My husband and I were looking for a used Jeep. We were working with Mike trying to find the right vehicle for our needs. We found one that we really liked and almost had a deal made when Mike comes back with a $3,000 increase to the car price. He said that there was some fine print that he wasn't aware of in the 0% financing. Mike claimed that the 0% financing could only be offered on a car's original price not a reduced price. So, we would have to pay $3,000 more for the car to receive 0% financing from the bank. My husband and I left the dealership immediately. Anyone would understand that we were both furious, with good reason! We did receive a call from customer relations and told her the entire story. She said she would speak to the manager. Very poor experience. I worked remotely, via text with salesperson Ben Petrone while looking for a new lease on a ram 1500. I'm about 1.5 hours away so working remotely was helpful. I gave him all the information of my trade in, vin, miles, payoff etc. He presented me with one option that was much higher monthly than the customer service rep I previously spoke with suggested it would be. I stated I was surprised at the cost due to my previous conversation with the customer service associate. When he asked what I thought it would be I explained the conversation I had a few hours earlier about the "great lease deals" and end of month options. He told me if I wanted that price to "Just keep what you have then". I bought a 2022 Jeep Gladiator on March 11, 2025. I have great credit and had it all done with my local CU and took them a check. My Chevy truck trade in had a really low interest rate, but they text me a few days later wanting $80+ for new interest before pay off. It doesn't accrue that in a month. I had to argue with them and called my credit union to find that the pay off changed by $11. They dropped that request. They boast on their inspection and service of used vehicles for sale, but here I am barely 3,000 miles later with the change oil light on. I get everything for a complete service, and the cabin and air filter to include the filter boxes are just nasty dirty. I haven't off-roader it at all, and mainly just drive to get my children and to the store. I don't believe that anything was done. I even had to clean black paint overspray in some areas. I will not go back there again, and I highly warn anyone who does go to Fred Martin. read more

I do not recommend this place to anyone. I recently had my car serviced through this place due to the warranty I had with them. It took just under a month to fix a problem that I was told would take 15 hours max to complete. When I initially brought the car in I was told no rental vehicles are available at the time. I followed up a couple days later to see if a rental was available yet and was told I could get a rental for 55$ a day. I guess customers don't get courtesy rental cars while their vehicle is getting serviced, unless you pay extra. No other big dealerships I've ever been to have had this type of inconvenience. Once or twice a week I would call for updates on the status of my vehicle and was told inconsistent dates of completion every time. Finally when I received my vehicle back the interior was dirty. It looked like someone handled some tires before entering my car with all the black marks on the seats. My seats are a light cream color so dark/dirty areas are easily seen. My steering wheel was sticky with the same black stains and I was very displeased. The exterior not being washed before returning was another shock to me as every other dealer I've been to at least washes the outside before returning to customers as a show of respect and appreciation for choosing them as your service location. I don't expect a full on detail inside and out but the cleanliness all around was subpar. I keep my car meticulously cleaned and maintained myself and to see my car returned in dirtier condition than what I had left it in was ludicrous. Finally, when I returned home to inspect my engine bay I was greeted with an engine extraction bracket of some kind still attached to my engine block. This concerned me as to what else they forgot/left behind while servicing my car. I usually do all the maintenance/repair work myself, but was unable to tackle a project such as a torque converter replacement. I purchased a used certified vehicle from Fred Martin, there was an issue with the Fog light when I purchased the vehicle. It was part of the deal to have it fixed now mind you I purchased this vehicle in October of 2023. And I brought this car back twice over this issue. It is now May of 2024 and we are still having this same issue. I am not happy with this dealership at all because every time I have to make an appointment, I have to jump through hoops in order to speak with someone. Making an appointment at this dealership is the worse experience I ever have. The MGR ignored my daughter in the conversations about a truck. He lied about Dodge not making anymore