After my family and I bring patients for over 45 years, we will all never go back back. Dr. Shanklin retired several years ago and the quality of service has plummeted. My recent appt, which I made over 6 months ago to insure I would get the hygienist and dentist of my choosing. They called me on the phone a week in advance to confirm, however, they chose to NOT mention that my hygienist no longer worked there and my dentist would be on vacation. The hygienist is probably just out of school..did the worst and simplist cleaning or lack there of, in my life. The "polishing" was a quick once over requiring so little product that there was NO rinsing required?!? Then to be told my dentist is on vacation ..I was so disappointed I walked out and will never be back. Don't pay for this kind of total lack of care and lack of service! read more

I have three kids and I just wasn't happy with the Dentist they had previously, and their cleanings seemed like they were just getting a good/ok teeth brushing. I'm extremely happy that I found North Brand Dental.. The Dentist Anna was very professional and addressed all my concerns, and was very friendly with the kids( My kids said that she is their favorite dentist), the dental hygienist was extremely thorough with her cleaning and very friendly and spoke to the kids through the whole process, explained what she was doing and what they are able to do to take better care of your teeth. This dental office has been great so far. All the other dentists I went to would always take forever and rush me, but here is totally different. Dr.G is very careful and cautious of what he is doing and he will always tell you what he is doing. Dr. Acopian is also just as nice and careful. She is very gentle and is caring of you making sure you don't feel any discomfort. The other ladies there are very kind and always tell funny jokes. Today was my second time here. The first time I had a full check-up and cleaning, and because of the office manager I got charged by mistake it took them 2 months to refund me, even though they had changed my insurance a while back( I received the invoice from insurance so I knew they have already received the money). But I gave them a second chance cause I thought mistakes can happen to everyone. I'm wearing braces and it's tough for me to find a day that I can schedule 2 appointments with my orthodontist and one in between to do cleaning; so I can't go to cleaning anytime I want and if I miss an appointment next time I can do cleaning will be 2 months later. Today after my orthodontist removed the wires I went to North Brand Dental for cleaning, the lady told they don't do cleaning today no one is there for that. And when I said I received a confirmation text from you, she said the text should be for rescheduling purposes, I'm attaching the text I received 3 days ago where I confirmed my appointment. First, she mentioned they don't do cleaning on Fridays AT ALL then she changed her words when I said I received the text. This place doesn't respect patients' time. I took 3 hours off from work and drove 30 minutes to get there and they didn't even bother to inform me about cancellation or pay attention when I called 2 months ago to make an appointment. they had 2 months to correct their mistake. read more

If i can give this dental office a 10 star I would! Their staff is so nice and accommodating. They have the best attitudes. Dr.Acopian and Dr.Ghadimi, are not only amazing dentists, they are incredibly knowledgable. I have had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out, plus other dental work done including Root Canal. I have never felt pain, and all procedures have been done quickly and very sanitary. I cant take them both enough for the incredible work they do. They even saw me as an emergency patient and helped with my decayed tooth. I cant thank both of them enough for the care they provide me and all their patients. Oh boy...I've been to a lot of dentists and the worst experience yet has been here. Dr. Maria Cesare is verrryyyy nice and is great at educating her patients about their oral health, and so are the women who work at the front desk - but the dental assistants there don't seem to know what they're doing. I've been here about 4 times now for cleanings, a temporary crown and subsequent visits to correct their mistakes, to no avail. Twice when I was in there I was worked on by two separate women who made me feel so unwelcome, like I was keeping them later than they should be there (my appointment was in the late afternoon and they were clearly rushing to get out of there). I had a temporary crown put in, and the way they positioned my head for the dental gave me the most horrible case of vertigo that I've never experienced. On top of that, they didn't correct my bite properly and left the crown so high and misplaced - I experienced horrible pain, clenching in my sleep to correct the bite and a horrible taste in my mouth because the cement they used was leaking. The older woman who made the crown was so sweet - but I should have known better after she had to retake my x-rays like 6 times because she couldn't get it right! Most painful x-ray experience ever! I went back twice to have them correct the bite on my temp crown, and they told me I might need a root canal. The older woman who originally made and placed the crown looked at it and said "Oh, it's just off the track a little bit, but that will be corrected with the permanent crown." What a nightmare! I've since been to two doctors who said that my roots are perfect and there's no infection, but that the crown is misshapen and the bite is way off! This office also tries to sell you on just about every thing. After my first visit I left thinking I had all sorts of problems that needed to be fixed. However, upon getting second opinions, turns out I didn't have those problems. Got a temporary crown put on elsewhere and now I really know what a crappy job they did! My new temp is perfect! No pain, no leaking, no clenching. Like I said, some very nice, sweet people working here - and I don't think they're intentionally trying to screw anyone up, but I just don't think they're churning out quality work. read more

