After meeting her the first time I knew she was a perfect match for me. Lynn has a very hands on approach, but is gentle and does not push you to pain. Lynn also explains everything she is doing and why she is doing it. She makes you feel very comfortable. She also offers great hours 6am-6pm, and even then if that doesn't work she will find something that does! Lynn sees her patients individually versus some PT's who have to see multiple patients at a time. Lynn spends quality time with you for close to an hour. Lynn provides a variety of stretches and will find you one that is comfortable for your current level. While I am glad I was discharged, I will certainly miss seeing Lynn! If you are in need of a physical therapist, I HIGHLY recommend Lynn!

She was put in the lock down dementia ward. WARNING: IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE, OR FOR THAT MATTER, HATE SOMEONE, DO NOT PUT THEM IN THIS FACILITY IN THE LOCK DOWN DEMENTIA WARD. It is not fit for humans. I can't stress enough the incompetence and non-care these patients get. I can not stress enough what a nightmare this place was! The rest of the facility may be OK, I don't know. But this unit was a nighmare. I tried to contact the resident Doctor many times. You could ONLY text him. He never responded. I tried to talk to the head nurse.....she walked away from me. They traumatized my poor mother with man-handling and an overdose of anti-psychotic drugs along with other heavy drugs. This unit needs to be shut down! There are guards that bully and threaten the poor patients that are all seriously demented. Government reviews this place as inadequate. I CAN'T TELL YOU WHAT I SAW THERE OR THE TRAUMA THEY IMPOSED ON MY MOTHER. NIGHTMARE. We ended up discharging and driving my mother out of that God Forsaken place.

Cherry Hill Manor was a bad move for my mom . She was not taking care of at all ! She was walking…read moreand moving around at the hospital sent there for Rehab only to lay in her bed day after day not able to move , was not drinking water, or eating any food. When I brought up the concern to the nurses nobody was concerned at all . After the third day of this I demanded she got an ambulance back to the hospital only to find out she was dehydrated, had pneumonia, terrible urinary tract infection and was losing blood internally from a fall at the nursing home days before that nurses stated there was nothing wrong with her . After a few days in the hospital she passed . There were so many other things as well that was so concerning about the care for my mom at this nursing home definitely would not recommend it to anybody .

We have ben trying to get hearing aids repaired for our resident at the facility and no one has helped us at all. It has been over 5 weeks since we discussed this matter during a patient visit and nothing has been done. No one is returning our phone calls and when we visit the people we need to speak to are not there. It is very frustrating that the elderly have to live in a place where no one really cares.

Bottom of the barrel Healthcare…read more So after being stabilized at Roger Williams's hospital, I spent three weeks in Elmhurst nursing home to recover from pneumonia. However, the lack of proper basic hygienic care and the mistakes they made with my medication, as well as the maltreatment by staff and the incompetency by CNAs, nurses, nurse practitioners and administrators led to my being rehospitalized with three secondary infections - some of which were serious. After my first week there I wanted to get a transfer to another facility and started gathering testimony from the different professional caregivers (non-staff) who work at other facilities, most of whom confirmed to me that they feel helpless at addressing these problems in this facility... They take for granted that the Marquis group corporate owners, will not allow them to get either the staffing or the supplies they need at that place to provide proper care, and after talking with different residents, I can see that both subacute care patients as well as long-term residents have the same complaints... I regret not documenting accurately enough to file a lawsuit, but I am filing complaints with the Rhode Island health department and publishing reviews everywhere I can online to let the world know, this place is BOTTOM OF THE BARREL as far as nursing homes go... what is taken for granted there is that mistakes (some of which will be life-threatening) WILL be made and the general attitude of staff is "not my fault, not my job, not my problem". The State needs to investigate how they operate that facility, they need inspections and auditing... The national Health review board has already removed their rating. There are 200 beds and nowhere near enough staff and a lot of serious medication errors and total lack of competency going on there.

The CNA needed to clean him up after he vomited. She had me leave the room and shut the door. My husband informed me that she was saying horrible things to him such as "who would want you. Look at you. You're useless". As he's telling me this he's crying. He thankfully only stated 24 hours because he needed to be transferred to the hospital. My heart hurt for him. This will be reported to a higher level. This place should be closed down.

The Therapists and assistants are so welcoming and make you feel at ease which is so important for first- time clients. They explain what they are about to do and really give you time to relax during your exercises. Even when they get busy, they still make you feel so good- almost a "spa" like experience. The place is clean, warm, bright, and comfy. They are very knowledgeable and professional. I really look forward to going to therapy and feel uplifted when I leave.
