Here are the last few text messages between the salesman and me. Still waiting!

BUYER BEWARE With months of research on many brands/models, along with test drives and time sitting at dealerships, I went forward with North Coast Mitsubishi of Akron. I took the time to drive to Akron to purchase a vehicle I was promised, which included my Mazda lease trade in. I was asked at the time of purchase to give a rating prior to being handed the keys, I originally set at "5-stars" due to the staffs assistance and friendliness that quickly started to deflate after a day. The paperwork had incorrect information, which they already were told to update prior to signing. I had to drive in and get it fixed, which they adjusted my odometer reading and filed up the tank because of having to drive there to get it updated. One other sheet was incorrect during the process, but finance said it was fine and wouldn't affect anything moving forward. Also the 100k warranty language has major flaws in it which I pointed out during my visit at the Cleveland location. Just make sure if you are buying or plan to buy the vehicle you read through it completely. They promised me at signing multiple times they would cover it if I decided to buy the car out but wouldn't put anything in writing, which now I see why. After leaving there, I thought I would be good to go...On a more major note, they kept telling me I was good with the previous lease turn in and didn't need to do anything else on my end, well almost two months later, I'm still trying to get them to handle the Mazda portion of it and the vehicle has been purchased and is now off their lot. My account still shows as two months payments due with one outstanding payment due. I have been in communication with Mazda Financial and Mark, the salesman at the Mitsubishi dealership. He keeps saying Jon will touch base with me...still waiting! I'm spending more time dealing with this than I did researching vehicles. On a similar note, I seemed to know more about the vehicle I was driving than the salesmen I was dealing with. Note phev will cost you more even with the amazing rebates. You may save a little bit a month, a tiny bit, but even with that you still pay more because you also have to pay more for license plate renewals. They won't share these secrets with you. It is a wash and most likely will cost me more in the long run (TBD). There were other dealers I would go with if wanting a Mitsubishi, so check reviews before moving forward. Shopping for cars are never really fun and most dealers have bad reviews but must say there are some good eggs out there, one being Classic Mazda of Mentor. They are so worth the drive, trust me. I made a huge mistake not just moving forward with them! Most important lesson, DO NOT GO WITH Notth Coast Mitsubishi of Akron!

If you don't pick up, they will keep calling you even after they left you a vmail the 1st time. Then they blow you up with text messages.

We barely had time to eat the pizza we brought along before Joe was at the table telling us that our car was ready and waiting. In that 30 minutes however, I was dismayed by the behavior of two showroom employees. One, a mature woman with red hair, actually stopped and snorted at David and made a rude comment and the other, a tall youngish male with slightly long hair, spoke dismissively about a woman who apparently had been left waiting in the front because she had asked to see someone right away. :/ But Joe and the service department were amazing ! Thanks

About a year and a half ago, I bought a vehicle from Great Lakes Honda in Akron OH. It was in great…read morecondition, and I got it for a good price, and had no issues. We needed another car, and I decided to try them again. I found a car I was interested in, but the web site said it was still being serviced. That was on a Wednesday. The following morning I got an email asking if I'd like to make an appointment to test drive it that day or the next. I explained that I was two hours away, and would try to make it there on Saturday. I made an appointment, and contacted them again on Saturday morning saying I would be a little later. She replied saying that was no problem. I got down there and told the receptionist I had an appointment with that person, and was told that the woman I was emailing was just a scheduler. They assigned me to a salesperson, who took an unusually long time to bring the car out. The first thing he did was open the trunk, and it was littered with coloring books, a women's purse, and other things. We got in the car, and my wife noticed a foot-long crack in the windshield. I started the car, and saw that the display screen was cracked on both edges, with the image only showing in the middle of the display. A warning light was on as well. I started moving through the lot slowly, and heard a metallic scraping from the right front wheel, and every imperfection in the parking lot caused loud thunking noises from the left rear suspension. As I accelerated on the street, there was a loud buzzing like the left rear tire was rubbing against the fender. I turned around after a half a block and returned to the dealership. The salesman asked if there was another car I might be interested in. There was another car, though with more miles than I wanted, that I might consider. Their website had said that was in detailing. After another long wait, the salesman returned to say the car wasn't even on the lot but was being serviced at another location. So my wife and I spent an hour at the dealership, four hours driving, and a tank of gas, for nothing. And the salesman let slip that the "woman" who invited me down and arranged the appointment was an A.I. bot. Why bother being inconvenienced by having an employee spend a minute or two emailing or texting a customer what the real situation is, when you can have an A.I. bot create an alternate reality and put five hours of inconvenience on the customer. Who cares about losing the customer and getting bad reviews, I guess. And to top it off, a sales manager texted me the following day to see how things went. He apologized, and asked what other car I was looking at. I then received a phone call from another salesperson, and a follow up text saying "I'm sorry to hear about your experience before. Hopefully I can make it better in the future... Once it's out of service, I'll let you know!" I continued to check the status of the car on their web site, but it still said it was in service. I finally put my contact info into the web site again, and then was told that it had been sold. I never heard back from the salesperson that it was out of service. Maybe the sales manager and other salesperson were A.I. bots, too.