Terrible experience, all they care about is how soon they can charge you for anything and everything. They bombarded you with phone calls and email reminders of your appointment, I mean I get it it's a business, they need the money, but be a little more customer service driven geeez. I had to postpone an appointment due to coming down with an illness and hadn't had the chance to reach out to them early in the day, so I called prior to my appointment to postpone my appointment and they threaten to charge me $60 for it. Any company willing to charge you for no services render are con artist. Everyone here is super friendly and personable--front office, hygienists, Dr. Ana! They recently redecorated, relaxing waiting room experience, have a Keurig coffee while you wait for your cleaning. Weird concept, right? (Coffee breath!) I joked with the hygienist about this, she encouraged me to have a coffee anyway--they like clean mouths (patients not coming from a meal) so coffee breath is no problem! This office is a bit of a drive for me and my husband, so we drive together, with back to back appointments. If I could give her 0 Stars I would. In many occasions I have been left with my mouth open as she watches TV. I was told I needed work and their recommendation was that I get two teeth extracted, keep in mind that by this time she had already called my insurance and she ran my SS to find out how much I had left in my insurance. I decided to listen to her and she was supposed to call me back. It's been over 3 months and I'm still waiting for her to call and best part Is I have no more money left in my insurance so everything I will need done will be out of pocket. So do I think it was a coincidence she hasn't called me back? I think NOT! I've also been witnessed of them talking about other patients and their insurance allowance. The specialist she works with are very very tight. It just seems that these people are more for the business $$$ than the passion of the career. I've been coming for many years and since Dr. Leon has left everything including staff have changed. I am in search for another dentist. I will no longer be coming here. Came to get some answers after having some tooth pain and some problems with bad breathe. I am so pleased with the results of my visit, not only did they find some issues with cracked fills, a cavity that I didn't know I had but Dr. Cesare solved my bad breathe issue with a simple solution, using a tongue scraper!! Within two days that problem was gone. She is very knowledgeable and she took the time to educate me and explain the dental work I would need. I also happened to be pregnant at the start of my dental work and they were very helpful, reassuring and made sure to do what was safest for me and my baby. First-off, the dentist is one of the last places I like to spend any morning, especially before work. Since my dental coverage had been dropped after graduating college last spring, I can't say that I was looking forward to visiting a new dentist, but I had a surprisingly pleasant experience at Dr. Cesare's office on 1/28 of this year. I now have insurance through my employer and thought it was time I got myself checked out after receiving a reference along with a $95 promotion for a cleaning, exam, and take-home whitening kit from a coworker. From my other semi-recent experiences, I must admit I felt a more personal appraoch at this office compared to the dental clinic that had been going to for the last five years. After Evelin (sorry if I spelled that wrong), the hygenist, did my cleaning, Dr. Cesare came in and gave me an exam explaining what my options for treatment were. I was most concerned about a missing lower tooth that I had been neglecting considering the cost that was presented to me by my previous dental group. Needing four fillings and a solution for the missing tooth, I expressed my concern with paying for the work despite having insurance "coverage." She briefed me on how dental insurance works and the best strategy to maximize my coverage. She worked with me to explain what she felt was most urgent and gave me the option for monthly payments to fulfill my portion of the expenses. For this year she suggested, I get my fillings done to prevent further complications ( possible root canal! =/ ) and then to start planning financially to get an implant for my missing tooth in the following year - we also discussed having a bridge done, but being 24 she strongly recommended the implant as a more permanent solution for my case. She explained that I would be referred to a specialist for the implant surgery and that she would do the crown. Doctor and the assistant, Argentina ( she is such sweet lady; sorry for spelling again ), also went over proper brushing and flossing ( my downfall considering the cavities I have are near the gums and between my teeth ) techniques with me as well. Getting my next appointment scheduled wasn't comparably as difficult to make as the clinic I attended before, and I'll be going back in three weeks to get two fillings done.
