Great traditional Chinese cuisine. Super quick service. I ordered the regular jajamyun, very hearty sauce.

    48. Hunan Beef carryout

I ordered carry out from North china restaurant a few weeks ago on Friday night. North China has been in business for years on Far Hills in Centerville next to the library. We were having a craving for Chinese on a Friday night and haven't had it in a while my Mom had sweet and sour chicken. You can see what a huge portion it is there's definitely enough for 2 to 3 people to eat definitely had leftovers. I went with Hunan beef which was okay, when I got the order home it seemed like it was just broccoli and beef no other veggies. Hunan dishes normally has lots of vegetables and is spicy. It was nothing special. The food was ready in 15 minutes and pickup was quick.

Complimentary Fried Wontons with Sweet and Sour Sauce

Was told that the jiam pong was really good here so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I was seated, they brought me complimentary hot tea, water, and fried wonton chips with sweet and sour sauce. The seafood jiam pong was presented in a giant bowl. They also gave me a complimentary side of kimchee for my dish. Their jiam pong broth was piping hot and slightly spicy. The seafood in it didn't have much variety (just shrimp and baby scallops). They give you a ton of noodles because regardless of how much I ate, there was still over half a bowl of noodles left. It was like an endless bowl of noodles, but I'm not complaining. Had to pack my leftovers and it completely filled the takeout container. The service here was really good. They helped me pack my leftovers (they offered to separate the soup from the noodles for me so it stays fresh longer) and they made sure my water was always filled to the brim. If you come here, you have to try their jiam pong. It's large enough to share/make into two meals.

My supposedly HOT garlic chicken was very sweet. My hot and sour soup was not HOT. This was a very disappointing meal. I won't order again.

Mongolian is awesome here one of my favorite dishes. I have tried both the chicken and the beef. You can't go wrong with either.

A hidden gem in Dayton, of all places. I haven't had many Asian restaurants of any kind that tasted…read moreauthentic in Dayton, but this is one of the few. The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it. The prices are very fair for the quality of food they provide, and service throughout the night was decent. I will probably be back again, if I visit Dayton! I have been a regular customer at Kungfu Noodle for a long time and, because of my work schedule, I…read moreeat here almost every day. Unfortunately, a recent experience has convinced me that I will not be returning. I placed an order and requested "no meat, more vegetables." I was told that the kitchen was unwilling to provide extra vegetables unless I paid an additional charge. What disappointed me most was not the charge itself, but the attitude behind it. It felt as though reasonable customer requests were viewed as an inconvenience rather than something to accommodate. This is also not the first time I have heard kitchen staff complaining about customer requests. In the past, I have overheard complaints about customers asking for less salt or making other simple modifications to their meals. As a long-time customer, it is extremely disappointing to hear staff openly express frustration toward paying customers for such basic requests. The attitude was unprofessional and unfriendly. After repeatedly hearing complaints from the kitchen about customer orders, it becomes difficult to feel confident about how special requests are handled behind the scenes. I have supported this restaurant for a long time, but this experience has left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I hope management takes customer service more seriously and addresses these issues.