trucks (maybe not 2021's bc I know the 2022's are right around the corner). ZERO STARS!! Save yourself the hassle & buy your car elsewhere. My husband & I were looking to buy a used Jeep Wrangler that we saw online & he made the trip to go test drive it after work (side note: we live about an hour away from Norton, Ohio, where they are located). He liked it & was pre-approved so we made the trip down together that Saturday to sign the papers & take it home. The sales process was fine & we proceeded home. When I got home (I drove my car & he was driving the "new" Jeep), I received a call from my husband saying he was on the side of the road. I went to go help & he text our salesman about what was going on since it was after hours. After trying to jump start it with no success, we had to call a tow truck to get it to our house (we were only a few miles away), and we eventually got it home, after sitting in the rain for over an hour on a Saturday night... fun times. After some back & forth we got it towed back down to Fred Martin & it took over 4-5 days to fix. We had to make a separate trip to pick up the rental car I had asked for (It was not offered, but we both work so transportation is important...). We got the Jeep back, it started to overheat after only 3 days. My husband called on Thursday & the same tow truck came to pick it up. They called on Friday saying that they could not look at it until Monday. I called them back to see if they could provide a rental & had to leave a message. I did receive a very nice call back from James Clemens, (I believe he is the Service Manager?) saying that a Rental Coordinator would call me tomorrow (Saturday 3/23/19) so we could pick up a rental at a location closer to our home since we both have to work on Monday. Long story short, we never received a phone call on Saturday. I called and left a message, nothing. I called on Sunday and was told that no one in Service is there & the only people in the building were the Sales department. When I asked if I could speak to someone over there, I was met with a serious attitude and an "ugh.. fine". I was then transferred to someone in Sales basically just saying that he can't do anything and to just call back Monday at 7:30am. I am LIVID at this point. I made it clear when asking for the rental that I needed it before Monday because I have to leave at 6am and my husband leaves at 5:30am for work. This whole experience has been way more trouble than it's worth. All I can say now is BUYER, BEWARE. Save yourself the headache & steer clear of this place. Just to add to this crazy situation... My husband is on the phone with his grandma trying to borrow her car for tomorrow so he can get to work in the morning. Don't go there unless you want to be a victim of a rip off. ripped I purchased a new car there. Had it for two weeks. All of a sudden dashboard indicators show me that I had no brake, tail lights, turn signals or headlights. They try to shaft you by telling you that your credit will be effected due to your withdrawal. Didn't happen. The first salesman was polite enough when I returned from the test drive and asked about checking a couple of things or perhaps reducing the cost. Another salesman entered and said that not ALL cars are safety checked as per their ad (depending on cost) I had been there approximately 2 hours, was disappointed about their written inaccuracies and was prepared to leave. OH BUT NO- in comes a 3rd salesman, and as I was trying to leave, insisted I stay as no hear what he had to say about arranging a "DEAL" for me. I kept trying to go but this man was relentless, insisting this was a good deal, about buying something more expensive, that I wasn't interested in. I had received a text in the mean time and again said I had to go. Well 2 more hours went by and he was so sure of himself that he had me hooked, I retorted for the LAST time to let me think about it. He finally let me go but suddenly became sort of salty about it. I left DISGUSTED and actually felt sorry for the first salesman, as I felt he was new,and they swooped down to snatch the sale away from him. Super is a good name for this place. I live quite a ways from the location but we bought our 2011 Wrangler here about a year ago. The sales experience was a good one. Recently I got a recall notice from them and scheduled an oil change, a small warranty repair issue and the recall for 9:15 am today. Got a nice email confirmation and reminder and showed up about 9:05. They have a drive up bay and I was inside and out of my car in about two minutes after going over what needed to be done with my service rep. They had told me it would be three or four hours so I was prepared to wait that long. I settled in for some laptop work on the free wifi. They have several LCD displays which keep you updated on the progress on your vehicle. by 11:15 mine went from "working" to "finishing" and by 11:20 my service rep was out with the paperwork and my keys. A minute later I was done at the cashier and found my washed and ready wrangler waiting outside. Try the free popcorn if you get hungry while waiting. All in all a 5 star experience. I'll drive the extra distance for the service in the future! read more

