I have been visiting this office for over 2 years now and have had every dental work you can imagine done by them (implants, bonding, crowns, cleaning, Invisalign, etc etc). Dr. Garcia is a master at his craft. Not only is he very patient with you, he gives you 100% attention and care, which is rare among doctors who try to rush from one patient to another. Just yesterday he added some bonding to my front teeth and they look absolutely perfect. He took the time to do it like a very skilled craftsman even though it was the end of the day and people were going home. You never feel rushed here. Have to admit, I had high hopes for Dr. Garcia's office and thought I finally found my forever dentist. I'd say a large part of this bad review is for his front office woman, whatever her name is. She's the one who answers the phone in the morning. She's rude, doesn't follow through and is what made me believe they're just trying to make money off of people. But Dr Garcia is shady too, so it's also for him. I saw dr garcia to fix a really poorly done filling on my right molar a week after i saw the dentist who did the original procedure. he fixed the shape and separated the two teeth that were cemented together- did a good job. however, he told me he needed to redo the filling and put a porcelain cap on it or a crown. he said the filling was bad and is what's causing me pain. i find out later that was all untrue (keep reading) ... anyway, porcelain caps on my teeth didn't sound cheap, especially when he said i should do ALL my fillings that way... so, logically i inquire how much this will cost -- no response. they said the front office woman handles that. so i call the next day, asking for cost - "oh i'll get back to you." -- never does. I call again and say "hey i just want to make sure i don't get surprised with a bill" and she says "yea i totally get it!" and doesn't call back. i called three times and the 3rd time i leave a message -- nothing. i log onto delta dental and see she submitted claims to the insurance and my out of pocket was somewhere around $2,000 (for one tooth) but i wasn't sure if that's what dr garcia's office would charge so i call again. NOTHING. since my tooth was bothering me so much, i just decided to make an appointment and she schedules me a week after i called. i show up at 8am on a monday (worst way to wake up), sit on the chair and they numb me bc he was going to re-do the filling... he comes in and says "this is going to take 2hrs and we're going to do the porcelain cap" and i was nervous after hearing that, all the anxiety kicks in. Then that woman walks up to me after with a paper and an amount which was $1,175... for a single tooth. A tooth that i had pain on when i ate ice cream or cold foods and occasionally when i woke up in the morning... also, dr garcia somehow convinced me that the tooth 100% needed to be redone and the filling was totally bad. i see the bill and think WHAT THE HELL. why?! why didn't you tell me this before? i tried to avoid this, i told them i didn't want to pay over a grand for this, and they left me feeling like i had no choice. so i just had them remove the numbing thing and i walked out so upset. i was so done with these weirdos and esp that weird front office woman, i wish i knew her name but i'm sure someone else wrote about her in the other reviews. she's pretty horrible. i cried in my car b/c i was so sick of dentists being so shady and so criminal like car salesmen. literally!!! are dentists just broke or something that they need to rip ppl off? anyway, i peruse yelp in my car and was able to see Dr Ho in La Canada that same day - HALLELUJAH!!! they scheduled me as an emergency. i went in & he did a NEW XRAY (yay!), listened to me patiently, tested my teeth sensitivity with a piece of ice bc i grind a lot, and actually spent time and looked at the tooth. he told me the filling was fine, the alignment was just off and my lower molar was pressing on the filling which was hitting the nerve and thus, causing the pain. 20mins in, my tooth was fixed!! he gave me sensodyne toothpaste and WAH-LAH! solved! i paid $0, i feel INCREDIBLE, and have zero pain. i can eat ice cream again and i wake up with 100% no pain. did i say that i was there for only 20mins and paid ZERO dollars?! i'm so, so, so, SOOO happy i spared myself $1,175 on a thing i absolutely did not need and found my forever dentist-- who has amazing reviews by the way- def see him instead. he's only a few mins away from this office. five-stars fully recommend! i'm also so happy bc he's booked until april 2024 (baller) but he made the time to see me and didn't rush at all... LOVE HIM!! back on topic tho -- DO NOT come here!!! get a 2nd or third opinion and don't trust these kinds of dentists. save your own teeth!! keep them for as long as you can!! don't let dentists tell you that you need to pay them thousands to remove them just so they can replace them with a fake tooth!! it's so crazy to me!! read more