I'm going to share with you my experience with Ken ganley Toyota of Akron. I've been very pleased with the 2017 Cherokee I bought for my daughter a few years ago. I set up a search alert on cars.com for a Cherokee 2019 or newer. Up popped a Trailhawk Elite which is basically the regular Cherokee but it's lifted a bit and looks kind of cool and has a hist of safety systems like emergency braking Lane departure etc to help keep a 16-year-old driver safe. I contacted the dealer and met a salesman by the name of Chauncey Clausen... Like the pickle he said. I made arrangements to drive to Akron which is about an hour away to test drive the vehicle and give it a once over. NADA had this vehicle about 6,500 more than it was listed. They did a fair job detailing it and Chauncey was kind and personable. He explained to me the process and we took the car for a test drive and I immediately saw that the service four-wheel drive light was on. It shouldn't have been because of their multi-point inspection they put the cars through before they put them on the lot. The interior was in great shape the exterior was also in great shape for 67,000 mi. I told Chauncey of the service four wheel drive light and we made a deal of my purchase of the car contingent upon investigating and repairing whatever was wrong with the four-wheel drive light. Two days later the Toyota store gave up on trying to fix it and sent it to the Jeep store where they diagnosed it needed a PTU also known as a transfer case. Here is where I'm appreciative of chauncey, and Ken ganley Toyota. I worked very closely with the Jeep store and the part alone was about $3,200, which the dealership unfortunately had to absorb per the deal. They were very clear and upfront with me and some good natured ribbing made me realize that they are definitely in the red on this deal. But they went through it anyway. It took 5 weeks to get the car repaired and fortunately I was not in a hurry and am very patient. I got to see Chauncey again upon delivery and dealing with the f and I guy was also a very quick and painless experience. I was pre-qualified and had a loan from my credit union so I was aware that this deal was probably not going to net them any profit. The purpose of my post is not to rub it in but to explain that there are some folks that will stick by their agreements and follow through. This dealership probably could have pulled the deal and this review would look very different than it does right now. Overall I'm very happy with the car and I do have to do some repairs and upgrades that are commensurate with the wear and tear one would expect. But overall my salesman Chauncey was quite the righteous dude. Honest forthright up front and a genuine nice fella. If Mr ganley does get to read this I hope you will throw Chauncey a couple of bucks as he is a statesman of this dealership. This will be my second car I have purchased from ganley. Overall I really can't think of anything other than to say thanks and it was a pleasure doing business with you.

We were in search of a Grand Highlander Limited Hybrid and soon discovered they are in high demand. We couldn't find one in our state that met our specs so expanded our search to Ohio (and beyond). My husband did his due diligence and found a vehicle that met our requirements at this dealership. He communicated with 'Emily' and 'Kennedy' via text regarding the car and had a quote. We were preparing to make the 7 hour drive to purchase it when he heard back from Deepan Sonar, Sales/Lease Consultant who informed him that there was a $10k markup on the car 'due to the high demand'. This is ridiculous and felt fraudulent. Needless to say, my husband ended the call with Deepan and we did not purchase the car from Ganley. We found the exact car (including the cool color!) with minimal dealer add-one at a FANTASTIC dealership in Pennsylvania, completed the deal in under an hour and we're back on the road home. Don't be deceived- due your homework and find the ethical and stellar dealership down the road. Good luck!

I would highly recommend WMC. I've worked with salesman Nick Fleming in most cases, but you will receive outstanding and respectful service from anyone on the team. They are all approachable, flexible, kind, open-minded and willing to work with you. They listen to their customers and do not apply sales pressure. (there is no need, because they are so good!) Obviously, the vehicles are always priced right, (fairly) that's why I continue to go back and will continue to do so. On May 2, 2020 I picked up a 2019 Chevy Colorado and I absolutely love it. My wife and I were even talking about wanting to make future purchases from them despite the distance!
