The regular dental office we'd go to didn't provide a great experience in our most recent visit so we decided to give Dr. Ivan a try. His whole staff is great, starting with front desk Juanita. His dental assistant, Maddie, is a natural with kids and made my kid feel at ease. He is normally very shy but warmed up to Maddie quickly. I was originally with Dr. Sue but I am so happy about my decision in having all my dental needs done here with Dr. Chan. As soon as I made a phone call for a consultation after a year-long tooth that chipped and pain that caused me misery or that I haven't had any dental work since pre-pandemic, I was then booked for an appointment right away. While the hygienists are great, I've never been very confident in the doctor. He told me I had a cavity but after visiting another dentist (a long time dentist I trusted but with an office further from where I live now) for a second opinion they said I had no cavities. My final straw was getting charged $100 for cancelling due to a severe cold. I can't control being ill, and you'd think after the pandemic they'd want to be somewhat careful of passing illnesses to their other patients and staff. I had prepaid for a cleaning but I'm willing to let that money go to never deal with them again. (I obviously strongly recommend against prepaying or getting the package deals). read more

1st my original dentist Chris Kurimoto sold to Dr Sue. Then one day I come in for a cleaning in the middle of an implant procedure & am told the business is sold to a Dr Chan. No email notification -nothing. Poor billing person as well. Multiple times she told me my insurance was not valid. Had to get my HR person involved. My quote for the implant had what insurance would pay. Then months later I am told I am out of network & NO coverage! I had a PPO policy & never issues before this. Poor follow up from the office. They sent me a reminder of a cleaning & notice I would be charged if no show. When I called to change the aptmt I was told I did not have an aptmt & in fact I was deleted as an active patient. Doctor tried to convince me that my own mouth did not receive the procedure well, would not take accountability.