I got my car through Trusty Motors who services their vehicles with Fred Martin. within the first month I had issues with the car and it had to be towed to Fred Martin. My car was there for 2 weeks. I had poor communication with service. I received updated via text/phone call about vehicles that weren't mine! Nothing for mine though. Finally after multiple phone calls I got my car back. My check engine light came on and I was told to take it to Fred Martin where it would be covered. when I scheduled my appointment I explained Im a single Mother with 3 jobs so I can't go 2 weeks again with no car. Dean made an appointment with me to drop it off Wednesday evening since they'd need to keep it for testing which could take a day or two. It's now Friday and Dean tells me it hasn't even been looked at yet! Again testing itself will take a day plus! So this will be a process of upwards to 5-6days they expect me to be without a vehicle just for testing purposes! Why have it dropped off 2 days early? He said because he needed time to check it in! 2 days to sit to check it in? I would not recommend to anyone! At all! Extremely unprofessional and communication is extremely poor. read more

I didn't buy my Jeep here, so I don't have an opinion on the sales team, but I get my oil changes and other maintenance done here and I have zero complaints. They do a great job and are always friendly out in the service area. Usually, it's a pretty quick process but I've had a few times that took a little longer because they were busy. I'm ok with the wait though. They have free coffee, free popcorn and a nice selection in their vending machines in the waiting area. Overall I've had really great experiences at this place. Honestly, if I could give this business zero stars I would. My husband and I are military from New Mexico and we just moved back home to Medina and my husband was in serious need of a new truck because his truck wasn't safe for our two-month-old son and I needed my car on a daily in order to get things done. We decided to take the jump on a new truck and thought Fred Martin would be a good option. Fast forward two weeks later, my husband's check engine light is on for an unknown reason. My husband took it to the dealership, they didn't disclose that they would charge him $150 to diagnose anything past a certain amount of time buying the truck as is. This is my husband's first time buying a new vehicle on his own. He takes it to AutoZone and the code for a new oil filter comes up, my husband checks the oil and it's almost completely black. They didn't even have the decency to change the oil before we drove it off the lot. Zero out of 10 recommend these people are crooked. We're also predicting that he'll need to change his brakes within the next couple weeks because his brakes are already starting to squeak, small things like this especially when concerning safety, should've been taken care of already. they obviously don't give a care about their customers. read more

I don't recommend going this location at all. I've been a customer for over 2 years. Other than them remotely shutting down your car when you ever managed to fall behind on a payment, I haven't had too many issues..til now. Around the beginning of May during the pandemic I took my car into Fred Martins service department to get things fixed covered by my warranty with my out of pocket costs landing around $470. During this time I won't have a car because I was told Fred Martin does not supply rentals or donor cars despite me seeing someone receive one right before u asked. After 3 WEEKS and barely any updates, I decided to call and complain about the length of time taken on my vehicle and that it's hindering me from working and because of that, I won't have the money to cover both repairs and car payments by the time it was done. I got a call back a day later where it was FINALLY revealed to me that a vendor had come by in the service department and his truck scratched my car and some of its paint off and the reason why they kept my car so long was to do a paint job to cover it. Despite how livid I was and how dishonest they were, they reconciled the situation by offering me a rental, after being told they don't supply them, in order to get to work and make up some money to cover the costs of my repairs because my money was dwindling during these weeks with no income, and of course they offer to cover the paint job. After finally getting a rental to go back to work, they asked for it back in 72 hours. When I asked for more time they initially said no, bt due to our schedule not matching up perfectly, I ended up having it an extra weekend. By the following Monday they told me they were charging me $25 a day for the rental despite them knowing I'm doing everything I can