They said that this time it was my heater core and has quoted me $940 before tax, couple days later he called me back saying it's gonna be another $100+ for a recharge. I agreed with the price despite just dumping $500-600 a couple weeks prior. my car has been with them since August 18th and is currently still working on this issue. when I call for an update the response that I received is the same " yeah I'm working on it right now. This is a big job. It's gonna take some time to do." then proceeds to ask me if I'm able to come down and look at their progress. Coming down to look at the progress doesn't really help me when I just need to know when my car is going to be done this is already been very costly. Within the last few weeks. I just don't understand how I have continue to wait over a week for a job that does not take this long when it could've originally been fixed when I took the car in the first time two weeks ago when I paid the five to $600 The issue of overheating. Whenever I call for an update, there are always seems to be some sort of unprofessional tone or manner being spoken as if they are annoyed or frustrated with me calling and checking on my car. And every time I call just the same response that the job takes a long time and that it should be done, but keeps taking longer and longer and will not be back again. And the first thing that they said to me is." we're not like other people we don't try to rip you off." Definitely did not get that vibe from this compan.

They did a phenomenal job on my breaks and even something as simple as an oil change they still took to time to change the filter and put air in my tires. They won't take shortcuts and take the time to do the extra minor stuff as well. Not to mention they had a friendly staff who was more than helpful with my concerns. Very informative and professional. Thank you Interstate!!

Update: Gilbert reached out to me personally to offer a…read morerepair credit. I upped my rating to four stars only because I think he's a really good guy and I'm not trying to ruin his business with a bad review. I still don't think I'll be returning, the last few encounters have been awkward and I'd rather just move on. But I do appreciate that the owner was willing to reach out to me personally. Just be wary of other employees and do your research on part pricing. ---------------------------- Pretty bummed about my recent experiences here. I used to only deal with Gilbert, and he was amazing. Always made me feel comfortable, was very upfront about what I needed and didn't need in order to save me money. I sent everyone to this garage when they asked for recommendations. In the last year and a half or so, I've been dealing with a different younger employee. HeI've needed a lot more work done the older my car gets. I felt pressured to make unnecessary repairs in my car (even got text messages a month after telling him I couldn't afford any extra repairs, they insisted on fixing my struts). I was quoted $1200 for a recent job but had to pay $1400. That never happened with Gilbert. After that, a few days after getting my car back I had a steering issue. Felt suspicious because he had explicitly told me I might have a steering issue in the future but I had over a year before I needed to worry about it. I took the car back, and was quoted $300. I brought a knowledgeable friend with me who called him out on the repair being their fault and also on the quoted price being outrageous. We found the part for $30. My friend repaired it in a half hour. I miss Gilbert and have lost faith in this shop. Unfortunately don't think I'll be returning.

I got my struts, rear sway bar, and spark plugs. I've been coming here for years now. They always…read moredo good work and if there's any issues they're more than happy to resolve them. Josh and his team are great. They're my go to mechanics especially if you're trying to save money and time.
