She is absolutely a wonderful and cheerful person. This is the only place to go in the morning for breakfast. Excellent quality and a nice portion size. Omeletts are wonderful and I really enjoy the hash browns (crispy). French toast and waffles are a must try for those with a sweet tooth. Also heard that the breakfast burrito was quite good.

The beds are very comfortable, the TV has lots of channels, the bathroom is spacious with a good size shower, and there's a fridge/freezer and microwave. Outside the room is a seating area, in the front lawn area there are chairs and tables and across the street is the water and a playground area. The location is very convenient, even though it's on a highway- from your room you cannot hear any cars/traffic, there is a very good italian restaurant next door to the inn and an ice cream shop a few blocks down. This is one of the best priced places to stay in the area! Overall, this was a great stay and the owners were the nicest!

The two of us also found sleeping as comfortable as at our own home. We would recommend a stay here if you're in town. The hotel is also just a half block from the Drummond Island Ferry and views from the front porch encompass Lake Huron, the ferry, and passing freighters.

The 270-degree view is, as advertised by the inn, spectacular. You can sit out on the point in the inn's yard and see a good number of Les Cheneux' islands and a far-off glimpse of the Martin Reef Lighthouse. You can bring along your kayak or canoe to dock at the boathouse and use the inn as a base to explore the protected channels and islands in this area of northern Lake Huron. You'll get a full breakfast here, often emphasizing the use of local ingredients like maple syrup from the nearby Tassiers and Betty's homemade bread and pastries. Jim and Betty went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Betty always made sure there was a jug of ice tea in the fridge for me and Jim arranged for us to go sailing with a friend of his because his own boat (which he usually used to take guests on a short tour of the area) was in for repairs the week we were there. Cedarville is also a good place to make your base when exploring the eastern Upper Peninsula. Sault Ste. Marie, St. Igance, Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Drummond Island...are all possible to do as day trips from here. One thing to remember, they only take cash or personal check for payment. No credit cards.

From the minute we walked in and were greeted by Shirin, the owner, it felt as though we were a part of someone's home and were welcomed and we cozied in immediately thanks to her big smile and warm enthusiasm. The prime rib that was prepared by the chef, Bob, who is the owner and husband of wonderful hostess Shirin was the best beef I have ever tasted in my life! It simply melted in your mouth, it was cooked to absolute perfection and the most tender meat you can imagine. Served alongside was a delicious fresh creamed horseradish sauce, decadent new potatoes mashed with fresh garlic and steamed garden vegetables. Of course there were delicacies of appetizers and a beautiful ceasar salad, etc. Wonderful chocolate cake with a maple and orange peel glaze filling and goodies that I can go on about.... The service and the food are simply outstanding!! And so although this restaurant is a little out of the way and you are best to have reservations because there is limited seating but it is so absolutely worth the drive!
