Front parking lot with the beach across the street

Stayed here this last weekend, it was only 2 nights but we enjoyed it. The camp site was nice sized and quiet so very relaxing. Check in and out was easy. There was plenty of room for 2 vehicles at the camp site. The bathrooms/showers were clean. They have laundry on site. There is a pool however I did not get the chance to check it out. You can access the beach just by walking across the road. They have a little store inside that sells food and souvenirs. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store just down the road. We took a Lyft into St.Augustine it was under $12 each way, great deal and way better than trying to find parking and you can enjoy adult beverages with out worry.

This is absolutely my favorite place to camp! The beach on one side and the river is on the other. The staff has always been pleasant and we have never had a problem! Yes WiFi isn't the best but you are camping so who cares. We have an Rv and it has been the best place for us. Also we had to leave early due to a hurricane hitting our house and they were very gracious to refund a day to us. They didn't have to but I really appreciated it! This place is a gem! Also the Reef and Aunt Kate's restaurants and delicious and walking distances!

More random trash around our campsite

Do not stay here!!!!! They are doing construction 100 yd from our campsite with a front end loader tearing down trees. I went to the office to discuss this and the ladies in the office they were extremely rude and snappy. It was over $50 a night for a tent site. And then to listen to all this construction noise for 8 hours from about 10:00 in the morning till after 5:00 in the evening. It's really bad. They could have let us know prior to making reservations or giving us a discount for the inconvenience. but when I went and discuss it with the ladies in the office they were just giving me snide remarks and acting like some white trailer trash. after I walked out got my car I saw the next person come out the door laughing so I know they said something about me when I left. I just feel we should have been informed of the construction going on or maybe not put right in the middle of it. There was not a single other person around us. oh and there's garbage all around the place in the bushes I've picked up a whole bag full already. And the showers have so little water pressure you can barely rinse your hair out. This is not where you want to stay!

The campground itself is well maintained, & the surrounding bodies of water are beautiful. There are electrical boxes/outlets, as well as running water, at each campsite. The fellow campers & RV'ers are all extremely nice & helpful. Across the street is the ocean, with parking only for the campground & restaurant, so it's never too busy on the beach. The campground is only 10 minutes from downtown St. Augustine, & 10 minutes from the Guana Nature Preserve. The only reason I gave three stars, is because of the employees at the front desk. They're terribly rude on the phone, they're not much better in person, & seem to make up the rules as they please. ***Be sure to reserve your SIX DAYS AHEAD OF TIME OR THEY'LL REFUSE TO GIVE YOU YOUR FREE NIGHT!!!*** When I mentioned that it was not written anywhere, the woman literally told me "We can't put everything on the website." (Trust me, that's just a small example of the ""logic"" these people have haha!)

This is the sunset off of site 152. Doesn't get any better than this!!

I want to start by saying this review is based on a pre-stay visit (I was checking this place out…read morefor a future stay) - I dropped in Sun Outdoors while staying at another campground in the area. I stopped in at the front office as anyone who is just checking out a campground should do - We were greeted by Karen and she was just wonderful as I explained the purpose of our visit - she described a lot of the amenities and also the online website and suggested calling her directly when we were ready to book our site. After requesting a drive-through she graciously opened the gate to allow us to explore the campground on our on and it goes without saying we were respectful of the posted speed limits and the campers and their campsites. This is a very spacious campground that can accommodate all sizes of RVs, I loved that there are some rustic sites as well as large drive-through paved sites - there are some very nice facilities including a large club house and pool. The entrance off of Route 207 is very accessible and there is plenty of room to get into your site no matter which one you choose or what size rig you have. This is definitely a campground I'll stay at during a future visit to the St. Augustine area, there are a lot of good things going on here, a very friendly and accommodating staff, a very clean and well maintained campground and it's in close proximity to downtown...

There are a few things worth the trip. One the shuttle bus to and from the festival. The second is the commute to and from my house. Not pictured is the shrimp tandoori. It needed more sauce. The ribs were not the best as per my wife. There were bathrooms and table and chairs around to sit, relax and eat. We are looking forward to next year and know what to expect. Long lines for the food and beverages so have patience. Please, next year have more seafood that is in the title. I was looking forward to more seafood!

We opted for VIPZ which was below the corporate rooftop but offered a prime viewing platform Lots of vendors, food, plenty of bar spaces and extremely responsive medical staff (at least three people needed help) as it was HOT and humid. Free water refill stations were available and stay hydrated messages posted frequently on the jumbo TVs Too long to get in with airport level security and restrictions on almost everything (no chairs, no coolers, no bags over 12x6, no backpacks and so on...) PADI is becoming too commercialized anyways. The shop is smaller than the larger ones, but the staff and service more than make up for that. Kayley is very friendly and easy to talk to. I have even just stopped by to chat. Their trips are fun and have a family type of atmosphere. I would definitely recommend going on one to meet everyone. I moved from San Diego so the diving in Jacksonville doesn't compare but Idive makes it more bearable. If anyone is looking for a dive shop give Idive a shot. You will not regret the family atmosphere here. It may not be a big box store like Divers Supply but it is a great place.
