I was born in Salem and growing up my family all lived in the North Shore area (Peabody, Danvers, Beverly), so I became very familiar with the popularity of the North Shore roast beef, even if as a kid I never really appreciated it. Supreme's in Danvers was my dad's preferred spot, although he would go to Kelly's or Bill and Bob's as well, but I was always getting the chicken finger dinner at the time. Fast forward thirty years, and while I have finally come to respect the super roast beef, I'm also now living out in Springfield where the concept of a North Shore roast beef sandwich is as foreign as a chop suey sandwich. However, a few weeks ago my wife clued me in to North Brookfield Pizza Palace, and our lives have changed for the better(?)! Opting for the super roast beef and getting half a pound of roast beef on an onion roll with mayo, cheese, and the absolutely required James River BBQ sauce has helped bring the taste of the North Shore with half the commute! Their fries are also fantastic, competing with Five Guys on taste and texture but not nearly as soggy and slightly less quantity for one order than with a large order from Five Guys. I have three somewhat minor criticisms of diminishing priority. First, they don't have nearly enough seating or waiting area: there's two tables tucked into the corner of their front area, maybe enough seating for two parties but that's it. I think of Supreme's and its numerous tables, but I definitely recall Bill and Bob's also having a decent-sized dining area. Every time my wife and I have gone to NBPP we have taken our order out because, if we didn't, us and our two young kids we would pretty much hog the space. The second criticism is that their menu isn't spelled out very well, either in the restaurant or online, as far as what comes on their roast beef sandwiches for example. This is one of those things where if you're in with the in crowd you would already know, but it would be helpful to rookies to know what options are available instead of having to harass the staff to have it elaborated. The third criticism, strictly my personal niggle, is that North Brookfield and the surrounding area must be full of 90s country music fans because that is all that is on the TV when I have gone to pickup. Not my jam, but at least I'm not dining in! Going solely based on their roast beef and fries, this is a five star review. I am thrilled that there is a restaurant making North Shore roast beef sandwiches within an hour of Springfield, and they are great. I hope North Brookfield Pizza Palace hangs around for a long time and maybe even finds a bigger space! read more

Customer service from my arrival was exceptional again . I have been here before and raved about their Roastbeef . Well , I tried their pizza for the first time ..... again , really , really good . I was a little taken by the size and price but the quality is there and I would rather have less than more in the sense of bad to good . And again , small , cold Roastbeef sandwich with the works . Same in house roasted beef that they use for the North Shore style . Unbelievable . I will be returning here as long as they are here . I do not frequent places often as I cook at home ...but I am not roasting the prime beef daily as these folks are . I highly recommend !!! They're delivering tonight and quality is at its best (isn't it always though?) If you didn't like the pizza before cuz it was too sweet, try it now. Sauce is like normal. Wild how good this place is out in the boonies. Incredibly friendly Greek family who clearly have many years of pizzeria experience up in the north shore or something churning out insanely nostalgic pizza and other foods with the attention to detail that reminds me of what people did when I was a kid but stopped doing at some point. Care in prep, high quality ingredients, just classic Massachusetts style pizza place right out of 1992. And as a bonus, they have a phenomenal North Shore Beef Sandwich, served properly, 3-way, with James River BBQ sauce and heaps of soft beautiful pink roast beef; very rare to find in central Mass! Also my gluten-free girlfriend was very pleased to see they offer an optional gf crust that she says is better than any of the places she has ever tried, allowing her to finally enjoy pizza again! If I could give a star for a pizza that tastes like a warm cardboard crust, sprinkled with the cheapest cheese money can buy with a little sauce to try and hide the pugnate taste of bad. North Brookfield Pizza has gone through a recent owner change, and I am very disappointed to say that it is not the same, which is to be expected to an extent. The quality in the food has gone down and they have clearly changed a lot of the products out, I'm assuming to cut costs but all you are doing is cutting customers, my family being some of them. read more

This place is great. They run specials on their Facebook page and have great service. They make you feel welcome and the food is cooked with love and attention. I have had no issues with anything but I know for a fact if I did, I would only need to mention it and they would take care of it. They do have limited hours etc but its a family owned place, so you're going to be seeing the same staff all the time, in fact mostly the same woman who keeps the whole place going. So obviously this place isnt open really late (not that there is much else going on in town late outside second shift Vibram). Overall I think this place is worth visiting even if youre coming from a surrounding town. I've been happy every time. read more

Last time we ordered a pizza it was terrible. I have had frozen pizza that better. The crust was dry and flavorless, cheep cheese, and hardly any. Don't know what happened? It was like they really cooked me a frozen pizza! I used to really like this place, but we haven't ordered from them in months. I am disappointed. Perhaps I will try them again, but am in no rush to get another pizza like that. What I did enjoy was ordering an onion and pepper pizza. I work in North Brookfield and decided to give this place a shot for lunch. There was a sign out front advertising small Italian subs for $3.99. Seriously, I just got done eating and that sandwich was the best thing I have eaten in months. It was absolutely delicious! It had some sort of hot pepper relish on it that didn't taste generic, but like it was homemade. I don't usually get excited over food, but wow, everyone should seriously try this! read more

I would say I'm a regular. I get food from them 3-4 times a month. Everything is always cooked as ordered and tastes delicious. Average wait time is 15 min. Longer if you call after 5pm or if you have a large order. The owner is always a pleasure to talk to. I love there pizza and Spicy fries. read more

Wish I could review the food. Both times I've called here once at 6pm on a Saturday and another Saturday at 7pm, the phone rang about 10 times with no answer. I drive by this place quite regularly and it always seems closed. Maybe the other local pizza place will answer my calls. read more

Buffalo Chicken sandwich was good. Not a lot of seating at all. No bathroom and doesn't take debit or credit. BBQ sauce was god awful.

Good pizza. We ordered a Hawaiian. The bottom and crust was a tad bit salty from the melted cheese and perhaps they could spice it up a little bit. It's a bit basic. Didn't disappoint really overall, though ... really nice and charming staff, convenient location for us and quickly done! It was just missing some detail I couldn't put my finger on. The place has changed hands within the last few months. The pizza is almost the same and very good. The crust is usually very flakey. (They have had some problems with crust but if you get a bad pizza speak up and they will replace it for free. I am hoping this issue gets resolved soon.) The toppings are very good as is the cheese. I have gotten around 12 pizzas since the new owners opened and have had one really bad pizza. They fixed that by giving me one. My brother just had a problem last week though so they are still having dough problems. Their hamburger topping is really good and has some spice to it. As I said all the toppings I have had are good. I have had their Tuna Sub and it is really good. It is hard to find a decent tuna sandwich around here. Give it a try. read more
