North Coast Exotics is filled with craftsman. The place is eclectic as it is exotic and has that feel and aroma of dreamy cars. It feels so unique and quirky you really don't want to leave. It's a man cave at another level. Don't expect neat and tidy but you will feel right at home if your a car person. Like going back in time when businesses were managed by real people that owned the place and had passion for their work and compassion for their customers. The owner Earl G knows his British and Italian cars very well. I know them too but he knows them in and out and sideways. I purchased a Ferrari 360 from Marshall Goldman in Cleveland Ohio. They recommended & arranged for Earl at North Coast Exotics to perform the PPI, which I agreed to. Long story short, the PPI came out "all good, she's a beautiful car" but no photos or videos were provided. I received a 1 page hand written report. When I received the car, I ended up spending significant money on 2 cylinders misfiring as well as fixing cosmetic damage all over the car. On a Ferrari these repairs are NOT Cheap. $20K in surprise expenses. I was a California buyer relying on the professional standards of a reputable business in Ohio. That was my mistake. My serious mistake. Please see my post on their BBB page which Earl refused to respond to. The car was delivered to me with a check engine light and went STRAIGHT to my local mechanic where it got worked on for 3 months. Earl said that the engine misfiring was "impossible" and told me to drive the car until the check engine light away. LOL. I bought a 2014 Aston Martin V8 Vantage with a seized engine. The car was delivered to Earl Gibbs at North Coast Exotics to have the engine issue diagnosed and repaired. The issue was limited to the rear connecting rod journal with no other apparent damage. Dave and Earl had the crankshaft repaired and reassembled the engine with 2 new con rods, new bearings and gaskets. The repair cost was very reasonable considering the extent of the work and the relative rarity of the vehicle. I went to Cleveland about a year ago to collect the car. Since then, I have driven the car about 7000 miles with absolutely no issues. To say I am very pleased with the outcome is an understatement. read more

If you have a jaguar, you had best be bringing ti here to Earl. Earl has a second nature when it comes to even the weirdest problems with these cars. I've personally seen him find issues with cars in minutes that have stumped other, otherwise good, mechanics/garages completely. i have a 2004 murcielago i just bought, and in 2 months the transmission was a problem, would not go into first. dealership said that is how the car drives, but earl did some minor adjustments and fixed me right up. there were a few other minor things needing repair and he got tje job done reasonably. if the clutch or transmission needed replaced it could have been up to 7500. earl was very honest and knowledgable. thanks earl Dr. Joel read more

I have a 98 Jaguar XJ8. I have taken the car to two import repair shops in North Olmsted and was disappointed on price, time spent and workmanship. A friend told me about Earl at North Coast Exotics. My first visit was for a sticking front caliper. I expected to leave the car for a few days. I was pleasantly surprised when he said he would repair it in an hour. Quick and painless. On another visit I needed rear brake pads. He was ready to do it and said it would be an hour. This time however, as I am a part time mechanic, I chose to buy parts and do it myself. He provided a few tips and I completed the repair in about 2 hrs. From my few experiences, and watching them interact with other customers, I would say that they provide a good service, quickly ( obviously dependent on the issue) at a fair price. Could it be in a better neighborhood or a newer facility? Sure. Is that a requirement of mine, no. I'll be back. His team has a lot of knowledge and I like that they shared that knowledge even when they knew I was going to perform the work myself. I owned a 1995 Jaguar Vanden Plas and was glad I found Earl. He was highly recommended by the previous owner. Sure it's located in an unusual spot but the neighborhood respects Earl and the kindness he shows them. They actually look out for him and the cars that pass by on their way to the shop. His yard is a very interesting assortment of late model Jags and others, great to wander through while he's working on your car. Earl will more likely fix a part if possible rather than just swap it out. I've gone there and he and his crew will work on it while I wait if possible and has always been fair with the cost. I've recommended him to every Jag, Bentley, Maseratti and Rolls Royce owner I've meet on the street. read more