My husband and I both have been going here for about 4/5 years. Dr. Garcia and the hygienist are both good. The front desk never gives printed estimates unless you insist. And you should! My husband got Invisalign and they were planning to charge an obscene amount for a retainer at the end of the treatment until he showed them that he had already paid for everything included on the printed estimate! They have told me I need a mouth guard, which is probably true, but it costs $900, and they said it would be worse to buy one over the counter than not have one, I just need to get it from them. We have Delta Dental PPO, but a little over a year ago, the front desk told me casually that they were switching from a preferred provider to premiere but that it wouldn't change anything of us pricing wise, which is not true. I also always pressure to get deep cleanings, and was told I needed a crown, which would cost almost a thousand dollars out of pocket. Again, I had to insist they give a written estimate, it wasn't offered until I asked. It's just that I don't feel like I can tell what is actually needed and they act like money should be NO issue. This has been my favorite dentist office that I've been to. Kindness and Wonderful patient care is really shown here. I am always greeted by name when I arrive and feel like they know me. When I come to my appointment they don't let me wait even 5 minutes which is very much appreciated. Dr. Garcia and his assistant always take good care of me. Just had the most disappointing experience. Hubby has had major jaw surgery and is desperate need of a teeth cleaning and whitening now that it's healed. They wouldn't let me noon the cleaning and the whitening for the same day and insisted on a consult even for a teeth cleaning. Booked the consult for teeth cleaning and whitening followed by the teeth cleaning and brought the extensive X-rays from the surgeon. After taking all their own X-rays they sent him home saying they never booked the consult for whitening roe the teeth cleaning. Seems like a scam to get insurance money as we had two separate times booked and he wasted a day off work to just get billed a bunch of money for X-rays when he had ct scan and frays last week we gave them. Wow! Where do I start? Dr. Garcia and his team are absolutely FANTABULOUS!! I needed a fill mouth restoration, as my teeth had deteriorated and rotted out due to taking Tetracycline for acne back in the late 80's. First time in a long time getting my teeth checked out and Dr. Garcia was fantastic. First off his receptionist and all the workers are fabulous. They're very attentive and extremely professional. Where do I begin? I started coming to Dr Garcia about 5 years ago based on a referral from a friend due to my teeth needing a lot of help after years of neglect. I called the Office Manager Leuiza about a year ago because of course another tooth fell out, she had me come in immediately. Today my dental hygienist, Tina cleaned my teeth. She was pleasant. Her work station was organized and clean. The cleaning was normal and at no point was I uncomfortable or felt pain. My usual hygienist is Samona, however today she was with another patient. Both Tina and Samona are efficient and highly skilled. I actually enjoy my cleaning experience. After my cleaning, Dr. Garcia checked my teeth and asked if I had any problems or concerns. He identified a few things that could be problematic in the future. He suggested a plan to address and prioritize the work. I mentioned that one of my teeth seemed loose. As it ends up it was a implanted crown that was coming unscrewed. Dr. Garcia and his assistant, Tania quickly made the necessary adjustments and I was on my way. I must also mention that at the front desk, Luisa does a great job. Appointments fit nicely with my life. I have been a patient of Dr. Gail, Dr. Sahabi and Dr. Garcia for over 60 years. The old office used to be across the street. Bright Smiles has changed the way I feel about going to the dentist and Dr. Garcia has absolutely changed my life (more on that later). First and foremost, when you step into this place, you feel like you are in a very expensive dental office. It's clean and aesthetically beautiful. It's clear that there was a lot of thought put into making this place beautiful. Luisa is a wonderful receptionist and makes scheduling a breeze. During my first exam, I had x-rays taken. They were super fast and easy. When Dr. Garcia came in, he took so much time to explain the x-rays to me. I've never had a dentist take so much time to explain my x-rays, especially because I had no issues with my teeth. This was just a routine appointment. After the basic stuff, I told Dr. Garcia about how I was unhappy with my smile. My teeth were straight and healthy. Most people would say I had nearly perfect teeth. But I wasn't happy with the size and position of my lateral incisors. Dr. Garcia agreed and we went over options. He was honest with me about how Invisalign was pricey and he didn't know if I could achieve what I wanted with the express package. He told me veneers were cheaper and would also allow me to lengthen the teeth, which would take my smile a step