to make the money I need to get my car back from them. Once a day was agreed upon for Fred Martin to pick up the car, I left it right where I told them it would be- in my parking lot. A whole week went by and I heard nothing from them. Weird. I called Monday and Tuesday, and also sent texts messages to the man who's been handling my repairs and the rental who had been texting me from that number for the past month. I got nothing. When I called to tell them I had the money, could drop off the car myself and pick up mine because no one got back to me, the man who answered the phone knew nothing of a rental and told me my NEW balance for my repairs was almost $900, part of that total being the PAINT JOB for my car when the vendor scratched it u set their watch. Since that conversation no one has returned my calls or texts and as of now I can't drop it off because I won't be able to get my car back because the new fees are more than what I had originally which was the $470. As of today it's about 5 weeks and I still have the rental and after not hearing from them in a week, Fred Martin called and left a voicemail threatening to report the car stolen and charges against me. You could imagine my reaction. I called back AND OF COURSE no one answered even and even after I left a voicemail no one returned my calls. They don't care. This place is beyond shady and just an hour ago I started taking legal action. This place is bogus, dishonest, and ridiculous. Never go here. 0 STARS!! read more

MUST READ PLEASE READ: After 10 months of having my vehicle the back tires popped while on the highway, very nearly causing an accident, when I went to get the tires replaced I was told the back tires on the vehicle are 10 years old (mind you the car itself isn't even 10 years old). When I called Fred Martin and spoke to many different people, I was told it is essentially my own fault for not noticing before I drove off the lot. Terrible and immoral. I've had nothing but problems with the vehicle and even more issues with the service practices. Below is a review I wrote 1 month after having the vehicle (so about 9 months ago) and did not post, after my near death experience yesterday I had a change of heart about posting it. Hope you find it helpful. 1. They gave me a spare key that doesn't work. I called them 2 days later and their response was for me to YouTube it and fix it myself and that they don't guarantee a working spare key??? 2. Window stopped working 3 weeks in, was stuck down my warranty (which I signed up for all coverage and pay extra $40 a month) covers the issue and promises a rental car while it is being repaired. I came in today to get it fixed and they had no rental cars for me regardless of me being promised one on official Documentation and on the phone the day before by service manager Scott. I had to miss Work and sit for 5hours waiting for a simple window fix, it ended up taking 2 weeks and I was without a car for almost 2 days before they got my rental 3. Most or all calls to the dealership after I left with my car gets dodged or ignored. 4. Financial director Paul Misch & salesman Dave Simon told me once I sign up for the 2,4 or 5 years protection there was no going back on it, come to find out I had 30 days to cancel any warranties I signed up for (he was very deceiving) Moral of the story is this is not the place you want to get a car. I'm very glad I waited a month after the car purchase to write this review because their true colors show when they already have your money. The sales staff didn't really want to offer too much help and acted as if they were annoyed when the deal took longer than expected. I work until 5pm and it takes time to get out there - so don't act like you are doing me a favor when I could easily go to another dealership and spend my money. The maintenance department is a little sketchy when assessing repairs and take no accountability with they make a mistake/error. Update re: Fred Martins response: any update? I bought my used 2011 Jeep one year ago. I noticed a few months in that the sunroof has a slow leak. Called to have them fix it and they said my warranty doesn't cover it and it would cost $150 just to find out what the problem is, plus on top of whatever the repair cost would be. Now at a year later there is a rust hole by the back window hinge that I'm scared will break off any day now, my windshield wiper fluid only sprays on one side and the spray points too low that it doesn't even cover the windshield, there is some electrical issues going on where my stereo cuts on/off and the tire pressure gage reader cuts in/out. I had them check the radio close to when I first purchased and they said they couldn't find an issue. Definitely should have done more research with this car. I am assuming they just "patched" this car up to make it appealing to the buyer. Now I am stuck with all these problems I have no idea how I am going to afford to fix them! Would not recommend going here for a used car. read more
