * Mattress - arrived unprotected, ripped, and unusable. * Headboard, dresser, buffet, washer/dryer - all damaged. * Even my flooring and front door frame were ruined during the move-in. The total cost of replacements and repairs was over $10,000 -- and I have the receipts to prove it. I submitted a claim in September 2024. For weeks, they were completely unresponsive. Only after I filed formal complaints through external consumer protection channels did they finally start replying. When they did respond, their evaluation was absurd. They offered just $1,863.97 after deductibles -- barely enough to replace one major item. They treat your belongings like they're worth nothing and take zero responsibility for the damage they cause. Their claim process is slow, dismissive, and deeply frustrating. If you value your time, your peace of mind, and especially your possessions, do not trust Allied Van Lines or Coleman Worldwide Moving. There are better, more responsible moving companies out there. I have all the pictures to prove. Shame company, Not reliable. They destroy your belongings and say it's not their responsibility.