further. I was a little hesitant because of my experience with veneers before. I have veneers on my central incisors (two front teeth) because of a dead tooth from an accident when I was young. I went to a "celebrity" dentist in Beverly Hills who charged almost $5000 for two veneers. When I finally got them, I hated them. They were huge and bulky and overpowered the teeth next to them, which is why I was in this position. Dr. Garcia just seemed like he was different. He assured me we would get the result I wanted. So I decided to do it. The veneers were only $1050 a tooth which is an incredible price. The process was literally painless. I didn't need any numbing because Dr. Garcia did minimal shaving of my natural tooth. He made the temporary veneers, which were impressively realistic, and I wore those for two weeks. When I came back for my permanent veneers, he took off my temporaries and then I started to feel a little pain. He numbed me very quickly and then it was smooth sailing from there. The thing I absolutely loved is that he showed me my veneers before he cemented them on. I wish the other "celebrity" dentist did that for me because I would have told him I hated them! When I saw my new teeth I was so happy. They were EXACTLY what I wanted. When I left there, I was a whole new woman. I can't believe how amazing my smile looks. I'm almost upset I didn't do this sooner! I was suffering for so long and this process was so quick and easy! Dr. Garcia is a perfectionist and he gave me exactly what I wanted. I am super picky and he went above and beyond my expectations. All Bells and Whistles.. Dr. Garcia and the office equipment were very nice, but the quality of the treatment I received there was terrible. They have a lot of new equipment and it is very fancy. You get to see the exam on tv screens in front of you. But they took 12 X-rays for a normal exam?? My previous dentist could cover my entire mouth with 4 pictures. Their mouthpiece caused my hard palate to have a cut and bleed even before they started the exam. I never have any problems with my gums or teeth, and they didn't find any problem with them this time either. After the exam, they can't even do the cleaning on the same day. They have to waste another day of mine to come in and get my teeth cleaned. And now the cleaning... OUCH! The hygienist was so rough. The cleaning was sub-par. As I stated before, I never have any problems with my gums or teeth. She just had to remove he plaque, and she didn't even do it well. When I went in, my gums were NOT swollen or painful, but after I left, my gums hurt for several days after. The hygienist also recommended a "deep cleaning" to be scheduled soon. It sounds like they ALWAYS try to sell people on getting a deep cleaning. I spoke to another patient who was very upset about his deep cleaning, because he felt that they didn't do anything special during the deep cleaning except inflict more pain and charge an extra $140 !!! A couple weeks after my "cleaning," I went back to my regular dentist. He examined my teeth and noticed new injuries to my gums and mouth as a result of Dr Garcia and his staff. They also helped clean my teeth properly, because there was still some plaque left on my teeth after Garcia's staff was done. I was only looking for a different dentist, because my insurance plan changed. I have decided to just pay the extra fee to return to my normal dentist. Thankfully, I will never have to return to Dr. Garcia's office again. read more

I had been a patient here for almost 2 years and just switched to a new dentist. I thought Dr. Garcia's office was doing ok, until I started at my new dentist! (he is really good) I found out I received a lot of extra "treatments " that I didn't really need. I was also exposed to a lot more radiation than was required from excess x-rays. please be careful, it seems all these are just extra charges for the insurance. read more

This is by far my favorite dental group ever! I am picky about having to wait when I have an appt. but they make sure you are seated on time as your appointment. I love walking in and Luzia greeting me with a smile! The stuff knows you by your name and makes you feel like part of a family. I am always 110% satisfied with all the services they provide for me. I'm really glad we me met Dr. Carlos Garcia. We drove all the way from Long Beach to Glendale and the trip was worthwhile. Dr. Carlos was extremely competent, patient and attentive with my wife and I. He went over the x-rays (digital) and using the cameras was able to show on the screen how he would perform the treatment. He was very clear on his explanations and he answered all of our questions about the techniques he would perform. Also he uses state of the art equipment in his clinic and he tries to preserve as much as he can of your teeth. The job done was fantastic!!! I almost could not distinguish his work from the natural tooth. Outstanding work!!!!! I'm very impressed with his level of professionalism and I don't hesitate to recommend him to family members and friends. read more
